Chapter 304(Inspiration Capsule Extra Chapter)

Solus Vernal flicked his fingers, and a black token wrapped in cold light drew a perfect arc through the air, landing steadily in the hands of the third elder, Seth Vernal.

"This token," Solus Vernal said, his voice carrying the pressure of a ruler who had once commanded nations, "can mobilize any one of the four guardians in our clan. Use it wisely."

Seth Vernal bowed deeply. "Yes, Clan leader."

He said nothing more. Turning around with crisp decisiveness, he strode out of the hall without even a backward glance.

His steps were steady, but the excitement burning within him was impossible to hide.

Solus Vernal didn't watch him leave. Instead, he walked toward the great doors of the clan hall. With his hands clasped behind his back, he stood before the towering entrance and looked out at the deep night sky.

Moonlight stretched across the courtyard like a cold blade.

His fingers curled slowly into a fist.

"No matter who killed my Bram," he whispered, his voice filled with thunderous hatred, "I will pay with your blood."

Ethan opened his eyes.

A brilliant light flashed within them—sharp, steady, and filled with the pressure of a rising emperor.

"The Nine Emperor Dao Body truly deserves its reputation," he murmured inwardly.

"A technique created by a Great Emperor… even suppressed by that black chain, the rate of improvement is still astonishing."

In the past several days of secluded cultivation, the faint outline of the Emperor Star within his dantian had grown clearer, its radiance becoming more stable.

Though progress was subtle, the power it brought was real.

His physical strength surged.

His Original Pill grew more condensed.

His Dharma Body refined itself further.

Every aspect of his foundation had strengthened.

"Heavenly Lake…" Ethan muttered, his anticipation growing deeper and deeper.

"Once I reach it, the progress should be even greater."

He exhaled slowly, letting his spirit settle. Then he rose from his seat.

Today was the once-every-fifty-years Treasure Appraisal Conference held by the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. Rumors said the finale item this time was a treasure of incomparable rarity.

He absolutely would not miss it.

Ethan called Solara and led her downstairs.

The Blood Tavern was already lively. Almost all members were gathered, eleven core figures in Skyreach Territory.

Besides them, there was also Zeon, the genius from the Verdant Lantern Empire, known for traveling the world to gain experience.

"Brother Ethan," Zeon grinned the moment he saw him. "Haven't seen you for a few days and you've gotten stronger again."

"Thanks to Brother Zeon." Ethan cupped his hands with a calm smile.

"Thanks to me?" Zeon rolled his eyes theatrically, walked over, and slung an arm around Ethan's shoulder.

"What? Are my goods useful?"

"Naturally easy to use and affordable."

"That's what I like to hear! If you ever need anything else, just tell me." Zeon smirked.

"Speaking of which, shouldn't you introduce me to more clients?"

Ethan let out a helpless sigh. "I don't have many friends… the ones I trust are all here."

Zeon clicked his tongue. "A lone wolf type, huh? Fine, fine—as long as you keep giving me business, we're good."

He grinned proudly. "I, Zeon, enjoy dealing with geniuses like Brother Ethan."

Ethan laughed softly. "After the treasure appraisal conference, I'll treat you to a drink."

"Drink? Perfect! One of my favorite things. I'm not going home until I'm drunk!"

Before Ethan could answer, a faint, melodic female voice drifted over. "Good brother, don't forget your promise to drink with me before."

Rain gave Ethan a subtle look as she approached.

Zeon immediately narrowed his eyes at Ethan. "Oh~? Brother Ethan, you guy…"

"Enough."

Magnus's deep voice cut through the conversation.

He sat by the window, lowering his teacup as he looked at Ethan.

"Enough chatter. Ethan… has the time come for our battle?"

Zeon snorted. "Big guy, you couldn't even beat me. You think you can challenge Brother Ethan? When he was only in the Dharma Body Realm, he defeated an eighth-turn Mahayana! Now he's in Nirvana Realm, invincible under the Supreme Realm!" Zeon shrugged.

"You? Challenging him? Aren't you embarrassed?"

His words were blunt, but his tone wasn't mocking, Zeon simply spoke without thinking.

Magnus's expression darkened. A fierce aura burst from him.

"Ninth-turn Mahayana!"

Everyone felt the oppressive force and looked shocked.

Zeon curled his lip. "(ˉ▽ ̄~)~~ It's still just Mahayana. You're not my match."

Magnus's grip on his teacup tightened.

Crack!

The cup exploded into powder.

All he could do was accept his defeat to Zeon. Even if Zeon's methods were unreasonable—formations, spiritual tools, puppets—Magnus would never use excuses.

He lost. That was that.

"Don't be impatient, big guy," Zeon waved dismissively. "Even if you challenge Ethan, you'll just get hung up and beaten."

Magnus remained silent for a long moment… then replaced his teacup and muttered, "I'll only know the result after the fight."

"Alright, alright," Rain interjected. "Stop bickering. Today is the Treasure Appraisal Conference. Is everyone ready?"

"Of course I am!" Zeon puffed out his chest. "The finale treasure today, I, Zeon, will definitely take it!"

"Oh?" Magnus raised a brow. "You know what the treasure is?"

"No idea! But whatever it is, I'll buy it directly! I might lack many things — but money isn't one of them!"

He then turned to Solara and brightened. "Right, I nearly forgot. Solara, come here—uncle's promised gift."

Zeon knelt down with a grin and pulled out a glowing safety pendant.

"Thank you, Uncle Zeon." Solara accepted it happily.

"This pendant is not simple," Zeon said proudly. "It'll keep you safe."

Ethan watched quietly, secretly activating his Heaven-piercing Mind Eyes.

A powerful force was sealed inside the pendant—one that could resist even a high-level Mahayana attack.

"Brother Zeon, isn't this too valuable?" Ethan asked.

"It's a gift for a child. Value doesn't matter. Let her be happy." Zeon ruffled Solara's red hair.

Rain smiled faintly. She, too, had received rare gifts from Zeon before.

"By the way," Rain suddenly said, "our Blood Tavern released a new bounty mission today. Take a look."

She flicked her wrist, and a silver bounty order floated into the air.

Silver light spread out — forming a line of glowing words before everyone's eyes.
