Harry Potter: Transmigrated Detective Link

Chapter 246: Out of Control

Responding to Link was a burst of wild laughter from Sirius.

This laughter was so piercing, as if it was mocking Link's impending shame and rage.

Unfortunately, Link did not go mad as he had anticipated. Instead, he nodded, smiling with narrowed eyes, and took from his pocket a small vial of potion as clear as water.

"If you don't want to speak, that's fine. I still have a bottle of Veritaserum here. I believe this will make you tell the truth."

Hearing this, everyone was shocked, and Snape's eyes widened slightly.

Because he knew very well that the Veritaserum Link now held was genuine.

It was something he had once tacitly allowed Link to take from him.

His lips moved twice, as if wanting to stop Link from doing this.

Of course, it wasn't because he was worried about Sirius. In fact, he would rather Sirius drink the Veritaserum and become an idiot.

It was just that if the one forcing Sirius to drink it was Link, then that would be somewhat troublesome.

Using a banned potion like Veritaserum without authorization could also land someone in Azkaban.

Snape did not want Link to ruin his promising future at such a young age.

But after hesitating for quite a while, he still couldn't get the words of dissuasion out. Because he suddenly remembered that behind Link stood the Flamel family.

With Mrs. Flamel's backing, even if Link really did this, the Ministry of Magic would not be able to do anything to him.

In the end, they might even have to commend Link, since it was him who had orchestrated the capture.

Thinking of this, Snape even faintly began to feel a trace of anticipation in his heart.

At this time, Sirius, on the other hand, was no longer laughing.

He stared at Link with a piercing gaze and spoke mockingly, "You want to know that badly?"

Link said nothing, but Professor Lupin beside them seemed rather anxious, constantly advising Sirius to shut his mouth and stop provoking Link further.

But how could Sirius listen to him?

"Then I'll tell you."

Sirius grinned. "Do you still remember when you were little, you were attacked by an unknown wizard?"

"Actually, the injuries you sustained then were not fatal at all. The doctors could have healed you easily. But your father, that ambitious man, thought this was a great opportunity to gain power!"

"He used the dark magic knowledge in the Flamel family's collection to carry out a bloodline transformation on you!"

"Do you know? They stuffed all sorts of blood into your body! Thunderbird, basilisk, phoenix… And they even put in the blood of many powerful wizards!"

"Among them were Dumbledore and Voldemort, and even the blood of Salazar Slytherin himself from ancient times! And they called it 'enhancing your talent'! But how could such an experiment possibly succeed?"

"On the night the experiment was completed, you lost control! He completely turned you into a monster! You went mad, attacking every living creature you could see!"

"You slaughtered all the servants in Flamel Manor, and still not satisfied, you went to attack the nearby Muggle village!"

"That village had as many as three hundred people! But you, this monster, killed them all! Regardless of age!"

"Ha! Do you know how I learned all this?"

"At that time, the ones who rushed there to seal you away were me and Dumbledore! I should have killed you right then! Hahahahaha!"

Sirius ended his account with another burst of wild laughter.

"No! Don't listen to his nonsense, Link!" Snape said grimly, "Your father was a great man. He didn't want to do those things to you. It was your moth..."

Snape's voice suddenly stopped.

Because he suddenly noticed that Link's state was clearly abnormal.

And indeed, it was so.

In fact, halfway through Sirius's words, Link had already felt a sharp pain coming from his brain, forcing him to clutch his head, his whole body trembling violently.

And with this unbearable pain came a symphony woven from blood and wails, emerging from deep within Link's mind and replaying endlessly before his eyes.

An operating table, pain, cries of surprise, slaughter…

These scenes were like bait drenched in the scent of blood, directly causing Mike, who had been locked away in the depths of his mind by the mental sealing spell, to begin rioting.

"Roar!"

A burst of inhuman howling suddenly erupted from Link's throat.

Immediately after, a massive surge of ominous black mist gushed out, enveloping Link entirely, leaving only those eyes still glowing blood-red in the darkness.

"Link!"

Emily called out with concern.

Yoyo and Arkam were also blasted away by the black mist from Link's body, staring at him nervously.

Not far away, Harry and Lupin were somewhat at a loss, while Sirius was still laughing smugly.

Everyone present had their attention drawn to the abnormal changes happening to Link.

At this moment, the rat Scabbers in Ron's arms suddenly had its eyes light up. It turned its head and bit Ron, taking advantage of Ron's pain and loosened grip to leap away.

In midair, Scabbers' small body rapidly twisted and enlarged, transforming before it landed into a short, filthy, bald man whose appearance and mannerisms greatly resembled a rat, Peter Pettigrew.

At this moment, Peter looked ecstatic. He excitedly waved his mangled hand at Lupin and Sirius, then opened his mouth and bit down hard on several of his other fingers.

"No!"

Sirius struggled madly to break free from Snape's restraint, not bothering with Peter, but instead pulling Harry and Ron tightly into his arms.

He was all too familiar with this opening move of Peter's.

Twelve years ago, the man had used this secret technique, which required severing his own fingers, to trigger a massive explosion.

Its destructive power was so great that it completely destroyed nearly half a block near the battlefield at that time.

Lupin also seized the moment to grab his wand, instantly transforming into a black shadow that swept Harry and the others away.

Snape and the others, however, were not so lucky.

Link's current condition clearly meant he could not be moved casually.

Helpless, Snape could only watch Lupin and the others leave, while he raised a nearly tangible light shield to block in front of Link and Emily.

In the next moment, at the instant Peter's large front teeth sank into his own fingers, a surge of vast magical power exploded violently.

BOOM!

The entire Shrieking Shack was instantly vaporized and disappeared, and the surrounding stretch of wasteland was transformed into half-crystallized scorched earth.

Dust and thick smoke rose into the air, obscuring vision, then was driven away by Snape's wand.

Unfortunately, by the time the smoke cleared, Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black were already gone.

"Ah!"

Snape let out an unwilling roar, but still did not choose to pursue Peter or Sirius.

He gritted his teeth, turned around, and quickly checked Link's condition.

And at this sight, his expression grew even uglier.
