Ghost of Nova

The staff begins to organize the students and one of them takes out a blue sphere that seems to contain magic inside of it.

"Alright when I call your names— you will place your hand on this Full Moon Orb and it will read your Magic levels. This will help us figure out your Mana System Level and determine what class to put you in. We will start out with the males first— So please approach the Orb when I call your name!"

Male students, slowly begin to walk up towards the Orb after being called. Mason is lost in thought, trying to figure out what he can and can't remember of his past. 

'I am Mason. Mason what though?'

"Mash Potato." said the Lunar Staff member.

"Alright bro, I am next wish me luck."

"Oh good luck."

'I guess I can figure it out later.'

Mash places his hand nervously on the Orb hoping he has great Mana potential inside of him. The magic inside of it, begins to swirl at a slow pace then speeds up glowing. After a few seconds the rotation of magic slows and comes to a halt. One of the staff members reads the stats on the Orb out loud.

"Okay Mr. Potato your Mana System Level is 1 with Mana Pool of 1. You shall be assigned to Classroom Z. Thank you."

All the girls in the hall begin to laugh at him.

"A human with only 1 pool of mana is this a joke!" said a girl laughing.

Another girl replied with. "There is no way I would join this guy! Hahaha!"

"Aw man." said Mash in a disappointed voice.

"Alright next is Mason um..." the staff member was confused as she was looking through her list and papers. "Yeah just Mason. Please step forward and put your hand on the Full Moon Orb— if you will."

Mason stepped forward and followed the same procedure that Mash did and the staff member began to read the stats out loud as well.

"Mr. Mason your Mana System is level 0 with a Mana Pool of 0. You shall be assigned to Classroom Z."

The girls continued to laugh even harder now. 

"Loser and loser, two times in a row!" said a girl.

"They should just get rid of these useless fools." said another girl.

"If you have already been assigned a class please take this Academy Map and proceed to your classrooms gentlemen! Next is Billy Bob!"

Mason and Mash walk out of the Assembly Hall into the Academy's hallways towards their classes. Both of them were silent but after a while they laughed it off.

"Well bro it can't all be bad— we just need to get our levels up and we will be good!"

"Yeah." said Mason.

Personally Mason didn't really care about the school, Mana System or anything he just wanted answers about the world he is in. With someone like Mash by his side— everything felt serene— so he had no problem with the outcome of the System. 

They both finally reached the classroom. They both looked at each other for a second and Mash opened the door. It looked like a basic classroom with 30 chairs, 30 desks; there were already two other guys sitting there waiting around. One was a really big fat guy, sitting in the middle row picking his nose, while the other was a scrawny looking kid with glasses sitting in the front, reading a book. Mason and Mash decided to sit together both went to the back row, Mason sat at the end of the row next to the window while Mash sat next to him.

"So I guess we wait then Mace?"

"Mace?"

"Yeah short for Mason." said Mash.

"I see." replied Mason.

They both talked for a bit and got comfortable— another male student walked in with a hoodie and sat at the second row at the end near the window. The other guys didn't say anything at all and just sat waiting for something to happen. The rest of the students slowly came in, they were all girls, no more guys showed up. The classroom which was dead silent was now filled with talkative girls, goofing around, laughing, having a good time while the guys stayed quiet. 

Mason noticed something about the girls though, they were checking out the 3 guys in the rows in front of them from time to time. They seem to be really excited about something, he had no idea what they were thinking about nor did he care at this point. A older woman walks through the door, black tied back ponytail, office worker suit, heels, glasses and stands in front of the class. The girls get in their seats and stop talking as they wait for the woman to speak.

Mash is lovestruck. "She is pretty bro I am gonna ask her out."

Mason simply replied. "Sure."

"Alright boys and girls let me first start by introducing myself; I am Miss Diana Kuro but you will all call me Miss Kuro." she pushes up her glasses as she speaks. "The way we teach in this school is completely different than any other. I will convey information to you everyday, teach you 1 thing or two, perhaps 1 lesson at the end and then you will spend the rest of the day with all the male and female students until the bell rings. However no one will be allowed to leave the premises of the school are we clear?"

All the students nod their head and simultaneously answer. "Yes!"

"Good. Now can someone tell me why our school functions this way?"

One girl answers. "To encourage the men to approach the women."

"That is correct. Less time in the class and more time with each other. The bond you create and build with each other as Commanders and Valkyrie are far more important than any lesson you learn in this school or outside. Now I am gonna get all the boys to connect their Mana System's to the Goddess Link Network to officially get them started as Commanders. Girls you wait here and you boys follow me, please into the next room."

"Finally." said the big guy.

"Whatever." said the guy in the hoodie.

The nerdy guy asked the teacher a question. "Will this hurt? I don't do well with pain Miss Kuro."

Miss Kuro just smiled and said. "There is nothing to worry— you will not feel anything it is really simple, like turning on a light switch."

The 5 guys get up from their seats and walk toward the room the teacher, opened. They walk inside and are given military uniforms to put on. They get dressed up and after everyone is ready— the teacher begins to link their Systems to the GLN (Goddess Link Network). She waves her hand and casts magic on each of them they begin to glow blue for a seconds then return to normal. Their stats now begin to show up in front of their faces.

"Do not be alarmed— it will take some time, to get adjusted but you will get more comfortable as the days progress do not worry. Now you can all see your Stats, Quests, Mana Pool, Party Composition and many more features. Play around with it when you have the chance.

'She's right. I see everything.'

"As you grow more stronger your Mana Pool shall also grow and new stats and features will become available to you in the future. For now these are the basic stats you will need as a rookie commander. When you are done you are free to go back into the classroom or roam around the school for the rest of the day."

"Um hey Mace I am gonna hang out a bit in the class and talk to Miss Kuro for a bit you go ahead and go to the cafeteria and I shall meet you there in a bit okay." Mash said while staring at Miss Kuro the whole time.

"Alright." replied Mason. 

'Just need to figure out which way it is.'

"Guess I will just walk in a direction and find out." Mason said to himself.
