HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me

Chapter 198: 198

"Huh!?" Yang Ze didn't even have time to breathe when Lin Meilin spoke with an alluring smile. Raising his head in confusion, he gazed at her, wondering what she meant by those words.

"What? Confused?" Lin Meilin's smile widened as she shook her head gently before speaking in a soft voice. "Didn't you see your posters all over the town?"

"...." Yang Ze didn't reply but kept on looking at Lin Meilin.

"Earlier, I was wondering what I should teach you, and after thinking about it for a long time, I came to the realisation that you don't need any more techniques or hidden skills. Instead, what you need is combat experience and to hone your character."

"And this…" Waving her hand, a poster with Yang Ze's disguised face appeared in her hand as she continued further. "This is the perfect opportunity."

Listening to her, Yang Ze had a bad feeling in his heart. For some reason, she seemed even more excited than himself. He couldn't help but ask with narrowed eyes.

"What exactly do you mean by those words?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Lin Meilin snapped her fingers, and with that, the poster in her hand disintegrated into dust.

"I want you to go and face the pursuit of the Sword Sect."

"I want you to try and escape the members of the Sword Sect who are after your life."

"I want you to fight back and learn in the process."

Yang Ze looked at her in silence, wondering if there was something wrong with her head. Why would he need to fight back against a horde of people wanting to kill him when he can simply change his appearance?

"And why exactly would I do that?" He couldn't help but shake his head in response.

"Isn't it better to just head to the arena and hone my fighting skills there?"

In every small and major city, there would be an arena where people would challenge each other. Although Yang Ze had never seen them or participated in them, it was a much better viable option than facing the pursuit of an entire sect.

"..."

"..."

Lin Meilin just stayed silent for a while before shaking her head with a smile.

"Do you know what you are lacking?"

She asked in a soft voice while her eyes scanned the boy who was covering half his face with a piece of black cloth.

"What?" Yang Ze asked in a flat tone.

"Resolve." Lin Meilin just spoke a single word.

"You have been living in your comfort zone for a little too long."

"Till now, you never actually faced any hardship, did you?"

"And every hardship that you faced… You ran away from it."

"How am I doing so far?"

Listening to her words, Yang Ze couldn't help but clench his fists. It was an uncomfortable truth that he didn't want to face. Just like Lin Meilin said… he had been living a rather laid-back life… Just letting the events undfold themselves with no intention of participating.

Till now, he had been running away from everything. Till now, he had never actually fought back and just lived a passive life.

In his eyes, as long as it wasn't life-threatening, he couldn't care less about it. And because of his indecisiveness, he was in his current situation.

He didn't fight when Lin Wan took action against him. He didn't fight when she dragged him around with her. He didn't fight when he was dragged by Lin Yue to the Duality Sect. He didn't fight back when he was dragged around by Cang Yue…

He was like a football, with everyone kicking him as they pleased, while he just went with the flow.

It was an ugly truth… something that he never wanted to think about or face. But now that Lin Meilin had pointed it out, he couldn't help but close his eyes with his nails digging deep into his palm.

He couldn't help but wonder if things would have been different were he to stood up for himself and fight back!

"Earlier, when you faced the people who scammed you and sold you as a slave, you still couldn't take a firm decision."

"Do you know how many people they have defrauded like this? Do you know how many people have died because of them?"

The more Lin Meilin spoke, the harsher her voice got.

"What do you think would have happened if you didn't have the physique and appearance?"

"Do you think Lin Wan would have let you live?" With a scoff, Lin Meilin spoke further. Her every sentence was like a nail digging deep in Yang Ze's heart.

"Without your appearance and physique, you would have died within a few days after becoming a slave."

"How many slaves do you think actually live past a month?"

"Why do you think the major families always keep on buying slaves?"

"You would have lived and died a miserable death if not for your appearance and physique."

"In that case, wouldn't those two have been responsible for your death?"

Lin Meilin's voice turned cold as she spoke further.

"And you still couldn't bring yourself to kill those two bastards who, in a sense, killed you?"

The scene plunged into a brief silence with Yang Ze's heavy breathing and Lin Meilin's cold gaze.

"And you have the gall to ask me why you need this training?"

With a cold snort, Lin Meilin arrived in front of Yang Ze before raising her hand and then using her two fingers as a pair of pliers, grabbed Yang Ze's nose before twisting it slightly.

"....." Yang Ze didn't fight back. He was still lost in everything that Lin Meilin had told him.

"But I did give them their due punishment, didn't I?" He was still somewhat unwilling to accept what Lin Meilin was telling him. Perhaps it was his reason, perhaps it was his pride, or perhaps it was his naivety. Whatever the reason might have been, Yang Ze didn't believe that killing someone at the slightest fault was the answer.

