Chapter 35: Chapter 35: I'll Take You to Clear the Dungeon, You Don’t Need to Do Anything

"Wait, you don't even know about this?" Jeny asked, her expression one of mock surprise, as if discovering a rare phenomenon.

Marsh kept silent, his expression unchanging. He simply looked at her, clearly uninterested in whatever game she was playing.

Jeny smirked. "Oh, this is good. There's something even you don't know! I thought you knew everything."

Marsh said nothing, remaining calm and impassive. He wasn't some omnipotent being. It wasn't surprising there were things he didn't know. Jeny, however, seemed to find it endlessly amusing.

"Come on," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Say something nice to me, and I'll tell you."

Marsh turned his head away and closed his eyes, effectively ending the conversation. If she didn't want to share, then so be it. He wasn't going to waste his breath trying to please her.

Jeny's grin faded, and she rolled her eyes. "You're no fun at all. You can't even take a joke."

She let out an exaggerated sigh. "Fine, I'll tell you. It's because I'm using a cooling amulet."

At her words, Marsh opened his eyes slightly, his curiosity piqued. A cooling amulet? He searched his memory but couldn't recall ever learning about such an item.

Jeny noticed his confusion and gave him a smug smile. "Ah, you really didn't know, huh? This is fun. Let me explain."

She pulled out a palm-sized gem-like object and held it up for Marsh to see. "This is it. The cooling amulet. It allows me to ignore dungeon cooldowns, so I can keep going back in."

The amulet was a shimmering gemstone engraved with intricate runes that glowed faintly. Marsh activated his Detection Technique, and a small panel of information appeared before his eyes:

[Primary Cooling Amulet]

Uses Remaining: 7/10

Effect: Eliminates the cooldown period for dungeon re-entry. Only effective for dungeons below Level 20.

Marsh studied the information, impressed despite himself. Such an item was undoubtedly rare and valuable.

"It's amazing, right?" Jeny said, clearly enjoying his reaction. "With this, I can keep grinding without having to wait."

Marsh nodded slightly, acknowledging its usefulness. "Is it expensive?" he asked after a moment of silence.

Jeny shrugged. "I don't know exactly. My dad gave it to me, but judging by how he looked when he handed it over, I'd say it's pretty pricey. He even seemed a little reluctant."

That explained it. Jeny's family was wealthy, with strong ties to the Xihai region. If even her father had hesitated before giving her the amulet, it must have been worth a significant sum.

Jeny continued, "I'm planning to use up all the charges over the next two days. Combined with my own natural cooldowns, I should be able to clear about nine dungeons. That should get me to Level 15."

She groaned dramatically, throwing her head back. "But I'm going to be so exhausted by then. Why does leveling have to be so hard?"

Marsh watched her quietly, thinking. After a moment, he spoke. "I can take you to clear dungeons. You won't have to do anything, and I'll make sure you reach Level 15."

Jeny's eyes lit up. "Really?" she asked, her voice filled with excitement. Then her expression turned thoughtful. "But if I let you carry me, I'll never catch up to your level."

Marsh gave her a sidelong glance, as if to say, Do you really think you'll catch up otherwise?

Jeny hesitated, then sighed. "You're right. I'm too far behind already. Fine, I'll take you up on your offer. But you'll use the amulet with me, okay? No sense in wasting the charges."

Marsh nodded. It was a fair trade. With the amulet's effect, they could enter more dungeons than usual, and he could still gain experience, even if it was slightly less due to being in a party.

"Good," Jeny said, clapping her hands. "Let's not waste any time. We'll start now."

Marsh shook his head. "Two hours," he said simply. "My cooldown hasn't ended yet."

Jeny pouted. "Two hours? Ugh, fine. I'll take a nap then. Wake me up when it's time."

With that, she curled up on the ground nearby and promptly fell asleep. Her carefree demeanor was almost baffling to Marsh, but he supposed it was a testament to how much she trusted him.

He gave a silent command to his skeleton warriors, instructing them to keep watch, then resumed meditating to restore his mental strength.

---

Two hours later, Marsh stood and walked over to Jeny. "Get up," he said, his voice calm but firm.

Jeny stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Already?" she mumbled sleepily.

She stretched, revealing her toned stomach as her shirt rode up slightly. Marsh turned his gaze away, unbothered but uninterested in the display.

"Alright, let's do this!" Jeny said, her energy returning. She activated the cooling amulet, and a soft glow enveloped her for a moment.

"Okay, the cooldown's reset. Let's go."

Marsh opened the dungeon interface and selected their destination. As he scrolled through the difficulty options, he paused on one and confirmed the selection.

Jeny's face turned pale as the notification appeared before them.

[Difficulty: Nightmare]

"Did you just…?" she began, her voice filled with disbelief. But before she could finish her sentence, they were teleported into the dungeon.

---

The environment around them was dark and oppressive, with towering stone walls and the faint sound of dripping water echoing in the distance. The Nightmare difficulty dungeon was no joke. Even experienced teams struggled to survive here.

Jeny's eyes darted around nervously. "Are you insane? This is Nightmare difficulty! You can't be serious!"

Marsh didn't respond. He simply summoned his skeletal warriors, who emerged from the ground in eerie silence. Their glowing eyes flickered menacingly as they awaited his commands.

"Stay back," Marsh said, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I'll handle this."

Jeny opened her mouth to protest, then closed it. She had seen Marsh's abilities before. If anyone could solo a Nightmare dungeon, it was him.

"Fine," she muttered, crossing her arms. "But if we die, I'm blaming you."

Marsh didn't bother replying. He gestured toward his skeleton warriors, and they moved forward, engaging the first wave of enemies with ruthless efficiency.

As the battle unfolded, Jeny watched in awe. Marsh's control over his summons was nothing short of masterful. Each skeleton moved with precision, their attacks coordinated as if they shared a single mind.

Despite the high difficulty of the dungeon, Marsh remained calm and collected. His mana reserves were vast, and his spells devastated the enemy forces.

Jeny found herself relaxing as the dungeon progressed. It was clear Marsh had everything under control. True to his word, she didn't have to lift a finger.

---

By the time they exited the dungeon, Jeny was in high spirits. "That was incredible!" she exclaimed. "You made it look so easy."

Marsh didn't respond, but a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He checked their progress and saw that Jeny had gained a significant amount of experience.

"Four more runs," he said. "Then you'll reach Level 15."

Jeny grinned. "Perfect. Let's keep going."

For the rest of the day, they continued clearing dungeons together. Marsh's efficiency never wavered, and Jeny found herself growing more and more impressed with his abilities.

By the time they were done, Jeny had reached her goal. She was exhausted but elated, and for once, she couldn't bring herself to feel annoyed at Marsh.

"Thanks," she said as they left the dungeon for the final time. "I mean it. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you."

Marsh nodded. "You're welcome."

Jeny smiled, then added with a teasing tone, "But don't think I'm giving up. I'll still surpass you one day."

Marsh glanced at her, his expression unreadable. "We'll see."
