Chapter 303(Inspiration Capsule Extra Chapter)

He frowned, the gloom on his face becoming thicker and heavier, like storm clouds gathering before a world-shaking tempest.

A majestic killing intent appeared, bursting out of the man.

Everyone could see it clearly.

The previous emperor of Vernal Dawn—now the clan leader of the Vernal clan—was angry.

And the anger of a Supreme Realm cultivator… was not something the heavens or earth could endure casually. Even mountains would crack. Even the sky would tremble.

Who could possibly bear such fury?

Everyone standing inside the grand main hall of the Vernal clan instantly fell silent.

No one dared to breathe too loudly, let alone speak.

They kept their heads lowered, waiting for the patriarch's decision with trembling hearts.

Solus Vernal, once the mighty emperor of the Vernal Dawn Dynasty, now led the entire Vernal clan.

His prestige towered over millions.

Even if he lost a son, even if rage surged deep within his bones, he would not explode recklessly. His temperament was not that of a reckless brute, he was a ruler forged through endless storms.

He forced down his fury, suppressing the wild turbulence in his chest.

In an instant, that terrifying killing intent—enough to pierce through mountains—vanished without a trace, like a sword re-sheathed after cutting the sky.

Just then.....

The sound of hurried footsteps echoed again.

Another guard from the Vernal clan rushed into the hall, knelt instantly on one knee, and raised a black envelope outlined with gold edges.

Solus's sharp gaze lowered.

"What is it?" he asked voice cold as ice.

"Clan leader, a letter from Blackspire Mountain… sent by the Heavenly Demon Sect."

"The Blackspire?"

The moment those words entered the hall, every expression changed.

Murmurs burst everywhere.

"Heavenly Demon Sect?"

"The black-gold envelope… that's a demon letter!"

"Why would the leader of the Blackspire Demon Clan send us a letter?"

Shock. Confusion. Unease.

Many in the hall exchanged glances. Demon clan matters were never simple.

Solus Vernal frowned slightly as he looked at the envelope. With a wave of his palm, the delicate black-gold letter floated obediently into his grasp.

He broke the seal, opened it, and read the contents carefully.

His eyes narrowed.

Then—

A surge of purple flame ignited in his palm, reducing the envelope to ashes.

A white-haired elder stepped forward. His tone was steady, but there was tension hidden underneath.

"Patriarch, may we inquire… why did the Demon Sect send us a letter?"

Solus set his hand behind his back and spoke evenly.

"The Supreme Demon wishes to cooperate with us… and conspire within the Skyreach Territory."

The hall erupted again.

"What? Cooperate?"

"To conspire in Skyreach Territory?"

"What are the demons plotting?"

Skyreach Territory, the land of countless sects, ancient clans, and the sacred Holy Land of Thousand Mountains was no playground. Whoever controlled it would rule a vast region of incomparable importance.

Many elders began whispering among themselves.

"Holy Land of Endless Mountains hold the Skyreach Territory. Unless that holy land falls, no one can dominate this region."

"The Blackspire Demon Clan has been amassing strength for centuries. Their Supreme Demon is terrifying. If we cooperate… perhaps Skyreach Territory might truly fall into our hands."

"If we obtain Skyreach, the dream of a unified continent under Vernal Dawn would be one step closer!"

The excitement grew... but the white-haired elder's expression darkened.

He slammed his wooden staff onto the ground.

Boom!

An overwhelming wave of pressure burst outward.

The entire hall went silent once more. Spines stiffened. Sweat dripped. No one dared to breathe loudly after that.

"Quiet," he commanded.

Solus Vernal scanned the hall and finally spoke.

"He has lived hundreds of years like a dog. He is the Supreme Demon of the Blackspire Mountains but he remains a demon."

"The hatred between humans and demons is older than any of us. It is a conflict that cannot be resolved."

"People who are not of our race… their hearts are different."

His voice grew heavier.

"To cooperate with the Heavenly Demon Sect is no different from seeking a tiger's skin. It would also put us in direct opposition with the human race. If we side with demons… would the Vernal Dawn Dynasty still have a foothold in Skyreach?"

His words carried an emperor's overwhelming authority.

"My Vernal clan has always relied on our own strength, not the aid of others, much less demons."

Solus's tone sharpened, filled with a majestic righteousness.

"We will take Skyreach Territory sooner or later. And when that day comes, even the demons of Blackspire will kneel before Vernal Dawn. There will be no shortage of demons from the south to conquer."

His declaration resounded throughout the hall like a divine proclamation.

Everyone lowered their heads, cowed.

"Send my reply," Solus ordered. "Reject all forms of cooperation. There is nothing for us to discuss."

"Yes!" The guard bowed and left.

Solus's gaze then turned sharp and cold.

"The deaths of Bram and Gilbert in the Skyreach Territory… are a direct provocation against the Vernal clan."

His aura intensified.

"Third Elder."

A middle-aged man with a square face stepped forward.

"You will take full command of this matter. Find the one who killed Bram and bring him back to the clan."

"Yes!" The Third Elder bowed.

Solus added:

"Since this person was able to kill Gilbert and Mr. Willow, his strength must be extraordinary likely half-step Supreme. Therefore… I grant you permission to mobilize one of the clan's Guardians."

A shock ran through the hall.

The Third Elder felt his pulse quicken.

Mobilizing a Guardian… was no small matter.

The Vernal clan had four Guardians—three were true Supremes. The fourth was in secluded cultivation, expected to step into the Supreme Realm soon.

If a Guardian joined him, then even the most monstrous enemy would have nowhere to hide.

Confidence surged in the Third Elder's heart.

With a Supreme Realm Guardian at his side, the chances of capturing Bram's killer soared to nearly absolute.

Solus looked at him with a cold, commanding gaze.

"Do not fail."

The Third Elder lowered his head deeply.

"clear!" The third elder cupped his hands and said.
