Chapter 33: Chapter 033: Retire after Success
In a corner of the Hufflepuff common room, Cedric was looking at the enthusiastic first-year students not far away with a shocked face.
He couldn't figure out what was wrong with the first-year students this year. Could they really not hear that Kyle was talking nonsense at all? They were so cooperative.
This is Hufflepuff, not Ravenclaw.
Cedric didn't know what others thought. Anyway, if he were admitted to the Hospital Wing, he would definitely not want any class notes or homework.
Especially homework.
Using homework as a gift... Is this something that a normal wizard can think of? Even Voldemort couldn't do such a wicked thing.
Cedric's conscience told him he should expose Kyle and save the innocent Mikel.
But he couldn't do it.
Because, to some extent, Kyle's words could make the Hufflepuff Badgers more serious in class.
This is undoubtedly a good thing.
Cedric struggled for a long time.
He has never experienced such a difficult choice in the past twelve years. On one side is his conscience, and on the other side is his responsibility as a senior. He doesn't want to give up, either, so he can only jump back and forth between the two.
Not far from Cedric is Kanna, who is also confused. She is also the only freshman who can still stay awake.
Unlike Cedric, Kanna's ideas are much simpler.
In any case, stay away from Kyle!
Kanna secretly swore in her heart that after getting the special Mouse Tonic, she must stay away from Kyle. Even if she can't transfer to other Houses, she must try to avoid all possible encounters.
By the way, she had to choose the position furthest away from Kyle when attending classes.
Conversely, the badgers with a strong sense of mission are still discussing the specific plans for the future. Kyle, who has retired after success, quietly squeezed out of the crowd.
Now everyone's attention is on what they are going to do next, and he, a tool man, will naturally not be as popular as before.
Kyle found a sofa away from the crowd and sat down, flipping through the book 'The Bard in the Wind.'
This book was published fifty years ago, telling the story of a wandering bard on his journey and his various troubles.
The style is very similar to Lockhart's work. Still, the difference is that this book only uses a small amount of space to describe the bard himself, and the focus is basically on the things he saw.
It records many spells, which make Kyle feel refreshed.
He read until noon, and when Cedric came to call him to eat, Kyle closed the book with reluctance.
"What are you reading?" Cedric asked curiously, "I called you several times just now and there was no response."
"The Bard in the Wind." Kyle handed the book in his hand to Cedric and said. "Recommended by Headmaster, a very interesting biography."
"Recommended by the Headmaster?"
Cedric's eyes lit up, and he immediately said that he wanted to read it too.
"That's fine, but I've just started reading it, so you have to wait a few days." Kyle thought for a moment and said. "Or you can go to the Library and ask if there are any extra ones."
"No need." Cedric returned the book to Kyle, shook his head, and said. "Just tell me when you've finished reading it, and I'll borrow it."
According to his understanding of the Hogwarts Library, there are rarely two identical biography books, so going there would be a waste of time.
Besides, he was just interested and didn't have to read it now, so it didn't matter if it was a few days earlier or later.
After leaving the Hufflepuff common room, the two soon came to the Great Hall.
After a morning, the news that a Hufflepuff wizard blew up the Charms classroom had already spread throughout Hogwarts.
Almost all the little wizards were discussing this topic with great interest in the Great Hall.
"Hey, look who's here!"
Kyle had just walked into the door of the Great Hall when he was blocked by Fred and George, who had been waiting here early.
"I knew that Hogwarts would not be peaceful with you here, and it turned out to be just as I expected." Fred hooked his arm around Kyle's shoulder and said. "Tell us how you blew up the classroom."
George also said. "Yes, we heard that even Professor Flitwick limped out of the classroom."
"Blow up the Professor in the first class..." Fred and George looked at each other and said in unison. "Kyle, you will definitely be recorded in the school history!"
The twins' voices were loud and soon attracted the attention of other little wizards. More and more people began to come here intentionally or unintentionally.
This made Kyle speechless, and he said helplessly. "First of all, the Wand-Lighting Charm cannot blow up the classroom. This is common sense. Professor Flitwick just accidentally fell and hurt his leg."
"Secondly, the wizard who caused all this is in the Hospital Wing now, and has nothing to do with me. If you slander me again, I will write to Mrs. Weasley."
"Not you?"
The twins were stunned simultaneously, and it was obvious that this result was not what they thought.
"Of course not. Why would you think that?" Kyle pointed to his side and said. "If you don't believe me, you can ask Cedric."
"I can testify that it really wasn't Kyle." Cedric nodded immediately.
"You heard it, didn't you?" Kyle pushed the two away and said. "Where did you get the news? It's too unreliable."
"I heard it from the freshmen in Ravenclaw." Fred shrugged and said. "They said you sent your classmates to the Hospital Wing."
Kyle was even more speechless after hearing this and immediately said. "I went to help, Professor Dumbledore gave me 20 points. By the way, did they say anything else? It's not just this one sentence."
"I don't know." George spread his hands and said as a matter of course. "We heard this sentence when we passed by."
"Fuck..."
Kyle took a deep breath. He didn't want to talk to these two guys anymore.
Initially, he thought that Ravenclaw had a talent for quoting out of context. Still, he didn't expect that the real talents were Fred and George.
When you listen to information, at least listen to the end. You just listening to the end, and it's such an ambiguous ending.
Fortunately, they found him directly and didn't spread the news everywhere. Otherwise, the good reputation he had accumulated with great difficulty would be gone.
Kyle sighed, patted the two on the shoulders, and said. "You are really wasting your talents in Hogwarts. You should go directly to work at the Daily Prophet. Rita Skeeter will love you to death."
