Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire

Chapter 342: Born Rebellious, Defiant Demigod (Part 2)

"Hmm, there's nothing much going on here; I just came to see you. No need to make such a fuss, let them all leave."

Noah stared at Parvati for a while, then instructed.

"Yes, uncle-grandfather."

Parvati responded respectfully and then dispersed the High Elves present, amidst the not-so-pleasant expressions of many elves, while Noah's figure began to change.

This is a nation led by elves, although there are places prepared for the activities of giant creatures, it is evident that these places are not suitable for him.

"Speaking of which, this is my first visit to Central Earth, and it's somewhat unfamiliar. Do you have time to guide me around?"

With a smile, Noah glanced at his grandniece, and Parvati perceived some information from Noah's demeanor and immediately replied.

"It's my honor!"

Thus, amidst increasingly displeased expressions of many High Elves, Noah, accompanied by their regent, visited their ancestral court extensively and toured the Tree of Life, which ordinary elves were not allowed to approach. He spared no effort to visit places that could produce valuable resources.

The more he toured, the more excited Noah became, especially leading Parvati to actively seek out High Elves for conversation, asking what they did, caring about their professions and personal hobbies.

With Parvati supporting him, even though the High Elves did not have a favorable impression of Noah, they had to maintain the dignity and elegance expected of High Elves, keeping their posture while conversing with Noah.

However, what Noah found most amusing was that compared to the rejection and hinted hostility from the High Elves, the lower and middle elves showed a sort of reverent surprise at his arrival and concern, grateful beyond words for Noah's friendly demeanor.

They were completely unaware of the filth within the upper tiers. In their consciousness, the figure before them was an Oriental Holy Dragon requiring the regent's personal accompaniment, one of the most noble beings upon this continent.

Such a presence, upon arriving at Sainfeiren, actually cared for them just as he did for the High Elves, asking about their work and lives, inquiring about their interests and hobbies.

To Noah, these actions were merely the basic duties of a ruler, yet among the mid-to-lower-tier elves in the Elf Court, they created a huge ripple, even though there were no explicit numerical indicators, Noah could feel his prestige and fame swelling among this vast group, their favor flooding.

Because their kin with more noble bloodlines, the High Elves, never treated them in such a way. Not to mention caring about their daily lives, even notifying them to retreat together on the battlefield would be considered excellent performance; at worst, they would disregard their lives, seeking only to acquire a bit more military merit.

This comparison made middle and lower elves see Noah's demeanor as something profoundly appealing; failing to appreciate him would be akin to encountering the undead. Moreover, Parvati, always seen as the hope and light of justice among low-tier elves, accompanied him throughout, further increasing their favor towards Noah.

Noah wandered around Sainfeiren for quite a while, indeed resembling one casually strolling due to boredom. During this period, his exchanges with Parvati were merely small talk, with no mention of any secrets.

"Where do you live? Let me see what the accommodations are for a regent so mighty as yourself."

"Uncle-grandfather, you jest."

Upon hearing Noah's tease, Parvati responded with a courteous smile but was tactful enough to lead Noah to her residence.

"This whole tree is yours?"

Noah looked up at the towering tree before him, towering into the clouds, then toward his grandniece. This was a Tree of Life. But unlike other Trees of Life, all the tree houses or rather Natural Palaces on this Tree of Life were of uniform specifications.

"This is the reward given by Her Majesty the Queen."

Parvati said calmly.

"You have an entire Tree of Life to yourself? Is that the same treatment the Queen receives?"

"Her Majesty the Queen still requires royal protection."

"Tsk!"

Noah felt that even describing Parvati's status in the Elf Court as 'mighty' seemed insufficient. This treatment, which even the Queen didn't receive, couldn't simply be labeled as arrogance.

"Take me up there to see."

"Uncle-grandfather, this way please."

Ascending to the top of the canopy, Noah saw the wooden hall constructed at the peak. From here, one could overlook most of Sainfeiren, with the majority of the Elf Capital's scenery in full view.

"How's the privacy here?"

"What do you mean, uncle-grandfather?"

"I came today mainly to talk to you about some family issues."

Noah turned back to look at the girl before him, whose eyebrows carried a faint smile, emitting an indescribable charm and beauty from divine lineage,

"Are you convenient right now?"

"Uncle-grandfather, please wait a moment."

Upon hearing Noah's inquiry, Parvati paused momentarily, then entered the palace built at the treetop, and when she reappeared, she had changed into a green dress, though her appearance remained unchanged, her aura drastically shifted.

The girl previously resembled a holy image enshrined in a temple, carrying a subtle chilling and distant purity, lofty and unfathomable, with an aura of inviolable solemnity and sanctity.

Now, Parvati seemed as though she had stepped out of the temple, becoming more lively and animated, gaining flesh and blood, with a vibrant vitality, resembling a girl playing with deer in the woods.

"Nature's favor? You've gained the recognition of this land?"

Seeing the girl appear once more before him, Noah's eyes revealed surprise, and then his smile began to transform, becoming bold and unrestrained,

"Hahaha, excellent, indeed worthy of the Augustus family bloodline, you certainly haven't let me down."

"This has nothing to do with whether or not I possess Augustus family bloodline; this is my personal free will. Even divine beings shall not alter my fate or interfere with my choices."

The girl's expression and tone were noticeably different; she seemed to have shed a layer of disguise, revealing her true self.

Born with the blessing of the Seven Gods, the girl was destined to be an existence standing atop the Material Realm, yet she was also destined to be a puppet without much personal will of her own.

It was precisely for this reason that Uranos was exposed due to the birth of this daughter, and when considering royal succession, Parvati wasn't even considered by him, as though the girl was nonexistent.

Even Noah's precaution against his grandniece was more about vigilance than concern, especially since the Elf God System had invested in her, though not extensively, the divine attention upon her was substantial, making it difficult not to guard against her.

But now, Noah saw this natural demigod attempting to break the inherent chains within herself, no, it shouldn't be called breaking, rather she was adding more chains onto herself.

Receiving Nature's favor, for most transcendent beings, is certainly deemed a good thing, because under Nature's favor, the so-called racial shackles and bloodline chains shall cease to exist.

Just like the great green snake from the Cloud Sea Secret Realm, even if faced against Noah himself, it possesses the strength to fight, and not only due to the peculiarity of its natural spirit, but Noah desires to maintain a harmonious and friendly relationship with it.

However, with benefits naturally come drawbacks. Becoming a natural spirit means bearing the responsibility to protect a domain. If there are no exceptions, basically, one cannot leave at will.

Thus, for beings like Noah, he wouldn't consider becoming a natural spirit. However, it's different for his grandniece; she already has enough restraints upon her, she doesn't mind a few more layers and amidst such conflicting opposition, she can obtain limited freedom.
