Chapter 402: Nuo Yan's Answer
While the head captain cursed his fate, the prime minister snapped out of his daze, hurriedly walked before the emperor, and exclaimed, "Your Majesty!"
His face was filled with shock and panic. He kept wondering why Wuhan would say something he had been keeping from his own people in front of some outsider.
"Is it really alright? I mean this could cause a lot of trouble!"
"Don't worry about it, Shi Tzu. I know what I am doing. I know you are worried about other officials finding out that I consulted someone from the outside instead of them," Wuhan assured the prime minister with his words, "But believe me, this guy is capable of doing this kind of work better than any of them."
While saying those words, Wuhan glanced at the young boy, who was looking at his fingers with a grin on his face. His attention did not even seem to be on the words he had just said.
Seeing the grin, Wuhan immediately realized what had just happened, 'So he noticed that? Tch!'
Shi Tzu, the prime minister, looked at Wuhan with a shocked look on his face and glanced at Nuo Yan. Even though he had his doubts, he backed away for the moment.
"So what do you think?" Seeing Shi Tzu backing away, Wuhan once more asked the boy.
"Hmm~ If 'someone' wants to gather so many forces in one place at one time, they should just hold a banquet." Nuo Yan smiled and replied without taking much time. "You will be surprised to see how many people come when you politely ask them to come to such places."
His vague words caused the prime minister to raise his eyebrows. 'This boy has got something, but that's not what we are looking for.'
"What if they wanted to gather as many members of that place in one area, especially the strong ones that like to stay in their homes?" Wuhan shook his head and clarified. Explore more stories with empire
"Now that is a tricky one." Nuo Yan raised his eyebrows. "No matter what anyone does to do that, they would end up catching unnecessary attention. It would backfire instead."
"Did you think I would use the free chance you gave me on something easy?" Wuhan's face gained a crafty look on it, making the boy click his tongue.
"I will not say, but I will tell you that it cannot be anything directly coming from you, or it would never work," Nuo Yan explained with a solemn look on his face, "But… if something worth catching their attention appeared out of nowhere, they might come out of their holes."
"What can make those old people come out of their holes?" The more Nuo Yan spoke, the more impressed Shi Tzu got. He could not stop himself from asking out of his curiosity.
"As you said… they are old!" Nuo Yan raised his finger and stressed the word 'old'. And almost instantly, the prime minister and the emperor's eyes widened in epiphany.
"You mean something that can increase their lifespan?" Wuhan muttered, but his words reached Nuo Yan.
"It could work, but let me give you some friendly advice. One should not gather all forces in one place unless they have an intention to befriend them, or it would inevitably turn into a bad situation." Nuo Yan looked deeply into Wuhan's eyes as he said those words.
"Indeed, your majesty, what he says has merit." Shi Tzu also backed the boy as he thought about this. "Things can get unpredictable if something like that happens."
Wuhan hummed in reply and silently contemplated the information he received. He came to realize that what he wanted to do would end up rushing into things blindly if he did not carefully plan them.
The more he thought about it, the more of a headache he got.
"Sigh~ this meeting will end here." After staying silent for a while, Wuhan got up from his throne and exclaimed, "Someone should not do something like that and end up doing something they might regret."
Wuhan said the last words looking at Nuo Yan with a smirk on his face. The smile vanished as soon as it appeared, but Nuo Yan caught it and scoffed under his breath.
The head captain almost jumped out of his seat, hearing the meeting had ended.
"Captain Black Sword, I hope you have enjoyed your vacation because you won't be receiving one anytime soon." Wuhan looked at the middle-aged captain and calmly dropped the bomb on the guy.
"M..m.. your majesty, you cannot do that to me.." The head captain froze in his post and trembled in fear hearing the words he wanted to hear the least in his life.
"Why can't I do that? You failed to stop the intruder; besides, we have a lot of work for you to do in this place," Wuhan replied calmly.
"But… but you said he was your acquaintance…"
"That does not change anything. Now you all can leave, I have other things to do." Wuhan waved his hand. Before the middle-aged man could say anything more, Shi Tzu was more than happy to drag the man out of the room after hearing his words.
*Clank!*
After everyone else left the throne room, only Wuhan and Nuo Yan were left alone inside the room. The gates of the throne room were closed once more.
Shifting his attention from the gates of the room, Wuhan turned around and looked at the seat where Nuo Yan was seated, but he was no longer in that place.
"Why did you come here?" Moving his eyes calmly through the room, he asked calmly.
"I came here because you need me here." Hearing the voice coming from behind him, Wuhan immediately turned around and saw someone standing there.
It was not Nuo Yan but a fully grown young man looking at him with his golden beast eyes.
"Noah…" Seeing the man, Wuhan uttered with heaviness in his voice. The man before him was indeed none other than Noah. With a resolved look in his eyes, he opened his mouth once more, "What… what happened to them?"
