Chapter 408: "Where is Little Liu?"
Wuhan stayed silent for a second before nodding at Shi Tzu. "Very well, if that's what you want I will comply with your wish and add it to the awards along with one more vial from me to both the captains who used all of their powers to fulfill their duties."
Hu Fei and Bai Chen could not believe that they were the ones who were receiving such a precious treasure now. Bai Chen had no problem with Noah receiving the elixir. After all, he lost to the man, and the winner always gets the reward.
"Your Majesty, we don't deserve this reward. We were following our duties, not to mention we lost in the end." It was not Bai Chen who rejected this reward. It was Hu Fei, who seemed to have calmed down after hearing Wuhan's words.
She shifted her gaze towards Noah and added, "Even though I hate to admit it, we lost to this young man, and I don't want to be awarded for losing."
Bai Chen also nodded behind Hu Fei, agreeing with her words. Wuhan's eyes twitched, realizing no one wanted to take the reward.
Shi Tzu, who had been watching as the whole event transpired, opened his mouth once more. "There is no need to be hasty. You are being awarded for your loyalty, not for your losses. Getting stronger is one way to make sure you don't lose when his majesty really needs it."
The two captains were moved by the prime minister's words but still did not feel good about taking the vial. As if seeing through their minds, Shi Tzu continued, "How about this~ His Majesty has a task for you to do. If you manage to live up to his expectations, you will be rewarded with this vial."
Wuhan nodded, remembering that he still had to search for talented people in his army. Even after finding them, they would need training before they could go up against the talents of the whole world.
"What task?" Both captains looked at Shi Tzu with a sharp look in their eyes. Smiling, Shi Tzu stored the vial in his storage ring.
"The task will be given to you by your head captain. In the meantime, train all the guards under you to the fullest." Experience tales at empire
Hu Fei and Bai Chen immediately nodded and accepted the task willingly.
"Now that this matter is out of the way, I have something to announce." Wuhan stood up from his throne while glancing at the prime minister. "I am leaving to handle some work for a few days and in my absence, Shi Tzu will be handling all the important matters."
Wuhan's words struck like lightning in Shi Tzu's mind. He still recalled all the pain he had to suffer while handling all the work in Wuhan's absence.
"I trust that you won't let me down, Shi Tzu." Before the man could even utter a word to deny it, Wuhan came forward and patted his shoulder.
Hearing Wuhan trusted him that much, Shi Tzu started tearing up.
'Poor guy did not even realize he was being played by that man.' Noah shook his head seeing the moved look on the prime minister's face.

After the meeting ended, Noah and Wuhan sneaked out of the Royal Palace before anyone could see them. After leaving the capital city, they walked for some distance before taking out a flying artifact to travel on.
A huge array formation appeared behind the flying ship as they soared through the sky. Wuhan glanced at the Royal Palace one last time before looking forward.
"You could make a great emperor." Wuhan turned to look at Noah, who had long shifted back to his original appearance. Seeing Noah looking at him with a puzzled look, he added, "The way you handled the situation in the throne room, they did not even realize when they were playing into your hands."
"But I hate that kind of work, so even if I could make a great emperor, I would never." Noah looked back at the capital city that was getting farther and farther from them.
"By the way, why are there no women in the royal family?" As if recalling something, Noah asked Wuhan, "I have not seen a single concubine of the previous emperor, let alone the current Emperor."
Wuhan froze upon hearing Noah's question. He wanted to immediately change the topic and not talk about his past, but recalling how Noah had shared even worse days of his past with him, he changed his mind.
"They are all dead, each one of them." Noah peered into Wuhan's eyes as he spoke about his past. "They were killed by my mother."
"Were you close with them?" Noah asked, seeing a little sadness in Wuhan's eyes.
"No, each one of them was worse than the other."
"Then why does it matter?" Noah could not help but ask in confusion. To him, royal feuds were normal; he had seen it many times in his past life—queens killing their stepkids or concubines with poison and other shady tricks.
"It was because she slaughtered them in open court," Wuhan replied with a forced smile on his face. Noah was rendered speechless. Before he could say anything, the cloaked barrier of the sect came into sight.
*Woosh!*
Tearing through the array, the ship started to descend. Wuhan and Noah both jumped out of the ship, storing it away.
Without saying anything, Wuhan flew directly in the direction of the manor without waiting for Noah. His figure tore through the air and appeared inside the hall where three people were lying on different beds.
Seeing their eyes closed, Wuhan almost panicked, but when he realized they were just unconscious, he calmed down. His arrival did not go unnoticed by the other people inside the manor.
*Clang!*
Xin Yan, Ming Ye, and Ruo'er rushed out of their rooms and reached the main hall. Seeing Wuhan standing before their beds, they stood rooted in their spot.
Noah was the last person to appear, and he immediately walked towards Wuhan after entering the hall.
"Where is Little Liu?" Sensing Noah coming towards him, Wuhan looked over his shoulder and asked impatiently. A feeling of restlessness started to rise in his heart, seeing the concerned look on the faces of the three people behind Noah.
