Chapter 4: Notice: Story Direction

Hello to all that have decided to follow this story!

I've been mulling over what to do with the direction of this story. Looking back on the chapters that I've posted, while somewhat entertaining, it didn't really connect all that well to me when i reread the whole thing, I wrote it based on fleeting inspiration with little to no planning on the direction of the story and basing it on the direction of the source material.

I want to take this story a little bit more seriously as I'm having fun with writing the contents of this fanfiction.

So, I've come to the conclusion that I should rewrite the story to better fit the pacing that I have in mind with the new system I've come up with.

One that will be somewhat based on the one from the original one, this is because I dislike numbers as they make it harder and become somewhat meaningless as the story progresses.

In addition, I've restarted playing cyber-sleuth and it inspired me on how to improve on the system use.

Now, here's what I want to know from you all that decided to read this story. The chapter length and update frequency, I want know what you all want in terms of chapter pacing.

Here are the options that I can see myself doing. Comment which one you want, I'll wait until 5th march 9am UTC to tally the results.

1. 1-1.5k words per chapter. Pros: this is easier for me to manage depending on my inspiration, energy, and willingness to write. More frequent updates. faster pacing. Fights will have their own chapters. higher chances of a double chapter upload. I can add more perspectives without it feeling too awkward about the next chapter.

cons: some scenes might feel awkward to end off without the next chapter, chapter contents will be cut off for the next chapter if I feel like it better fits in the next one.

2. 2-2.5k words per chapter. Pros: Longer chapter for y'all to read, more content/yapping that I can put in for each chapter, Longer fight scenes, Less chapter cuts, Higher quality.

Cons: more waiting as I will take longer to plan each chapter for better pacing. Harder for me to write about as I can perhaps average about 200-500 words per day if I'm not busy with IRL stuff.

Anyways, I hope you all have a good day as I early await your decision on this story's direction.

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
