He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 276 What the hell was going on here ?

"Don't tell me he's gonna quit being the president of the Atrexia Society to join the Sword Tribunal Society?"

Xyra was the one to reply this time.

Zarek Atrexia could be seen floating through the skies with a carefree smile on his face. Of course, no one dared to attack him, completely clearing the path for him with fear visible on their faces. He seemed to have picked up on the gazes directed towards him, his gaze snapping sharply towards Xyra and Tyrax, concealing themselves from the crowd and observing everything from the shadows. He smiled lightly towards their direction, one that completely irritated Tyrax, then ignored them.

"That unpredictable smile on his face. I hate it," Tyrax said.

Xyra added, irritated, "What is that bastard planning?"

This Zarek was an unpredictable fellow, always resorting to schemes to get what he wants. The terrifying thing about him was, you never knew when he was always a step ahead of you. Actually, no one knew how strong he even was. Even the Councillors of the Student Council were wary of him, including Tyrax himself.

In the past, during a time period where Zarek was on a mission in one of the daunting solar systems of the academy galaxy, several assassins had been sent after him by the Student Council after he rejected their offer to join them in an extremely impolite manner. Each of the assassins, all supreme stage Ascendant level lifeforms boasting terrifying capabilities, were sent back to them not only killed hideously, but mutilated to a point that sent chills crawling up the spines of the Student Council—a realm of brutality that betrayed the smile he always wore on his face, making him all the more terrifying.

The Student Council, realising he was not to be messed with, left him alone. This was why Tyrax was mad when he saw Zarek. The attempt to kill Zarek had not only failed, it had cost the Student Council extremely talented assassins!

What happened next gave them the answer they needed, concerning what he was doing here. Two individuals followed closely behind him—Everlong Atrexia and Esimo Ashton.

"Big brother, you didn't have to escort us here," Everlong sulked.

"Don't be silly, little sister, what if someone bullies you?" Zarek replied, turning to pinch Everlong's nose in public, not in the least bit concerned about the weird reactions and gazes directed towards them.

What the hell? Who in their right mind would bully your sister? Do you think we want to die? The crowd was asking themselves the same questions. What were these freaks doing here?

"Naturally, since you've both decided to join the Sword Tribunal Society, I have to take this chance to meet Kailen Darkhaven, as I did not have the chance to communicate with him in front of the Conclave Mountains."

Did they hear right? From Zarek's words, two rich second generations from the Atrexia conglomerate and the Ashton Chamber of Commerce, a blacksmith clan with a strong foothold in the secondary Carrier Alliance of the empire that dealt a strong hand in the weaponry business of the empire, had instead decided to join a new society rather than the societies of their own families?

What the hell was going on here?

Xyra couldn't help but fume at this point! She was extremely pissed.

"It seems this little brother of yours wants to spite you at all cost. He'd rather join a different society than become a member of the society you are president of."

The truth of Tyrax's words only did wonders to cause her fury to soar to higher heights. However, he added, his voice managing to finally calm her down:

"Control yourself. The end of the Sword Tribunal Society is inevitable when Darkhaven dies at my hand. After that, you can crush your brother's pride as much as you please."

Xyra calmed down at his words.

"You are right. Thanks. I almost lost my composure."

"I wouldn't say almost... You did. Haha."

Xyra cleared her throat embarrassingly. She rolled her eyes at his teasing attempt, then spoke, her subtle yet palpable rage still evident in her voice.

"I have all the patience. I will owe you one then."

She furthered, "Also I can't help but think that Zarek is making an appearance here to let us, and the other societies, know that he is willing to back the Sword Tribunal Society and that if we try to mess with them, he is more than willing to lend them his support."

Tyrax replied, clearly irritated, "I honestly don't know what the bastard is thinking, but I don't really care. The Student Council own the academy, not him."

*****

Fourth year students residence planet.

In one of the large bedrooms of a flamboyant luxurious villa, Riba Harker lay sprawled on a large king sized bed beneath the sheets.

[Wake up... Wake up... You lazy—]

He yawned as his eyes flickered open at the annoying robotic alarm that rang.

"Fucking morning."

Begrudgingly, he slowly crawled out of bed, the weight of his round fat frame causing the ground to scream in pain. He walked clad in his loose t-shirt and pants as his fat wobbled here and there, towards the door after his gaze caught wind of the notification before him.

Managing to manoeuvre himself with dexterity that betrayed his fat frame, he finally arrived at the living room of his apartment, where a feminine figure was seated, staring at him with a smile on her face.

"I suppose being President of the Harkers Society has its perks huh, cousin."

Riba yawned, clearly not satisfied with the amount of sleep he just had.

"Oh please. If I knew it would be this stressful, I would have opted against it when I was elected as the president of the Harkers Society. Anyway, it's not every day that someone of your caliber graces a fat lazy bastard like myself with her presence, cousin Enna."

Riba cut straight to the point.

"Why are you here?"

He clearly wanted to go back to sleep. Enna noticed it too, not in the least annoyed that he seemed impatient for her to leave. Sighing and shaking her head at his cousin's lazy personality, she spoke...
