Chapter 361: Birth of the Sword Demon
Zain leaned forward, his crimson eyes fixed on Zelia. "Big sister… what kind of abilities do you want?"
Zelia didn't hesitate. "Swords."
"I want the power related to swords or blades. Something that will let me overpower any enemy."
Zain smirked faintly. "I see… so you want a supreme power. Something like a Sword Saint, but far beyond."
He turned to the glowing screen before him.
[Member Registered: Zelia Zavathor]
[Collar Created: Sword Demon Collar]
[Proceed with Ability Creation?]
Zain's lips curled upward. "Perfect."
He tapped the first option. "Like the others, you'll need a body ability, something to refine you completely."
[Ability Created: Sword Demon God]
[Effect: Absorbs any energy and turns it into Sword Demon Ether, sharpening Zelia's body, mind, and blades.]
Zain nodded in satisfaction. "Good. That covers the foundation."
He moved to the second. "Now for your ether, your true weapon. Let's make it absolute… the supremacy of swords."
[Sword Demon Ether]
[Effect: Turns ether into swords or coats blades to make them stronger. Can control many flying swords at once. Enemies hit feel phantom cuts, fear more strikes, and lose focus.]
Zain smirked as he read the result. "Flying swords, phantom cuts, fear… a perfect fit."
Finally, he tapped the last option. "And of course, your domain. The world itself will become your blade."
[Sword Demon Zone]
[Effect: A domain where all enemies are instantly marked. Fear slows them down, they can't escape her strikes, and everything in the zone can be turned into swords.]
Zain leaned back, satisfied. "Now this… this is supreme."
In an instant, a collar formed in his hand, black, with crimson red patterns glowing faintly across its surface.
It resembled his own, dark and commanding.
He held it up toward Zelia. "Your collar is ready."
Zelia stepped closer, her eyes lingering on the crimson glow. "…It looks like yours."
Zain smirked. "Of course. You are my sister. The Sword Demon."
Zelia gave a small smile, then reached out.
She took the collar without hesitation and raised it to her neck.
The moment it touched her skin, it locked in place.
Her clothes instantly disintegrated into dust, leaving her bare.
She didn't flinch, didn't cover herself, only stood straight. "You're family, Zain. I know you won't do anything foolish."
Zain's smirk deepened. "Naturally. The collar only strips you to rebuild you perfectly."
In the next moment, black ether surged over Zelia's body like flowing liquid.
It wrapped tightly around her form, shaping into a sleek black bodysuit lined with crimson veins of light.
Over her shoulders, a short black jacket with crimson trims formed, sharp and battle-ready.
Savra whistled softly. "Looks good on you, Zelia."
Velra smirked. "Mm, now you look like one of us. Finally complete."
Zelia flexed her hands, feeling the power coursing inside her.
The ether around her quivered, and in response, dozens of small blades shimmered into existence, floating in the air around her.
She could feel their sharpness as if they were her own fingers.
Her eyes widened slightly. "These abilities… they're incredible."
She turned to Zain, her voice steady but full of awe. "I can feel everything."
"Every sword, every strike. No wonder Velra and Savra were so happy when they got theirs."
Zain leaned back with a calm smile. "Of course. This is the power of the Heavenly Demon Sect. Now you finally have what you deserve, big sister."
Zelia clenched her fist, then relaxed, her flying blades fading into motes of crimson light.
She looked at him with a rare softness in her eyes. "…Thank you, Zain."
Zain's smirk returned. "Don't thank me yet. You'll show me how sharp those blades really are soon."
---
Zain leaned back on his throne, chewing on a piece of roasted devil meat.
His crimson eyes slowly swept over the three women before him.
Each of them now had their own collar, their own class, their own power.
They weren't just followers anymore, but the upper echelon of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
He swallowed and asked, "So… what do you think we should do now?"
Savra crossed her arms, a sly grin on her lips. "The answer's simple. We expand."
"With your [Heavenly Demon Sect], this Devil Nest is basically ours."
"Why leave it crawling with devils when we can claim the whole thing?"
Velra licked her fingers from the last bite of meat and smirked. "Agreed."
"The core of the Devil Nest should belong to us alone. No devils needed, this place should carry our name, not theirs."
But Zelia shook her head, still eating slowly, her calm eyes on the meat in her hands. "I don't think we should clear all the devils."
Velra raised an eyebrow. "And why not?"
Zelia looked at them steadily while taking another bite. "Because their meat is far too valuable."
"Ordinary beasts or monsters outside don't have what we need. But devils… devils are perfect."
"Their flesh is poisonous to others, but for us, it's full of ether. It fuels us better than anything else."
Zain nodded slowly. "She's right. The meat strengthens us because the ether inside them is corrupted, just like our own. What poisons others, feeds us."
Zelia gave a faint smile. "Exactly. So instead of wiping them all out, we keep the useful ones."
"The devils that are too troublesome, too hard to cook... We remove them."
"But the ones like the boar devils or bird devils… we keep them alive. They'll be our food supply."
Savra chuckled. "Hah, keeping devils like cattle. That's an amusing thought."
Velra smirked. "And a practical one. I like it. But are you suggesting we… tame them?"
"Yes." Zelia nodded. "Tame them. Keep them under control. Not only as food but also as guardians."
"People outside fear devils, don't they? Imagine if the Heavenly Demon Sect had tamed devils patrolling its lands. No one would dare step inside."
Zain leaned forward, setting down the bone of the meat he had finished.
His smirk was sharp. "A nest filled with devils that obey us… guardians to the outside, livestock to the inside. That's quite a good idea."
Savra laughed softly. "Now that sounds like the Heavenly Demon Sect I want to serve."
Velra's grin widened. "Then it's settled. We'll hunt, cook, and tame. This Devil Nest will truly become the Heavenly Demon's Nest."
Zain raised his cup of devil-blood wine and smirked. "Good. Then let's begin. From today on, this place is ours."
