Harem With Venom In Marvel/Dc

Chapter 10: Chapter 10 Superman is dead

Hurry Up, Fool

The sound of ice cracking echoed through the silent space. Manman walked towards the venom, bent down slowly, and picked it up.

"What is this? A parasite that can grant its host immense power?"

Lord Man carefully examined the venom in his hand and sharply realized that the parasite was trying to attach itself to him.

A blue ring flashed briefly, emitting a cold glow. In an instant, the originally soft body of the venom hardened to an extreme degree, encased in a layer of transparent ice.

"It may not be a demon's head, but this is still a fine addition to my collection."

"Give me the venom."

At some point, Chino had appeared beside Manman. His body was trembling from the cold, and with each shudder, tiny ice crystals scattered around him.

If the venom had not injected its self-healing factor into him beforehand, he would have frozen to death in the snow and ice.

"A fair trade?" Lord Man looked at his healed wounds.

"Your ability is no match for mine. All you're doing is prolonging your own suffering."

"That's your problem." Chino cursed angrily and, with desperation in his eyes, charged at Lord Man.

"I don't know what you're trying to do."

A dazzling white light burst forth from Lord Man's ring. The light, sharp like a blade, pierced through Chino's heart in an instant.

Chino's body froze on the spot before he staggered and collapsed onto the ground.

"Fearless, reckless, and ignorant."

Lord Man shook his head in disappointment and prepared to walk past him.

Bang.

A frozen hand gripped Manman's shoe tightly, though the fingers were so stiff they could barely bend.

"Give him back." Chino lay on the ground, his voice weak yet resolute.

"Playing dead won't do you any good." Manman lowered his head, his cold gaze void of any pity.

"Are you disappointed? Have you been fighting unworthy opponents all this time?" Chino, still lying on the ground, answered with an irrelevant question.

"So what?"

"Then… let me find you a suitable opponent."

"Who?"

"The god of the human world."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chino and Lord Man vanished from the scene without warning. All that remained in the middle of the yellow desert was a deep blue mark.

Suddenly, a man and a woman appeared.

"I told you… Are you really fine deceiving yourself like this?"

"This is not a trap, just a minor flaw in the plan. But it's fine. Manman's appearance proves that this world is not safe. Otherwise, given his personality, it would have taken him years to reach DC."

"You are not the same as before. If Iron Man hadn't died, if the strange world war hadn't started, you would still be yearning for death."

"Heh, don't blame yourself. This is my poison after all."

DC - LUX BAR

Suddenly, two figures appeared inside a bar. Though it was already daytime, the bar was empty, with only the owner and a single waiter present.

The bar had a retro style. The wooden tables and chairs carried the marks of time, and the old photos on the walls seemed to whisper stories of the past.

The bar owner raised an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of the two strangers. He reached out a hand to stop the woman beside him from stepping forward.

"I really underestimated you. So you can move through space as well?" Manman observed his changing surroundings, surprise flashing in his eyes. This ability was indeed rare.

Everything around him was entirely different from before. The dim lighting and vintage decor gave him a fresh feeling.

Chino stood up, finally escaping the freezing environment. The terrifying hole in his chest slowly began to heal.

"So, who exactly are the gods of the human world? Those two humans over there?"

Lord Man glanced at the bar owner and the waitress with a disdainful look.

"Of course. Boss, I apologize for borrowing your territory for a fight. I'll pay to rebuild it later."

Chino relaxed after arriving in this world.

"That won't be necessary."

The bar owner smiled. His smile was filled with the charm of a mature man, and his voice was deep and captivating, especially in the quiet atmosphere of the bar.

"Clark, I have information about the last Kryptonian city. Come and help me."

Chino's voice rang through the empty bar.

After a second, he waited, understanding that receiving information takes time.

After three seconds, he expected a response to be on its way.

After five seconds, Chino finally lost his patience. His brows furrowed as a sense of unease rose in his heart.

Damn it. What's going on?

With Superman's speed, there was no way he wouldn't have arrived the moment he heard this news.

Superman did not appear.

Lord Man's eyes grew colder and colder, as if the air around him was freezing over.

"Is this the Clark you're looking for?"

The bar owner handed him a newspaper. Chino took it, his face darkening as he read the headline.

"Superman Saves the World, City Mourns His Loss."

It happened just a year ago.

"Damn it! This timing is the worst!"

Chino cursed under his breath, his expression filled with despair and helplessness.

If Superman were still alive, anyone could have called him sooner or later. But now, he was gone, stuck in a limbo between life and death.

"Aah, the god of this world is dead. Is this my fate? Fate is cruel. It always lands an uppercut when you least expect it."

Chino let out a weary sigh. He truly had no other options left.

Venom had fallen into the enemy's hands. His ability to travel worlds was useless. Superman was dead. He had no more tricks to play.

"Hahaha. Is there anything I can help you with, Chino?"

The bar owner nodded in agreement, though a complicated look flickered in his eyes.

"Go to Bruce Wayne. Tell him what's happening here. I'm sorry for causing trouble in your world."

Chino didn't even notice that he had never once mentioned his own name.

"What about you?"

"I probably can't leave this place… and I might not be able to pay for the damage either."

As the two humans ignored him, Lord Man's eyes turned colder.

"It seems you cannot be called the god of this world. So, I will have you pay with your life instead."

Lord Man raised his fist, this time holding back nothing. His eyes were filled with killing intent.

"Boss, take your employee and run. At best, I'll hold him back for a while."

Chino rushed forward. With no way out, he might as well fight.

Manman's ring flashed like a blinding light, illuminating the dim bar. The intensity of the light was so strong that it was impossible to keep one's eyes open.

Chino shut his eyes, aiming for where he remembered the enemy was, and struck with all his might.

Did I land a hit?

Am I still alive?

When he opened his eyes, he saw that Manman hadn't reacted at all. His body remained motionless.

Chino's fist had landed on Manman's face. Manman's face distorted slightly, but he didn't counterattack. Instead, he simply retracted his hand.

"Time… has stopped?"
