God of Destruction: Living Among Mortals

Chapter 57: Elesch: Part IV

"Okay then," Apollo said with pride, as if forgetting his place in the hierarchy. "She is a fucking Eldritch, and all Eldritch are to be either terminated or sealed away. But since she 'escaped,' she has become too powerful for containment, and should be swiftly and thoroughly executed."

A wider grin appeared on his devilishly contorted face, his eyes wide, his mouth growing bigger and bigger. The two angels left him be, walking back to his chambers with a very sassy walk.

"I won't let you touch her, not even over my dead body," Nova barked back. His focus unwavering, as Apollo's grin only grew darker and darker. "If you want to get, you have to get past me." Then Nova smirked, condescending to Apollo, "But we both know that you're too much of a pussy, a coward, to even dare to attack me. Since you're so fucking weak."

The grin on Apollo's face instantly vanished, replaced with pure, primal hatred. He felt so much anger; the insult gnawed on his imaginary heart. Divine light emanated from his body as he gritted his teeth with irate eyes.

"I hate you with every fiber of my being, and I just want to watch the world burn because of you." Then Apollo smiled; it was the kind of smile that even gave Nova the chills. "But mark my words, he will eventually come to this Universe, and when he does, he will tear you limb from limb. And I will see your tendons, your organs, your very fucking being deteriorate, because we both know, even you, nor Father, will be able to stop the reincarnation of chaos itself."

Elesch became annoyed at Apollo's dialogue. Her face contorted from her childish nature into a more sinister appearance. The castle vibrated with the bloodlust she was feeling, as Apollo smirked in response.

"What are you going to do? Oh, 'Queen of the Void.'" He said, marking her title in quotation marks.

This only pissed her off now. Her bones began to crack, as if adjusting for an income-fighting scene. Her eyes gleamed with the Void, her mouth closed, betraying her thirst for his blood. She took a step closer, and closer, until she reached Nova.

"You talk too much, Apollo; that's one of your problems." She whispered, her voice filled with malice. "All this talk about killing and seeing the world burn, and yet, here you are, a coward, hiding behind the mask of someone else's strength. Are you even a Supreme God, at this point?"

The smirk instantly vanished from his face. His jaw locked tight, teeth grinding as divine sparks crackled along his skin. His eyes burned with rage, veins bulging at his temples as her words carved through whatever patience he had left.

"You dare mock me, child?" Apollo said tultumously, his voice gutural and strident. Almost ungodly. The tremble shook with the weight of his fury, divine light erupting everywhere in flashes as if his form could barely contain the hatred clawing its way out. "You insignificant, wretched bitch!"

The ground beneath him fractured, stone splitting like glass under the sheer force of his energy. His grin returned, but now it was deranged, his face twisting with primal wrath.

"I'll silence that filthy mouth of yours," he growled, voice trembling with venom. "You think yourself feared? You think your Void makes you untouchable? I'll rip the darkness from your veins and burn it until nothing remains!"

"Don't speak to my sister like that!" Nova growled, but Apollo's stare was too fixated on Elesch.

"Leave it to me, big brother, I can handle a worm like him, any day." Elesch mocked him further, then gave a bright smirk, which made the divine light lash out further, destroying the castle slowly.

Orin, the God of Death and Decay, came with Chronos, the God of Time and Space, as they couldn't ignore the rumbling that was occurring. Both of them always favored Apollo, since his mask of being righteous and being the brightest, even manipulated them.

But before anything more could happen, a figure emerged, actually, no, not a figure, but something greater. The air grew still, and even time itself hesitated, being frozen to a much further depth. Orin and Chronos bowed their heads, trembling as though their very existence quivered in His presence.

It was not a simple god. He was not even something that could be described as "a being." It was the beginning and the end, the silence and the sound, the concept of existence given form.

The Universe itself was breathing through a vessel. Its form was both blinding and formless, like countless omniverses, not even more than that, countless infinities, true infinities, as the height of all infinites, compressed into a figure.

It had no sound, but everyone knew what was being said. It echoed in their very bones and souls.

This was Father. The one who created all. The one who was existence itself. The one who carried the First Universe. There were many names across civilization for it. But everything transformed into one singular figure.

Apollo straightened, as if scared of what might happen if he were to upset Father. Father loomed over all of them, and in the next instant, no faster than an instant, they knew. The figure disappeared as Apollo grew angrier.

Nova spoke up, smirking at Apollo, then chuckling at him, as Freya and Elesch joined in as well: "Well, now you know. He doesn't care if Elesch remains here or not. And I am anyway taking her with me to the mortal realm, so she won't be a bother to you, so don't worry."

Nova, Freya, and Elesch turned around, leaving the other three Supreme Gods be. Just before they disappeared, Elesch childishly showed her tongue to Apollo, which made him more angier, but he remained silent, knowing how unfair his life truly was.

He turned back, Orin and Chronos following him as if they were his lackeys. He chuckled maniacally as if he knew what the future was going to hold, so he didn't need to worry about anything other than staying alive and being the most favored god in Heaven.
