Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Material Warehouse Drawings
Looking at the water that had just boiled, Fang Jie continually licked his lips. He had wanted to drink ever since he saw the river earlier but, remembering that he could not treat any sickness afterward, he had resisted until now.
Holding a roughly made cup that he had just dug up, he slowly waited for the water to cool down.
The Skeletons were still helping to dismember two wild oxen; the scene was bloody, and Fang Jie had no intention of watching.
After all, he couldn't do it himself, so he let the Skeleton Labor handle it. What Fang Jie hadn't expected was that the Skeleton Labor was actually quite good at this task. They might not be as good as professionals, but they didn't seem like amateurs either.
"Truly worthy of a farmer-type troop," Fang Jie nodded in satisfaction.
Then, Fang Jie opened the discussion forum and looked at the debates occurring there. "It hasn't been long, and there have already been so many accidents. But there are quite a few who have upgraded their Lord's Cottage, over a dozen already."
Fang Jie didn't know how many people were in their area, but looking at the newly opened stores in the trading area, there were only a dozen or so.
There were all sorts of items being traded, even weeds were listed.
Suddenly, Fang Jie's eyes lit up; he saw a blueprint. "Material Warehouse blueprint, good stuff." Fang Jie had been worried that the beef would rot if it wasn't eaten soon.
He had initially thought about making some of the excess beef into cured meat, but now it seemed it could be used for trade.
"A Material Warehouse should have the capability to keep things fresh, and even if it doesn't, at least it's a place to store them." Fang Jie couldn't believe that such a functional structure wouldn't have any special capabilities.
Without a second thought, Fang Jie clicked on the store named Liu Liang.
"Hello, I'm Fang Jie. How do we trade for your Material Warehouse blueprint?"
The other party hadn't listed any specific amount of goods for the trade, so Fang Jie had to ask.
The response came very quickly: "Food, anything will do."
It seemed he was hungry. Coming to this world, everyone arrived with some fragments of their original world, the exact details unknown, but like himself, there were likely many without water and food.
Fang Jie glanced at the beef he had just sorted. From one ox, he had managed to cut fifty units, knowing that one unit could feed one person for a day.
It must be said, the wild oxen in this otherworld were indeed very large.
"I have beef here, I can trade with beef," Fang Jie also sent a picture, one that showed a slice of beef being barbecue on his iron shovel.
Liu Liang, seeing this picture, felt his salivary glands start to work.
"Good, let's trade with beef, I want thirty units."
Fang Jie frowned. Liu Liang was really asking for a lot; many places were short of food, and thirty units could feed a person for thirty days. Usually, people couldn't come up with that much.
"The price is too high; many people in various places are short of food. Your blueprint is not a Soldier blueprint; it's just a warehouse, which ordinary people might not even need."
"This is a blueprint. Right now, in the trading area, only I have this kind of blueprint. Moreover, there were some next to the supermarket earlier. If I contact them, they can definitely provide it."
Fang Jie smiled, "Then you can try contacting them. The area around the supermarket is densely populated; surely not just one person has it. They have more people and definitely a greater demand for this food."
The other side fell silent; Fang Jie was right, in fact, he had already contacted them before.
If the other side could have offered a high price, he would have already sold the blueprint, as he had been contacted by quite a few people in this period. "Then you name your price."
Fang Jie thought for a moment, gave a low offer to test the waters.
"How about ten units? That's already not little, and meat will rot if left too long."
The other side directly sent a message: "Twenty-eight units, that's the lowest I can go."
Neither side would yield, and the argument continued for a while. By the time Fang Jie's water had cooled down, they finally reached an agreement. Fang Jie took a sip of water, then replied.
"Deal, fifteen units, but if it goes bad over time, don't blame me."
Then, Fang Jie uploaded fifteen units of beef, set the trade price, and the other side responded instantly. The beef disappeared from in front of him, and a blueprint appeared in his hand.
"What kind of technology is this, long-distance teleportation?" Fang Jie's eyes widened.
Then he looked at the blueprint and slowly began to smile. "Didn't expect to make such a profit. That Liu Liang probably hadn't seen this kind of blueprint before, let me take advantage of that."
Material Warehouse Blueprint (Black Iron): A warehouse capable of storing various materials. Requires 100 units of stone, 100 units of wood.
The introduction seemed simple, but the addition of the Black Iron label meant that the blueprint was graded. The Transformation Field blueprint he had received before did not have the Black Iron label.
But just as he looked up, Fang Jie couldn't help but lose his smile. "Indeed, no one is a fool; they didn't lose out either."
Because he saw Liu Liang had immediately uploaded the beef for trade for stone and wood. One unit of beef was traded for twenty units of stone or wood, and, strangely enough, it sold very fast; ten units disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"So much stone and wood must definitely be for upgrading the Lord's Cottage. No, I can't let them get ahead."
Wood and stone could be collected slowly, but not food. Without food, people would die.
"I don't know if there are other places with water; maybe I could sell water." As Fang Jie thought, he placed a bucket of water in the trading area, setting it for twenty units of stone or wood, and it was traded in less than three seconds.
Then, Fang Jie thought for a while and put up some of the beef as well, since it was prone to spoil if left. As for food, he had many troops at his disposal, and he could always explore the forest for more.
It wasn't long before Fang Jie had to leave the Lord's Cottage, as it was already filled with wood and stone.
The Material Warehouse needed to be built quickly.
Seeing that he had enough materials, Fang Jie decided to set up the construction of the Material Warehouse right behind the Lord's Cottage while also upgrading his own Lord's Cottage.
"The beef should be well-cooked by now; time to fill up first."
Fang Jie walked forward, using two sticks as chopsticks to carefully pick up the beef, then he moved it towards his mouth. That juicy texture and the tantalizing taste were so tempting.
Fang Jie endured the hot sensation, hurriedly ate up the meat, then patted his stomach, finally having had a fulfilling meal.
