Chapter 302: Shocking, My Kid Is Actually a Trash Dragon_2
He was well aware of the gap between himself and his son, and he didn't feel he had the right, as a father, to interfere in his son's affairs.
"No, I have no interest in a human Legend. Only Erwin, upon becoming king, qualifies to be my vassal."
Noah replied.
Hearing such an arrogant response, Angelis exchanged a glance with his wife, Orsya, sharing a helpless smile. At this point, they no longer knew what to say.
"How do you plan to deal with the Beastman Alliance? You've slaughtered their legions, and both that Demigod Beastman King and the Ascender High Priest will notice your presence."
As a mother, Orsya was more concerned about her offspring's safety. Since Noah planned to take Grudia as his vassal state, it meant he would face the beastmen on their behalf.
Yet the strength of the Beastman Tribe Alliance was something even this mature dragon couple could sense. It was a force that would make them feel despair; even summoning several Ancient Dragons might not solve it.
"I also want to meet them. To be honest, I've never seen a true Demigod or Ascender until now. I hadn't expected the beastmen of this plane to develop to such an extent."
Noah showed no fear; rather, he seemed quite eager.
"Noah, I know you have become an Ancestor Dragon, and your power exceeds our expectations. But whether it's a Demigod or an Ascender, they already have the strength to challenge the Divine, and you're still too young."
"I understand, Mother. I just want to meet them. I also hope to negotiate relatively peacefully, at least to preserve Grudia's territory. I wouldn't want my newly accepted vassal to be destroyed by the beastmen overnight."
In the face of his parents' concerns, Noah was quite confident.
However, for the current Golden Dragons, the understanding of Ancestor Dragons was too limited. But the existence of Demigods and Ascenders was not unfamiliar. These were beings that stood at the pinnacle of the Material Realm. Even if the Divine descended as Saint incarnations, they would be on high alert against such beings.
Therefore, faced with his parents who started to ramble somewhat, Noah chose to change the subject. Although his way of diverting attention was rather clumsy, it immediately captured the attention of the two mature Golden Dragons.
"By the way, you guys don't know yet, but you are already grandparents."
"You have children?"
The Metallic Dragon Race highly values bloodline inheritance, so even though Noah's method of changing the topic was crude, it worked.
"Yes, I currently have two offspring."
"Two? Impressive, your mother and I only have you as one offspring. We were planning on whether to give you a brother or sister, but since you have two offspring, we don't need to prepare."
Knowing they had ascended in their generation and become grandparents, both Angelis and Orsya were extremely happy, especially the Dragon Father, whose joy was overflowing.
This is also one of the contradictions of the Metallic Dragon Race; they desire offspring but focus intensely on nurturing them, so the Metallic Dragon Race is often hesitant to breed too many offspring.
Selective breeding is a long-held tradition of the Metallic Dragon Race. Although this has led to their numbers falling far behind the randomly bred and freely raised Colorful Dragons, it has ensured their adulthood rate. At the high-end power level, the Metallic Dragon Race is by no means weaker than the Colorful Dragon Clan.
"Uh, I only have one offspring from the Pure-blood Dragon Clan, and the other is of mixed blood."
Seeing his parents so excited, Noah was happy too, but he also needed to be honest about certain things. Normally, a pair of Golden Dragon couples would at least produce two Golden Dragon descendants.
"One pure-blood, one mixed-blood, so that means you have two partners?"
Originally smiling with joy, Orsya's expression turned serious.
"Actually, I currently have four partners; only two have borne my offspring."
"Four? Impressive!"
Dragon Father Angelis couldn't help but exclaim, but when the Dragon Mother, who appeared dignified and gentle, cast a glance at him, this pale, refined young man very wisely closed his mouth.
"Noah, you're not young anymore, and choosing partners is your private affair, so I won't interfere. However, as a mother, I want to inquire about the races and statuses of these partners."
Orsya emphasized the word 'race' with particular stress.
While dragons have no reproductive barriers with any species, and it is primarily the Colorful Dragons who contribute greatly to the prosperity of species across the Material Realm by crossing racial boundaries, the Metallic Dragon Race is relatively more conservative.
The most conservative, adhering to monogamy, are the Bronze Dragon Clan, while the most open are naturally the Silver Dragons, who enjoy mingling in human-like civilizations. The Golden Dragons are somewhere in between.
But even so, Noah having four partners made him somewhat conspicuous within the Golden Dragon Clan because the vast majority of Golden Dragons still follow monogamy. A few may have multiple partners, but during the same period, they typically have only one partner, not several at once.
"My first partner is a Silver Dragon; she is a very gentle dragon..."
"A Silver Dragon!"
The couple exchanged a look, both shaking their heads.
"What's wrong?"
"Golden Dragons and Silver Dragons are not very suitable as partners. Although it's not absolute, because of their attributes restraining each other, the probability of laying dragon eggs is very low."
Orsya explained.
"I see, that explains it."
Noah nodded with a sudden realization, then briefly introduced the Silver Dragon before mentioning his second partner,
"Ophelia, from Heaven, a Six-winged Archangel. She is a descendant of the Blazing Sky God and also the mother of my eldest son..."
"Wait? Are you talking about Her Highness Ophelia of Dawn Light, the Dawn's Protector?"
Dragon Mother Orsya interrupted her son's narrative again, her refined and dignified face revealing a look of shock, exchanging a glance of surprise with her husband,
"In Heaven, the only Archangel Leader that matches Noah's description is Her Highness."
Angelis lowered his head, stared at his toes for a moment, then looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh. For a moment, he didn't know what to say.
"Dawn Light? That's her title? She never mentioned it, but it sounds pretty good; it even matches my title."
"What title do you have?"
In his emotionally complex state, Angelis couldn't resist asking.
"I'm known as the Holy Dragon; you should be aware of this title, and I have many others, but the one I favor most is Golden Sun."
"You even dare to claim such a title!"
"Why wouldn't I? Don't I deserve it?"
Noah replied indifferently.
"This is not about titles, but rather our grandson and Her Highness Ophelia!"
Orsya reminded her husband.
"Oh, right, Her Highness Ophelia. Do you know the status of this noble entity?"
With a hint of gossip and curiosity hidden in his eyes, Angelis quickly exposed himself,
"Kid, how did you establish a partnership with her? Do you know what status she holds in Heaven?"
"I know, so what? I've already met her father."
Noah recalled the time he was severely educated with a beating; although it was highly beneficial, it was also the heaviest beating he'd ever received since birth.
"You've even met him? Did His Majesty have any objections toward you?"
"A bit, but it seemed he didn't care much."
Noah reflected for a moment, sounding somewhat uncertain, but after that incident, that Blazing Sky Old Deng really hadn't troubled him anymore, perhaps recognizing him.
After all, even if that Old Deng wandered the world with a sword, he might not find such an excellent dragon son-in-law like him. Might as well secretly rejoice at his good fortune.
"You know everything? Then do you know Her Highness Ophelia's age?"
"I haven't asked, but she shouldn't be that old."
As a Longevity Species, Noah didn't care about age at all.
"Not truly old. When your mother and I entered the youth phase, because of an accidental opportunity to enter Heaven, we already heard of Her Highness's famed name. At that time, she was already a Six-winged Archangel Leader."
