Chapter 882: Lightning Zombie Lord vs Saint Knight
Thud…
The Saint-Class Knight landed just beyond the northern wall, her boots touched the scorched earth with a quiet thud.
At this time, her armor shimmered with holy light, and her helm had an emblem of an angel wings…
At her appearance, the Zombie Lord seemed to realize that a problematic figure appeared.
Boros didn't wait... Lightning surged toward her.
She didn't flinch.
The bolt struck her chestplate directly, but the energy dispersed harmlessly across her armor, absorbed and nullified by the sacred plating.
Then, she raised her sword.
It was longer than most greatswords, inscribed with runes that no one recognized…
The Zombie Lord Boros paused.
For the first time since it arrived, it didn't advance and simply looked at the Saint-Class Knight cautiously.
Natalie exhaled in relief. Lightning-Type powers weren't something she could deal with… The Holy Arts weren't that great against such creatures.
Thankfully, the Saint Knight was indeed capable of ignoring such attacks thanks to her armor.
This wasn't her first time summoning the knight after all. She had done this before to stop Vampire Lord Statham from targeting her territory.
"Alright. Saint Knight Seraphiel… Hold the line."

The rain continued to pour. It was heavy and persistent, drenching the battlefield in sheets of cold water. Thunder rolled overhead, and flashes of lightning lit the sky in briefbursts, but none of it could match the radiance that now emanated from the northern wall.
Seraphiel raised her left hand.
Without a chant, without a gesture, dozens of light orbs materialized around her… It started hovering in the air like miniature suns.
They pulsed once, then expanded, casting a warm, golden glow across the shelter.
The effect was immediate.
The darkness brought by the storm and the redness caused by the red moon was pushed back!
It felt as if it had become a day within the shelter's domain!
From the command tower to the outer trenches, visibility surged.
Indeed! The fog and rain still fell, but the battlefield was now illuminated as if it were midday.
The Priests gasped in shock as many of them didn't know about Seraphiel's existence.
Still, all of them could feel her holy energy…
The Bishops steadied their stances as they also knew that a powerful reinforcement had finally arrived. Even the soldiers, soaked and exhausted, found renewed strength as the light revealed the positions of the advancing zombies.
What had once been a chaotic blur of shadows and movement was now a clear, tactical map.
Natalie watched from the platform, as she scanned the field. "Perfect," she muttered. "Now we can fight properly."
But Seraphiel didn't stop there.
She stepped forward, her boots pressing into the scorched earth, and pointed her blade toward Boros.
The Zombie Lord responded instantly.
"Come to me!" Boros spoke out loud, surprising many others who had the first time hearing a Zombie talk.
Although it was already a common knowledge among the elites who had raided several Zombie Lords Territorries, many of the non-combatants or weaker guards weren't aware of this fact…
"I-it talked just now!"
"I didn't know about that. Zombie Lords could actually understand us?"
"Yes… They have sentience. They're categorized as Zombie Lords for a reason."
"T-that's true. I hope we can make peace with it."
"What? Are you serious?!"
"Nooo… I'm just messing with you…"
The various people defending the wall had different reactions upon realized that the Zombie Lord could speak…
But it all didn't matter now.
Soon, lightning surged again. This time in a wide arc, branching into five separate bolts aimed at Seraphiel's head, chest, legs, and flanks.
She moved.. It seemed that her ability to block lightning was limited.
Her moved was quick as the sword swept once, and the runes along its edge were also triggered.
Then, the lightning collided with the blade and vanished, absorbed into the runes like water!
Natalie's eyes lit up after seeing this. Seraphiel was actually a perfect counter against Boros!
Then the Saint Knight advanced.
Boros hovered backward, maintaining distance, and raised both arms. He still looked like a zombie with his decaying skin but he looked more like a Mage right now!
A pulse of electricity erupted from his body, striking the ground and sending a shockwave toward Seraphiel.
She then braced the attack!
The shockwave hit her full force, but her armor held. The ground cracked beneath her, but she didn't fall.
Instead, she raised her sword again and pointed it skyward.
The light orbs around her pulsed once more, then shot upward…
It started forming a dome of light above the shelter. From that dome, beams of concentrated holy energy rained down, targeting the densest clusters of zombies across the battlefield!
While fighting Boros, Seraphiel actually had the time to deal with other Zombies encroaching their Shelter!
Using those Holy Stones to summon Seraphiel were definitely worth it!
Explosions of light erupted across the shelter as numerous zombies were vaporized instantly.
The defenders cheered.
But Seraphiel didn't react… Her focus quickly turned to Boros.
The Zombie Lord surged forward… He then swung his arm, and a jagged spear of lightning formed mid-air, aimed directly at Seraphiel's chest.
Bam!
She didn't dodge and caught it.
Her gauntlet closed around the spear, and the lightning hissed and writhed, but it didn't escape from her hands!
She then crushed it slowly, and the energy dispersed into harmless sparks.
After that, her sword swept forward in a wide arc, and Boros was forced to retreat. The blade didn't touch him, but the pressure behind it was enough to distort the air.
Boros raised a barrier of lightning around himself, forming a cocoon of energy.
Seraphiel didn't hesitate. She stepped into it!
The barrier flared violently, but her armor absorbed the damage. Her sword pierced through the cocoon, and for the first time, Boros staggered and he was heavily injured!
But before they could celebrate, Boros grabbed a Jumper Zombie and ate it!
In just a few moments, the injured Zombie Lord was back to its full health!
