Hardcore Priest

Chapter 1: Diary

"Arghh my head…"

The young man with black-colored, tousled wolf-cut hair was holding onto his head. He was suffering an excruciating headache. It felt like his head was going to explode.

"Where am I? I remembered I was in the classroom and suddenly fell asleep."

He looked around the room he was in right now. He noticed what seemed to be a diary book on the table.

Without any other clues he can find in the room. He then goes on to read the dairy book.

Dear Diary,

Tomorrow is the day for The Ritual of Resonance, but I don't think I have the time to make it. I think I might be targeted by someone within the church. Luckily, I was able to obtain a relic from the black market, but sadly, I had no idea what its use was.

"What…?"

The young man can recognize every word written in the diary. But he couldn't understand the meaning of every word.

The Ritual of Resonance? Relic?

He was still able to guess one thing from this dairy. That is, the owner seems to be targeted by someone and gets killed in the end.

In the room, there's no one other than him. Thus, he boldly guesses the diary owner was him.

"Did I somehow possess the dairy owner's body…."

Even though this might seem like it in this kind of situation, he still felt somewhat unbelievable.

He tried to pinch himself, and he felt a pain.

"So all those fantasy novels about transmigration are real?"

After finally accepting this reality thoroughly, he continues to read the diary.

Although there is no information or instructions on how to use the relic, I can feel a holy energy from it. The relic was a gold crucifix necklace. All I could decipher was a protection necklace. I can only put my life on this relic to protect me.

When he read until this part, his eye-corner noticed a crucifix necklace that matched the description in the diary.

"Is this the relic mentioned in the diary?"

He grabbed the necklace and examined it. He looked at it thoroughly from left to right and up to down. But he doesn't notice anything special about this necklace.

"Isn't this just a normal necklace? Is this owner so superstitious that he believes this necklace can protect him from danger?"

Suddenly, something occurs to him.

Wait, if someone is trying to kill this body owner and now I'm the one possessing it….Does that make me the target?

And since I was able to possess this body with this logic, did the killer successfully kill the owner? Thus, I am allowed to possess this empty body. But if that is the case, the next time the killer sees this body still walking, he might get suspicious.

"Arghh my head starting to hurt again…" he muttered.

Finding out he was in this predicament situation annoyed him. He couldn't think about how he was going to deal with it. Thus, all he could do was continue to read the diary.

In the end, if things don't work out and others have found this diary, it means I'm dead. And I want you to know this is a murder. I hope things won't end up as I predicted.

By. Michael Rivera

With the ending signature on the diary, he finally found out the name of this body.

"I guess I'll be using the identity of Michael Rivera from today onward."

But after reading the diary, he still couldn't find a solution to his problem. And the murderer's identity is still unknown.

He looked at the crucifix necklace, then he went on grabbed it, and wore it on. He doesn't believe the necklace could do as much as protect him from being killed, but wearing it might be able to act as a blessing.

He flipped back to the old pages of the diary to see whether he could find any clues related to the murderer.

After a few hours of reading, he couldn't find anything useful. The only information he could see was that this body he possessed was supposed to be a priest. He also found some information about his personal life, but nothing helpful in finding the murderer.

However, the information he could gather from the diary allows him to learn more about this body's past. Therefore, he won't be acting suspiciously the next time he happens to meet anyone who knows this body.

Just when I found out I was transmigrated into another person's body, there were more and more problems coming out…..

He then stood up from the desk and walked into the bathroom. He was heading for the mirror to have a look at himself.

He has a great look at his new appearance.

"Indeed, this face is not my face. The only similarity I had with this body is that our name is also Michael and we both are still a teenager." He muttered.

He slowly walked out of the bathroom. He's thinking about what the next step he should take is regarding his current situation.

Right now, the situation is that the murderer didn't know I was still alive—or should I say this body is still alive? He might still be hidden in the shadows, but I do have the advantage of the element of surprise. The book mentioned tomorrow had this activity called 'The Ritual of Resonance.' If I went, I might catch the murderer's surprise. This is the only way I could think of thus far.

After having a plan, he looks at the clock on the wall.

"It's already 11 o'clock I guess I should head to sleep now."

While looking at the time, he also notices the priest's uniform hanging on the wall.

"Out of all career paths, I couldn't believe one day I would become a priest." He murmured in a sarcastic tone.

All the thinking was hurting his brain. Lying on the bed, he finally relaxed his head.

'The Ritual of Resonance', I wonder what kind of activity they will do. Do we praise the Lord all day? Now that I think of it, I didn't know anything about Christianity or what they usually do. All I know is that they pray to God. And the word 'ritual' made this activity sound very ominous….

Slowly, as he thought about it, his eyes started to close. His thoughts began to drift away, and he fell asleep.

 "ZzzzzZzzz….."
