Gravity Falls: The One That Has To Fix The Timeline

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: King of Minds

Crunch

Crunch

Crunch

The sound of brittle, rotted-out twigs snapping, followed by frantic steps, rang out loudly. With each step, a twig broke as Dale sprinted past tree after tree, his heart racing. He had been running for several minutes through the dense forest. Unfortunately for Dale, when time froze, he quickly discovered that he couldn't walk more than five feet from his original location.

Any attempt to do so would result in slamming into an invisible wall, similar to the barrier trapping Dale inside Gravity Falls. " There. Finally. " Mumbled Dale, his eyes drifting up, locking onto the mystery shack sign shining through a gap in the tree leaves.

Instantly, Dale slammed his lead leg into the ground, scraping dirt across his shoe as his mind raced with- "AHH!"

" W-What are you doing here? " Said Dipper standing in front of three pieces of chopped firewood. Tightly holding the fire axe in the air, until suddenly the weight of the axe pulled his body down and he began to stumble to the side before tripping over the cut wood and dropping awkwardly on the ground with a thud.

An odd stillness swallowed the air, as Dale stared down at him. His brain sprinting with thoughts, Dale didn't know how to ask Dipper, to let him into Stan's mind. Whether it was asking him directly to let him into it or asking to see his journal to do the spell himself. Either way would be way too fishy.

Truthfully, Dale never wanted to encounter Dipper and planned on stealing his journal just to use the spell, but obviously, that plan was no longer possible. " Let me borrow that journal. " As soon as Dale said this, Dipper's nervous face vanished, as he quickly stood up.

" I knew it. You do know about this journal. I've been telling people about the weird stuff happening in this town, and yet no one seems to believe me." Said Dipper, with a grin appearing on his face until abruptly his eyes widened and he spoke worriedly. " But, why do you want it? "

" It's important. Just let me see it. I'm not going to take it. Because after this hopefully, I won't need it ever again. " Responded Dale, Dipper grew quiet for several seconds, pondering. Before the smirk on his face reappeared as he spoke.

" If I let you borrow it. You have to tell me everything you know about this journal...Deal? " Dipper slowly reached up extending his hand out to do a handshake. Dale exhaled slightly annoyed as he inched his right hand closer to closer. Locking eyes with Dipper...And that's when Dale felt it.

A freezing shiver swooped down his spine. Colder than anything the darkest spots of space could ever offer. In a flash, Dale shot his hand away from Dale, stumbling back with sweat on his face. His heart beating even faster than when he was running.

" Y-You almost got me. " Mumbled Dale staring down at Dipper, whose face morphed into confusion as he shrugged his shoulders and spoke. " What's wrong with a simple handshake? "... " Just a confirmation of deals. "... " Hello? "... "Ah. You're going to be a pain in the ass aren't you flaky. "

In a single motion, Dipper's body began to contort and twist oddly, before a yellow triangle materialized from thin air, floating above Dale. The once-moving time froze, as Bill Cipher began to chuckle.

" Well? What are you doing at the mystery shack, Flaky? To stop me from entering Stan's mind? "

" Obviously, If you struck a deal with Gideon. I'm sure it has to be about Stan and from the stories I have heard you are the King Of Minds, aren't you? " Bill rolled his singular eye from this comment, as his body abruptly vanished reappearing, directly next to Dale putting his elbow on his left shoulder.

" I get it now. You are quite the wise guy, Flaky. But just a warning the last guy, that tried to outsmart me...Let's say disappeared, but for being so smart you do have one thing wrong about me. When I'm inside someone's mind, I'm not a king. I'M A ᧁ△ժׁׅ݊ "

As soon as Bill said this his body vanished reappearing several feet above Dale. "Dipper is in the attic to make things easier for you Flaky. Also, that comment about me being god also applies to your world. But this is goodbye, don't miss me too much Flaky-

WARP

In an instant, Bill Cipher's body vanished and time once again started to move, leaving Dale staring up into the sky, watching the clouds flow beautifully with a single bead of sweat dripping down his chin, but before the bead could drip off his chin, violently Dale snapped his head towards the mystery shack and sprinted towards it, rushing up the steps and crashing through the door with his shoulder.

The door nearly came off its hinges, as he came to a sliding stop, in the middle of the living room standing directly in front of Grunkle Stan, who was peacefully napping in his chair. Dale could only stare at Stan before the sound of hurried steps echoed from the attic, and Dipper appeared on top of the stairs, staring at Dale, in shock.

The two locked eyes, as Dipper mumbled " W-What do you want. "

" I need that journal you have. " Said Dale bluntly, Instantly Dipper's eyes widened as his hands began to tremble, as he started to speak.

" Wait you know about the-

*DING*

Before Dipper could finish speaking the door chime rang, Dale quickly looked over towards the door as a young voice spoke.

" Hey Dipper! What happened to the door... "

" What's wrong Mabel? Oh. Who are you? " Said Soos standing behind Mabel with a slightly confused look on his face.

" The name is Dale. I need Dipper's journal. " Responded Dale, as Dipper started to walk down the stairs, slowly approaching Dale while he spoke.

" Well, why do you need it? "

" I need to get into his mind. " Dale said while pointing at Grunkle Stan with his thumb. " And I don't want to learn anything. Truthfully, I'm doing this to stop Gideon. "....
