Chapter 118: Olympus Guild Takes The Lead

"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!"

Throughout the world, billboards displayed the faces of two famous celebrity reporters.

In their homes and viewing areas, everyone was glued to their screens, eyes shining with anticipation.

With a warm, bright smile on her face, the beautiful woman introduced, "My name is Noel, and I'm here with the one and only Doodle Brambleton."

"Hi everyone, I'm happy to be on the show today," said Doodle, a bald-headed man whose face could make someone laugh just by looking at it.

"Together, we'll present to you live commentary of this year's Inter-Guild Display Event!"

The broadcast studio was decorated like a fantasy coliseum, with animated fire effects behind the hosts as they sat behind a desk shaped like a dragon's jaws.

"According to the game lore, this event is held every four years to clear out the swarm of monsters that emerge from the wilderness.

"And from an insider source, we've heard this year's Inter-Guild Display Event promises to be the biggest yet!" Noel said in an excited voice. "We have over twenty guilds registered, including the major five, millions watching live, and the mysterious NPC who has been causing waves since the game's launch!"

Doodle nodded eagerly. "That guy's clip from Whitebridge City is already sitting at 800 million views. I mean, he soloed a Level 55 raid boss while under-leveled. Who does that?!"

"Well, not to be a hater, but there are several powerful NPCs in the game world," Noel said, sipping her tea.

"You don't get it. Yes, there are—but how many of them could defeat a boss monster while being under-leveled?!"

"I still think you guys overhype him too much," Noel said. "From how you lot talk, one could easily be fooled into thinking he's the main character of this version."

"Of course he is!" Doodle, a die-hard fan of Broken Heaven and the leader of the Broken Cult, said confidently.

'Well, we'll see about that.' Noel smirked confidently. "Now, we have special streamers in the game who will be providing live updates. Over to you, Bunny!"

As she said this, the screens flickered and shifted to show the Valerian Capital.

Countless billboards were currently displaying the event, and just like the real world, they had reporters covering the game live.

Bunny was at the outskirts of the town, providing live coverage to all the viewers back at home.

"Hello everyone! Bunny here, reporting live from the outskirts of Valerian Capital!" she beamed. "The atmosphere here is electric! Players and NPCs are lining up and preparing for the epic showdown."

"As you can see, I'm a part of the Adventurer Guild," she said, motioning behind her, where Gabriel, Scarlet, Sophie, Lily, Cassie, Brunt, and Thorn were.

[Wait, Broken Heaven is part of the Adventurer Guild?!]

[Such a waste of potential! The Adventurer Guild isn't even as powerful as the White Flame Guild!]

Seeing the comments from the corner of her eyes, Bunny smiled and explained. "If you know Sir Broken by now, you'll realize that he's not someone who likes to be under anyone's control. Compared to the other guilds, the Adventurer Guild has the most relaxed rules."

"Besides, after this event, Sir Broken plans on starting his own guild!"

She turned back to the camera, now with a more serious tone. "Alright, let's talk about the mechanics of this year's Inter-Guild Display Event!"

The camera zoomed in slightly as she raised her hand.

"Each participating guild is automatically connected to the System Kill Counter, which tracks all kills made by members in real-time. The guild with the highest number of confirmed kills at the end of the event wins the championship! Note killing boss type monster reward more points!!"

Just then, a massive bestial roars echoed in the distance.

ROOOOOOAR!

"And here we go! The monster waves are already starting! Good luck to all participants!"

Gabriel glanced at Bunny from where he stood. He had seen her talking to herself—at least that's what the inhabitants of this world would think. But he knew very well she was probably addressing her live stream.

A mischievous smile appeared on his face as he turned to the rest of his teammates.

"Since we need a high kill count, I suggest we split up into different teams so we can cover a larger radius," Scarlet calmly stated. "With a healer assigned to each team."

One of the most common classes in Realm of Ascendency was the healer profession, and the Adventurer Guild had a high number of them.

In the end, several smaller teams were created, and their respective leaders were Brunt, Sophie, Cassie, Lily, Alice, Anna, Master Khrome, Gabriel, and a few others.

In total, there were about twenty different teams, and each group had at least one adventurer at level 50—except Gabriel's team.

Scarlet felt that even he alone was more than enough to handle himself in the wilderness.

Gabriel's team consisted of five other adventurers who were all below level 50.

By sheer luck or coincidence, Bunny also happened to be part of his team. They were currently in a large armored truck heading into the wilderness.

As they drove toward their destination, Gabriel pulled up his system status and dumped all his 25 free stat points into Intelligence, increasing the total to 1240.

With this much Mana Points, he could now freely overcharge his magic attacks without worrying about running out of mana.

At the same time, the other guilds were starting to move out as well. A few of them had even begun hunting monsters.

And the Olympus Guild was already leading!

Right at that moment, there was a loud explosion ahead, which raised a giant dust storm into the air. All the adventurers gripped their weapons, and Bunny watched with hawk-like eyes, ready to capture the moment.

When the dust storm subsided, a massive three-headed beast towered over their truck, glaring with angry eyes.

Gabriel gripped his sword and stepped out. His gaze swept around his surroundings, and he realized they had been surrounded by at least fifty monsters, all growling menacingly at him.

However, instead of panicking, a grin split across his face.

"Perfect," he muttered.