"Punishment!" Lin Meilin couldn't help but scoff in response, twisting Yang Ze's nose even further as her alluring face had an expression of anger.

"Tell me… You gave them a sentence, and they managed to escape."

"What are you going to do then?"

"Throw them again?"

"What if they repeated it?"

"Do you want to keep on chasing them forever?"

"And even if you managed to keep them locked under your watch, do you think you can look after them for forty years?"

"If you truly spend forty years just making sure they stayed in prison, then who do you think is actually being punished?"

"Them… or YOU?"

Yang Ze's body trembled violently in response as he lowered his head, not daring to meet Lin Meilin's gaze. But with Lin Meilin clasping his nose, he couldn't do it even if he tried.

In the end, it was Lin Meilin who lifted his head while clasping his nose, forcing him to look her in the eyes.

"This is why you need this training."

"You need to let go of your naivety and get accustomed to the rules of the cultivation world as soon as possible."

"You need to give up your foolish way of thinking and mould yourself into someone new… someone better… someone who wouldn't grovel at the mention of the word 'trouble'. You need to become someone who can face any challenge head-on."

Taking a short breath, Lin Meilin released Yang Ze's nose before using her soft hand to take off the black cloth hiding Yang Ze's face, finally letting Yang Ze's true appearance out in the view.

She then gently stroked his face like an amiable elder caring for her junior before speaking further.

"You need to face troubles and difficulties head-on."

"You need to stop running away from everything that makes you afraid."

After speaking these words, Lin Meilin went silent for a long time, letting Yang Ze understand the weight of those words. She had been observing Yagn Ze for quite a while and had some basic understanding of him.

She knew he was capable of fighting back. After all, she had seen with her own eyes how he went against those demonic beasts and killed them.

She had seen how he fought Han She in desperation, even plucking out his eyes in order to fight back.

Such a person was a diamond in the rough. She believed that as long as Yang Ze gave up his indecisiveness and passive personality, he would be able to achieve great things.

Yang Ze didn't say a word but just stood there for a long time. With his otherworldly face that was feeling a gentle cool breeze for the first time in god knows how long and a desolate expression on his face… Even Lin Meilin was having a hard time keeping herself together.

She just kept on gently rubbing his cheek.

Yang Ze didn't know how much time passed. When he came back to his senses, Lin Meilin was still standing in front of him with a gentle smile, while her soft hand was still caressing his cheek.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Ze inhaled some of her mature, alluring scent that was tinged with the scent of milk before opening his eyes and speaking a single word in response.

"Fine."

It took Yang Ze all his courage and energy to speak it.

"I will listen to you for now."

Yang Ze wasn't blindly trusting her; he realised the truth in her words. Even though he didn't agree with a lot of things she said, he knew he was lacking severely in many aspects. Just as Lin Meilin mentioned… he had been living a rather soft and meek life. Never daring to fight back and take risks.

"What do I do?" Since he had already agreed to her, he wanted to know what he needed to do next. He couldn't simply go to the centre of Yuyang City with his disguised face and shout 'Come Get Me', could he?

"What should you do?" Lin Meilin merely let out a gentle smile that sent a chill down Yang Ze's spine.

Looking at her excited expression, he had a feeling that things were going to spiral out of control. He even had a feeling that he shouldn't follow what Lin Meilin was telling him to do.

But thinking about how he had lived a passive life till now, he gritted his teeth and chose to face whatever was coming his way.

"I have the perfect plan." With a smile, Lin Meilin simply waved her hand as both her and Yang Ze's figures disappeared from there, leaving behind an eerie silence that was witness to their conversation.

—-------------------

"...."

"...."

"This is the worst plan." Yang Ze, who was standing at a mound, while overlooking the small group of Sword Sect members, shouted in a low voice.

Earlier, he thought that perhaps Lin Meilin would have a perfect plan. In his mind, she was going to perhaps let him roam around a while, come in contact with other cultivators and learn from them before taking part in their conflicts.

But who would have thought that she would directly throw him in front of the Sword Sect group and tell him to fight them?

What was the difference between this and him standing butt naked in the centre of Yuyang City, announcing his presence?

In that instant, he couldn't help but wonder if he made the wrong choice.

"Stop dawdling around." Lin Meilin couldn't help but snort when she saw him standing stiffly.

"Didn't you say you are willing to learn?"

"Now go there."

*Gulp

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze simply summoned the mask on his face, covering his true appearance and turning him into a middle-aged man.

Gathering all his courage, he took a step forward but stopped mid-air.

"Wait, what am I supposed to do again?"

This time, Lin Meilin didn't reply to him, but looked at him with a smile that wasn't quite a smile before opening her cherry lips, taking a deep breath, looking at the sky above her and then screaming at the top of her lungs.

"THE EVIL BASTARD YANG ZE IS HERE."
