Thoughts on a new jutsu filled Gilgamesh’s mind as he worked out the tweaks he needed to add to accomplish a complete teleportation jutsu as it would help him greatly in his plans involving Shisui’s mission as he flew in a relaxed position with his hands over his head looking at the clouds above.

“This would be the first time we go out on a mission together sensei!” Mura chimed in excitedly.

“Usually I am sent alone on escort or guard missions and you alone as well, but today we are given a chance to clear all the rumours and doubts surrounding Team Zero!” Mura added as he too flew alongside Gilgamesh.

“Ho, what rumours?” Gilgamesh asked allowing for a distraction in his thought process of developing a new jutsu.

“I eavesdropped on some of the older chunin ninjas saying your wealth bought you your rank. And that your feats of destroying parts of the forest were all lies or mostly my work. They believe you sealed me, forcing me to work under you or you used your infamous potent genjutsu to control me to pay to put me in your squad. Even your squad number was believed to be bought as well.” Mura explained all he had learnt in his stay in the village for a while.

Mura observed that Konoha ninjas were not too welcoming but the older ones were tolerant due to the fact that he came from a strong clan and was reasonably strong for his level which was a plus to the village.

“Tch. Well, they are not wrong. The Third has to treat me differently since I have more than eased their financial burden of rebuilding the village amongst other projects. That’s one of the reasons we eat free and you don’t pay rent. But, it’s time to start making a name for team zero.” Gilgamesh smiled but soon frowned in thought.

But we won’t be here for long anyway. Naruto, you had better get stronger than I what I had seen in my visions.’ Gilgamesh thought and kept expanding his sensory range to pick up on his targets.

“Anyway, it feels amazing to fly sensei! This is one of the collective dreams of humans, and you accomplished it easily! I heard the hidden stone has someone who can fly amongst them.” Mura said as he flew higher in the sky to touch the clouds to find them wet.

“What about developing your own flight jutsu? What’s your progress?” Gilgamesh asked.

“Uh… I… uh. I now know how to use ice kekkei genkai? Haha.” Mura chuckled nervously trying to avoid the question.

“That much is barely a requirement to follow me in this world and beyond Mura. Work harder, you need to be above Kage level before you turn eighteen.” Gilgamesh quipped.

Nani? Beyond this world? Stronger than a Kage before I turn eighteen? He doesn’t even have a kekkei genkai, not that I know of.’ Mura kept his thoughts to himself since he didn’t want an emergency training session now.

Should I give him some of my mana now? Maybe I should wait a little.’ Gilgamesh said as he observed Mura from the corner of his eye.

Ah, can he read minds now?’ Mura thought as he looked away and continued flying forward.

Not long passed and the duo already passed the Tenchi bridge and the Hidden Grass village was just in front of them.

“Tch.” Gilgamesh uttered as his sensory waves washed over the entire country of the Hidden Grass village.

“What happened sensei?” Mura asked as he paused his flight after seeing Gilgamesh get up from his earlier relaxed position.

“We might have to get rough.” Gilgamesh added and suddenly a new jutsu came to his head like an epiphany.

Recently his control over his fireball jutsu had reached heights that he didn’t need to weave signs anymore, he could even summon fire to hover on his palm now but a new way of controlling his golden flames came to mind.

And this idea kept giving him a feeling of an itch that needed to be scratched. He could perform this new jutsu theoretically and practically but that wasn’t the problem here. It was the way the jutsu looked in his head that looked similar to a major attack he was once capable of and famous for in the Nasuverse.

Gilgamesh’s face expressed shock and that caused Mura to be on guard. Unknown to him, Gilgamesh was only trying to remember that skill he could use, because if he could remember it now, a ton of memories of himself would follow and more of his mana restored and who knows, he would be getting closer to his past strength with that skill.

“It’s no use.” Gilgamesh finally uttered causing Mura to look at the village miles in front of them and quickly then back at his sensei.

In the short time he spent with his sensei, he knew no chunin was on his level and felt the rank was an insult to his real capabilities. But he knew that if he got promoted again quickly, some ninjas would need proof since he didn’t even take the chunin exams. But what could make Gilgamesh, who he thought so highly of, give up before he even started the mission, was there someone incredibly powerful in the village, maybe that’s why his sensei required him to get even stronger.

“Sensei… don’t tell me there’s an actual threat out there that you can’t find a way around?” Mura asked as he gulped down on his saliva while pointing shakily at the village.

“Don’t worry yourself about that, it’s a personal issue.” Gilgamesh said softly and directed Mura to follow him.

No way, don’t tell me he also sets unreasonable goals for himself too? Is that why becoming stronger than a Kage before eighteen doesn’t sound out of pocket for him? Just what kind of heights is he trying to reach?’ Mura paused watching his sensei fly ahead of him.

No. I can’t focus on that. I decided to follow him because I thought he walked the path the greatness but now I see it’s even more than that. I have been limiting myself to the norm, meanwhile, there is a monster I call my sensei who thinks the sky is the starting point and not the limit. Haha, how stupid I was to put limits on myself.’ Mura chuckled inwardly as he shook his head slowly in thought.

“Oi, are you coming or what? Or do you want an afternoon training session before we set out?” Gilgamesh asked as he paused and turned back to instruct his subordinate once more.

“Ah, wait for me sensei!”
