Chapter 120: Broken's Might [2]

Cerberus roared angrily at Gabriel after seeing its minions all taken down by him. Without hesitation, it fired three elemental attacks—fire, lightning, and ice!

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Despite seeing the three attacks charging toward him with deadly precision, Gabriel remained calm.

"Dark Flame Orb," he mumbled as three massive orbs of black fire swirled above his palm.

The skill consumed 30 MP per use; however, Gabriel overcharged it with a whopping 200 mana points, making it pulse with tremendous power.

With a flick of his wrist, he sent the orb of flame toward the elemental attacks.

BOOM!

Upon impact, an explosion occurred midair, nullifying Cerberus's barrage.

ROOAR!

The Cerberus roared in rage, but before it could initiate another attack, Gabriel unleashed a barrage of dark blasts.

-3,200!

-2,800!

-4,500! [Critical Hit!]

-2,900!

-3,300!

The first blast hit the fire-breathing head, the second struck its shoulder, while the third detonated right in its abdomen.

However, a Level 65 monster still had plenty of health left.

Gabriel closed the little distance between them and began slashing at the Cerberus.

His battle style wasn't refined—it was pure savagery.

He cut off one of the monster's heads, causing a fountain of blood to shoot into the air. He didn't dodge. Instead, he lodged his sword into the beast's heart and twisted it, a cold look on his face.

-6,200! [Critical Damage!]

"Mind you, that beast is Level 65. It's stronger than most Awakened who've completed their first advancement, yet Sir Broken is easily manhandling it?" Bunny said excitedly to her viewers.

Her comment section practically exploded:

[Hahahahahaha, I love this!]

[Broken Heaven is such a savage!]

[Damn, if I didn't know better I'd think he was the monster!]

[Gore! I love bloody fights like this!]

[Still can't believe ChaosKnight really wants to fight someone like this!]

"Hahahaha! Didn't I tell you!" Doodle Brambleton laughed hysterically as he saw the insane damage numbers Broken Heaven was putting out.

"There's none like him—he's going to win this competition!"

"Hmph." Noel scoffed. "Let's not jump to conclusions yet. The event lasts for days. This is just the first day."

Back in the game, Gabriel's teammates had dealt with the mob-level monsters and turned their attention to him as he pushed the boss-type monster back.

Their eyes were filled with awe.

They had been in the Adventurer Guild for a while, yet they never knew someone this fierce and powerful.

In the Valerian Capital, because Gabriel had been the one to encounter the strongest monster at the start of the event, his battle was now being projected for all citizens to see.

"Damn, who is this guy?!"

"I'm getting literal chills watching him!"

"Look! It seems he's part of the Adventurer Guild!"

"They have someone that strong?!"

Everyone was genuinely shocked.

Until now, they thought the strongest person in the Adventurer Guild was Scarlet Voss—the vice leader and daughter of the legendary Thomas Voss.

But now...

"Damn it, they have two powerhouses in their midst!"

Ken of the Crimson Star Guild watched Gabriel fight, his eyes flashing.

"So this was the person who killed Ghostface," he mumbled.

Ghostface wasn't the strongest in direct combat—but his illusions? That was something else.

Even Ken wasn't confident he could break out of them.

"Yet this person did." A look of intrigue crossed his face. "Maybe Lilith getting rid of him wouldn't be so bad after all."

In another part of the wilderness, Alfonso of the Holy Church stared at the ongoing fights with a calm expression.

He shifted his gaze to the front where Knights of the Church were battling monsters.

Alfonso retrieved a comlink from his inventory and said, "Do you have eyes on him?"

"Yes, Your Eminence," a respectful voice replied on the other end.

"Good. I need you to step in when ChaosKnight fails—and strike him down when he least expects it."

"Yes, Your Eminence!" the voice replied before hanging up.

A small smirk appeared on Alfonso's face behind the mask.

Shaking off the thought, he glanced again at the knights in front.

"Don't stop! Push back these monstrosities!" he barked.

"Yes, Your Eminence!"

---

Back at the battlefield, only a single thought ran through Cerberus's head.

Escape!

It needed to get away from this man!

Gabriel seemed to see through its plan.

His eyes flashed. "Thinking of fleeing, aren't you?"

Although humans couldn't understand monsters, monsters could understand humans.

Cerberus grew desperate. It tried to flee but realized it couldn't.

It looked down at its feet and noticed a small glowing circle beneath them.

It was Gabriel's skill—[Stonebind Trap].

With a wide swing, he cut the Cerberus straight through the abdomen.

[Fatal Hit!]

[Ding! You have defeated Level 65 Cerberus!]

[Ding you have receive +46 EP]

As Gabriel landed the final blow, the official ranking was updated once more.

[Live Guild Rankings – Inter-Guild Display Event]

2. Martial Palace – 58 pts

3. Adventurer Guild – 50 pts

4. Holy Church – 49 pts

6. White Flame – 40 pts

This time around, both Bunny's comment section and the game's official forum descended into chaos:

----

[Forum]

EternalJoke: WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!

Athena: ADVENTURER GUILD JUMPED TO TOP 3?!

Taucoyote: He did it again! He solo'd another field boss?! AGAIN!!

Cgreiger: Bro's doing main character stuff again

Jessierose3600: If I had known, I would've signed up for the Adventurer Guild!

Readerinthewild: True. Dang it—is it too late to switch? I want to be in the winning guild!

David_Duis: Don't think that's possible anymore.

Krellin: At this point, I'm advising ChaosKnight to call off that bounty. There's no way they can take down that monster in human form!

---

Doodle Brambleton was practically bouncing in his seat.

"Did you see that?! Did you see that?!" he screamed, face nearly glued to the screen. "This is what I've been saying, Noel! Sir Broken isn't just a powerhouse—he's THE powerhouse! He's the blueprint!"

Noel narrowed her eyes, a small smile tugging at her lips. "That was impressive… but don't forget, Olympus and Martial Palace haven't shown their real cards yet. They're the ones leading."

"It's only a matter of time until the Adventurer Guild takes the lead!"

"Hmph, we'll see about that."

Meanwhile, in the game, Gabriel approached the corpse of Cerberus.

"Last time I got a slime. I wonder what a Level 65 boss monster will drop." He smirked.
