Game of Thrones: The Red Dragon Lord

Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Interrogation

After a while, a pirate trotted over and handed two broken bows to Black Shark "Earl."

There were obvious traces of being burned by flames at the broken ends of the bow. Black Shark "Earl," who was touching the broken bow, looked at the scarred face behind him and said lightly, "It seems that a great guy has come to the island. Send someone to find him alive. Be careful; he still has three bows."

Gavin stood on the cliff, overlooking Shipwreck Bay below.

This was not a natural deep-water port as Captain Hassan had claimed. Perhaps his information was out of date.

A wide dock had been built with stones below, more than thirty ships occupying half of the space. There was even a large dock.

From Gavin's perspective, he could also catch a glimpse of some ships being built in the dock. A wooden camp was closely connected to the dock. The camp lacked walls, but wooden towers were arranged around it for warning and observation.

Suddenly, Gavin saw a group of dozens of pirates carrying weapons and leaving the town menacingly.

They spread out as they walked, and the entire pirate team was divided into three. Two teams advanced toward the island, while one team traveled along the coast, heading in Gavin's direction.

Looking at the menacing pirates, Gavin planned to move away from the opponent's base camp and then annihilate the group.

He retreated decisively, stopping from time to time, patiently tracking the pirates and ensuring their every move was under his control.

Time passed slowly. By noon, the pirates were visibly exhausted. They found a forest that could shelter them from the wind and prepared to rest there.

Seeing this, Gavin ordered the Blood Dragon Guard to sneak around behind the pirates to prevent their escape. He took his bow and arrows, bent low, and cautiously approached the group.

Perhaps due to exhaustion, or because the island was their home base, half the pirates lay on the ground unsuspectingly. The rest sat down to rest; none set up any warnings.

Gavin cocked his bow and arrow, his eyes locking onto a pirate far from the crowd. With a sharp "whoosh," the arrow shot out like lightning, hitting the pirate's neck accurately. The pirate fell to the ground before he could scream.

Before the others noticed, Gavin shot another arrow through another pirate's throat. Blood splattered onto a pirate behind him, who stood up screaming.

All the pirates' eyes instantly focused on him. At that moment, another arrow flew out and hit the screaming pirate's eye. The entire pirate team was instantly plunged into panic.

The pirates lying on the ground scrambled to their feet, hurriedly grabbing their weapons, but they couldn't see the enemy and were dazed.

Some pirates were instantly shot down by Gavin's sharp arrows before they could even raise their weapons, falling dead.

The remaining pirates, finally grasping the danger, began fleeing in panic, desperately seeking cover. But anyone attempting to escape was shot down one by one by Gavin's arrows.

Miserable screams echoed as figures trying to flee collapsed one after another.

However, two pirates took advantage of the chaos to slip into the bushes behind, trying to evade Gavin's aim.

Gavin paid them no attention. At this moment, three pirates were pinned behind trees, suppressed by his arrows and too terrified to move.

Seeing this, Gavin abandoned his bow and drew his sword without hesitation. Like a fierce wind, he rushed toward the pirates behind the trees. His intent was clear: capture some alive to extract information.

A team of more than ten pirates had been reduced to just a few in a short time. This reality plunged the three surviving pirates into overwhelming fear. Only when Gavin reached them did they attempt to fight back.

With a flash of his sword, two pirates were knocked unconscious, and the last pirate dropped to his knees in surrender.

At that moment, the Blood Dragon Guard emerged from the bushes, dragging two corpses. They also held the two pirates who had tried to escape earlier.

Gavin's eyes burned with intensity as he fixed his gaze on the kneeling pirate. His voice was stern as he warned, "From now on, I will ask questions. Don't think of lying. If you do, I'll knock you out and question your companions instead."

The pirate trembled in fear and stammered, "Sir, please forgive me! I won't lie—I swear!"

Gavin's expression was serious as he asked, "Tell me, how many people are in your camp?"

The pirate, trembling, replied, "Sir, there are probably more than two thousand people in the camp now."

Gavin frowned, continuing, "Are they all pirates?"

The pirate answered quickly, "There are hundreds of slaves bought by Black Shark 'Earl' for shipbuilding, and hundreds of natives on the island. The rest are pirates."

Gavin asked again, "Is Black Shark 'Earl' in the camp?"

The pirate nodded hurriedly. "Yes, sir. He's the one who sent us to find you."

After asking a few more questions, Gavin knocked the pirate unconscious. He then woke the other two pirates and questioned them separately, repeating the same process.

After the interrogations, Gavin had a clear understanding of the situation on the island:

This unnamed island had only one key location: Shipwreck Bay, a bay filled with reefs and cliffs that made it nearly impossible to land elsewhere. Black Shark "Earl" used this as his base camp for repairing and building ships.

Earl commanded more than 70 ships, spread across nearby islands. Only about ten pirate ships in the bay were operational. The rest were captured merchant vessels or damaged ships awaiting repair after a conflict with the Dornish.

The camp housed about 1,000 pirates, over 300 slaves purchased from Slaver's Bay for shipbuilding, and native islanders forced to serve.

Armed with this knowledge, Gavin planned his next steps. He aimed to strengthen the Blood Dragon Guard, knowing it might take a day before the pirates realized their missing team. In that time, he could prepare and act.
