Chapter 121: Entering Top Three!
Gabriel was about to use his extraction talent on the dead Cerberus when he remembered that everything was being broadcast live…
'I can't use Extraction in the open, but good thing I can store the corpse for later,' he thought as he placed the arm of the beast inside his inventory.
Of course, everyone noticed this. However, they didn't find it strange—after all, it was common practice for adventurers to sell monster parts to butchers.
Gabriel walked around the corpse, noticing that it had dropped a skill.
[Ice Lance LV.1]
[Rarity: Uncommon]
[Description: Summons a sharp lance of ice and hurls it at a target, dealing moderate ice damage. Cooldown: 30 seconds]
"Ice Lance." His eyes gleamed when he saw the skill description.
"The boss monster dropped a skill!" Bunny exclaimed excitedly, coming up to Gabriel to take a closer look.
"Yeah," Gabriel said, handing the skill to her.
"Huh?" A look of confusion shone on Bunny's face.
"You can have it," repeated Gabriel.
Bunny shook her head, refusing. "No, Sir Broken, you did all the work. It's only right that you keep it."
"This is because of your contribution. Besides, I can always get skills—so you can keep this one," he said, shoving the skill into her hand before walking away.
The others in the team stared at Bunny enviously. Skills were rare, and yet he just casually handed one to an otherworlder whose life wasn't even in real danger.
Gabriel noticed this and remarked in a deep voice,
"If you perform well in the next wave, I'll make sure to reward you as well."
When they heard this, the eyes of the four lit up simultaneously.
Some time later, Gabriel ordered his teammates to look for all cores and drops among the monster corpses.
In a sense, the Ice Lance belonged to the Adventurer Guild, but he could easily replace it, so he didn't care.
From this monster horde, the group harvested 50 mana cores and ten random weapons. After leaving nothing untouched, they continued heading deeper into the wilderness.
Unaware that several meters behind them were at least 50 members of the ChaosKnight Guild, with ChaosCleric at the lead alongside IceQueen.
ChaosCleric's eyes glimmered with hesitation as he watched the replay of Gabriel's fight with Cerberus on the forum.
He had never been so scared of an NPC before.
Alfonso the Cardinal was obviously stronger than Broken Heaven, but not even he gave off the deadly aura that Broken Heaven emitted.
"Stop!" IceQueen suddenly called out, and everyone became alert.
When they looked through the window, they saw that Gabriel and his team had come to a stop—they were currently battling a horde of ogres ahead.
"Oh, would you look at that!" Noel exclaimed when she saw the footage. "It seems the ChaosKnight Guild is going to try attacking the Adventurer Guild!"
"Is this stupidity or bravery?" Doodle shook his head, already knowing what was about to happen. "If I were IceQueen, after that battle, I wouldn't be dumb enough to fight him! This is just being stupid!"
"Well, what do we know? She might have something up her sleeve," Noel shrugged. "Let's not forget, this is IceQueen who dominated other games like Fantasy Online. Just like her brother, she's talented."
"That's a fat lie right there." Doodle scoffed. "Jayden was the most talented professional gamer. I believe even in the coming years, there wouldn't be anyone like him. But IceQueen? She's a daddy's girl—no game knowledge, everything handed to her by her dad."
"Well, let's not water down her own hard work either," Noel said, quickly moving on from the topic.
The screen shifted to show another location.
This time it showed a single woman with raven hair, pale blue eyes, and a slim long blade.
It was none other than the Vice Leader of the Adventurer Guild—Scarlet Voss.
Before her stood at least a hundred mountain ogres, all wielding clubs and staring at her with lustful eyes.
Calmly, Scarlet approached the army with elegant steps.
The mountain ogres sniffed when they caught a whiff of her scent.
Scarlet narrowed her eyes—a brief look of disgust flashing through them.
BOOM!
She dashed forward, channeling mana into her blade. She slashed the air, and three silver arcs shot forward, cutting the ogres apart.
The vice leader moved with grace and struck with precision. Each of her attacks dealt a killing blow.
"It's as if she's walking through a park!" Noel exclaimed, eyes shining in admiration.
Yet, in another location—
"Blink! Blink!"
Alice repeatedly used her skill, weaving through the monster ranks and slicing their throats, killing them instantly.
She finally stopped vanishing and reappearing, taking a deep breath as she glanced around, noticing that she had killed at least 30-plus monsters by herself.
Looking around, she noticed her teammates were struggling to fend off the monsters, so she instantly blinked forward to help them.
Not too far away was Sophie, and she had practically turned her battlefield into a forest.
A poisonous forest that killed monsters even if they so much as inhaled the air.
It was one of her strongest skills, called Poison Mist Forest.
[Poison Mist Forest LV.3]
[Rarity: Rare]
[Description: Summons a poisonous forest in a 20-meter radius. Enemies inside are continuously poisoned, taking damage over time. Requires 10 MP per second to maintain.]
With a cold look behind the veil covering her face, she watched as the monsters fell one after the other.
The Adventurer Guild was doing better than expected, and this shocked everyone—including those on the player forum.
Only a few players had chosen the Adventurer Guild, and even those did so because they were out of time.
Now, seeing that they had ended up on one of the strongest sides, some players were filled with regret, while others began plotting ways to switch over.

[Forum Chat]
Haifuri: Bro I picked Crimson Star and these Adventurer Guild NPCs out here acting like raid bosses!
Noisy: Who tf is that girl blinking all over the place?! She's killing ogres like it's a joke!
Funforallpeople: That's Alice. She's the younger sister of Scarlet Voss.
Alex_cassas: LMAO the poisonous forest girl is insane! She just nuked a squad of elite mobs by standing still. I love her already!

Elsewhere, at the edge of a valley, a tall individual in a slim-fitting dragon armor with curved shoulder pads like demonic horns looked up at the rankings with a look of intrigue.
The Adventurer Guild was slowly inching closer to Martial Palace.
Beside him stood a striking beauty with Asian features, flawless skin, and a face sculpted like a goddess.
"Vice Leader Liang, I think you should join the fight now," she said softly, looking at the youth's broad back. "If we don't, the Adventurer Guild will overtake the Martial Palace."
"Right. Let's get going already," Liang yawned. "I promised that old man I'd win this, so I can't let some public guild embarrass the Martial Palace."
He glanced below, where members of the Martial Palace Guild—alongside some cannon-fodder otherworlders—were battling monsters.
"Time to remind everyone why Spirit Qi is the most powerful energy!"
