Chapter 338: Slime of Gluttony (3)
[New title obtained: Pioneer of the Monster Race]
[Two new avatar slots have been added.]
"Title, is that it?"
Well, I didn't let myself get hung up on this for too long as I went to see what benefits the title had for me.
Though when I saw it, I couldn't help being disappointed.
Pioneer of the Monster Race: A leader among the monsters, one that is to be admired.
"There isn't even anything special about this title…what's the point of this?"
That was all that I could say when I saw this…
At least there were two more avatar slots that we could use, even if there really wasn't anything that we needed right now. At least we had the option if there was something that we needed.
I didn't even bother saying anything to the other two that were with me since there was no need for me to say anything.
After all, they would have received the same thing since we all had shared stats.
Instead, I turned my attention back to the slime clone that was inside of the Spatial Bag.
I had lost connection with the slime clone after I had lost consciousness while evolving.
As such, I had no idea what was happening inside of the Spatial Bag right now.
When I connected to the slime clone, I was surprised by the scene that was inside.
"What is happening here?"
"What do you mean?" Stark asked from behind me when he heard me say this.
I didn't say anything as I focused on the scene inside of the Spatial Bag.
After all, even if I were to describe it to them, it would have been hard for them to believe what I was describing. I was seeing it and it was hard for me to believe as well.
So that was why I just focused on what was happening inside of the Spatial Bag.
The slime clone had been placed back on the ground, but it wasn't because the pile of ooze was done with the slime clone.
Rather, it seemed like there was a reverence that the pile of ooze had for the slime clone with the way that it stood there in front of it. It was almost as if the pile of ooze was waiting for orders from the slime clone.
It really didn't make sense why the pile of ooze would be acting like this…
But once I connected to the slime clone and started moving, the pile of ooze seemed to react as well.
The first thing that the pile of ooze did was reach out its tentacles as if it was worried about the slime clone.
After thinking about it, I decided to speak with the slime clone.
"I'm fine."
The pile of ooze seemed to understand the words that came from the slime clone as it reacted to what I said. But then it still acted as if it was worried about the slime clone with how it reached its tentacles out.
While it was doing that, I could tell that it was trying to give the slime clone more nutrients just like before.
Only this time, it really seemed like the pile of ooze was offering it to the slime clone.
It wasn't a normal kind of offering, it was as if it was offering to something that was higher up than it.
It was as if it was offering it to some kind of superior.
I couldn't understand why the pile of ooze was acting like this at first, but then I couldn't help thinking of the title that I received.
That title said that I was now a leader among monsters…
This pile of ooze was considered a monster.
So did that mean that having this title would make it so that other monsters would find it easier to submit to me?
Of course, it wouldn't be monsters that were considered strong monsters.
It would most likely only be weak monsters…
This pile of ooze that was created from a slime could technically be considered that.
"I'm fine. Can you follow me?" I asked through the slime clone.
The pile of ooze bounced up and down as if it was agreeing to this.
Then I opened the Spatial Bag with my main body and released the slime clone and the pile of ooze.
Stark and Rothchild on the side were looking at me as if I was crazy, but they didn't stop me as they watched to see what I was planning to do.
Once the pile of ooze appeared, the first thing that it did was get in front of the slime clone as if it was protecting it.
It didn't seem like it was hostile towards me, but it seemed like it was hostile towards Stark and Rothchild.
"Wait, it's fine. They're with me."
Instead of speaking through the slime clone, I spoke through my main body this time.
The pile of ooze seemed to react to this as it turned to look at me.
After a while, it seemed to relax a bit.
It seemed like the pile of ooze was able to recognize my main body and submit to it as well.
"This is…?" Stark asked in a confused voice.
"Well it's hard to explain, but I think that it will listen to me now."
"Huh?" Both Stark and Rothchild seemed confused by this, but it really wasn't something that I could explain that easily.
But at least the one good thing out of this was the fact that I could now control the pile of ooze.
While it wasn't certain that it would remain under my control, at least it was under my control now.
So unless it was necessary, we wouldn't need to contain this pile of ooze in the Spatial Bag.
Though I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed since it seemed like this was the extent of the special race and evolution that I had just obtained.
I had been expecting a bit more out of it…
