Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!

Chapter 407: Hu Fei's Anger! Noah's Scheme!

Noah's deep meditation came to an end when he heard a knock on his door. It turned out to be a maid who had come to tell him that the emperor had asked for his presence in the throne room.

After straightening his robes with a wave of his hand, Noah walked out of the room only to be welcomed by the rising sun. Seeing that it was early in the morning, Noah realized that he had been inside his room for a whole day.

This was not surprising given his cultivation. Excluding the powerful soul that didn't require him to rest, cultivators above the Core Formation realm could skip days' worth of sleep and still feel fresh the next morning.

By the time he reached the gates of the throne room, Noah noted that the number of guards in the area had increased exponentially. It was clear that the stunt he had pulled caused Wuhan to tighten the security in the palace.

*Tap*

Upon entering the throne room, Noah felt many pairs of eyes on him. Everyone in the room was looking in his direction. When he looked closely, he noticed Shi Tzu, the two captains he had defeated along with the head captain and a few high-ranking members of the council.

He could feel all types of gazes on him—some filled with suspicion, confusion, curiosity, and some even indifferent to him.

Among all these gazes, the intensity of the two stood out the most. Noah recognized them both at a single glance. One was filled with fighting intent and a bit of admiration, while the other was filled with intense hate and anger.

"Ah! You are here, Nuo Yan." Seeing Noah step into the room, Wuhan smiled slightly and welcomed him. "As some of you may not know him, this is Nuo Yan, a good friend of mine that I came to know on my travels."

When Wuhan said those words, all the officials looked at Noah with piercing gazes. Someone worthy enough to be called the emperor's friend would be no simple person.

Hu Fei, on the other hand, clenched her fists, the coldness in her eyes not receding at all. 'So he escaped the punishment because he was the Emperor's friend.'

The officials tried to see through his cultivation, but the only thing they could see was a bottomless abyss. This further steeled their doubts that the man before them was not as simple as he seemed.

"You called for me, Your Majesty?" Noah ignored all the gazes and looked at Wuhan.

Wuhan nodded and looked at Shi Tzu. Taking the signal, Shi Tzu came before Noah and waved his hand, and a transparent vial filled with a green liquid appeared in his hands.

"This is the Essence of the 100-year-old Spirit Lotus." As soon as those words came out of Shi Tzu's mouth, a series of gasps sounded all across the hall. Hu Fei, who like all the others knew the importance of the liquid in the prime minister's hands, looked at it with a baffled expression.

"This liquid cannot increase the quality of a cultivator's qi, but it can help them break through to the next level. This is like a treasure for those who are in the early stages of the Golden Core realm."

"Are you sure about this, Your Majesty? Isn't it too hasty just to give it away like that?" The officials looked at the vial in Shi Tzu's hands and started to ask Wuhan why he would give away something so precious.

"Silence!" Wuhan raised his hand and used his qi-enhanced voice to silence them before continuing, "There is a reason why I am doing this, and it has something to do with what happened the day before yesterday. I was the one who asked him to infiltrate the royal palace."

Hu Fei's attention shifted from Noah to Wuhan. At first, she was on the verge of detesting Wuhan for awarding the person who injured his guards, but as he started to speak, her mind started to clear.

The officials who knew about it were immediately silenced. They had no basis for disapproving of awarding someone whom the emperor tasked with a mission.

The reason Wuhan was repeating the excuse was that he did not want the soldiers who were also the guards of the royal palace to turn on him. If he wanted to sell his story, he had to make it more convincing, and gifting Noah while explaining what happened in the presence of the captains was the idea he concluded.

The head captain, who knew what happened, did not say anything and stayed silent in his seat with his eyes closed. After he was done explaining, Wuhan looked at Noah and added, "This is a reward for going along with my request when you had no reason to."

Noah could not help but praise Wuhan for his acting in his heart. Honestly, the vial before him was useless to him. After he reached Golden Core, he did not plan to break through anytime soon, and the quality of his qi was already top-notch.

"Give that vial to your soldiers if you want to thank me. After all, they are the ones who had to suffer here." But since it was a good opportunity, Noah decided to help Wuhan.

And it struck Hu Fei and Bai Chen's hearts. They could not believe that someone could give up such a good treasure without even batting an eye.

"There is no need to do that, we are going to award these soldiers personally." Wuhan snapped out of his shock and shook his head.

"Hmmm~ How about you gift it to the most promising guard for me? After all, it's my gift; I can do anything I want with it."

Silence descended into the hall after Noah finished speaking. The officials could not help but wonder if the boy was just generous or if he was an idiot to give away such a valuable treasure like it's nothing.
