jiang said, "You invited me and Xiao out for dinner. So, I'll help you sort out the office equipment, find a cleaning company, and even handle brand orders for you!"

"I don't have time tonight," Jason Liu replied, thinking of the 200 military training suits and over 100 sets of stab-resistant clothing arriving this evening. "Another day, maybe! I've got too much to do right now."

"Why not go out tonight?" Jiang insisted, unwilling to let him off the hook so easily. "Let's go to that new Wanda restaurant. I haven't been yet!"

"Can't we just wait for another day?" Jason protested. "Once I get the deliveries, I'd rather stay in, order some takeout, play games, or watch a show. Isn't that way more relaxing?"

Jiang rolled her eyes. "Two beautiful women invite you to dinner, and you're still making excuses? Are you even a man?" she teased, shaking her head in frustration.

But why did he have so much money?

This man, she thought, has all that cash just sitting in the bank, doing nothing. Shouldn't he be spending it, stimulating the economy?

In Jiang's mind, Jason's preference for a quiet night at home instead of a night out seemed almost sinful. But with a resigned sigh, Jason eventually agreed to meet her and Lin Xiaohan for dinner.

Before leaving, Jason considered offering to drive Jiang back to her office.

However, Jiang quickly declined. "Your sports car is too uncomfortable, and it's way too loud. I'd rather just take a cab! I don't want everyone in the company gossiping tomorrow about some 'rich second-generation boyfriend.'"

Jason shrugged. Since Jiang insisted on her own ride, he headed back to his warehouse to await the incoming deliveries.

Meanwhile, in her cab, Jiang was messaging Lin Xiaohan.

Jiang : "Xiao , let's go to the Wanda restaurant for dinner tonight!"

Lin Xiaohan: "Oh, seems like you made a lot today. But you better be treating us, Tutu! If you can't cover it, you'll be doing dishes, haha."

Jiang "Don't worry, it's on someone else!"

Lin Xiaohan: "Is it Jason Liu, by any chance?"

Jiang : "Bingo! This guy is a total moneybag and, honestly, pretty clueless. When I first asked him to eat with us, he actually looked reluctant, like he'd rather stay in and watch TV than hang out with two gorgeous ladies. Unbelievable!"

At her bank counter, Lin Xiaohan glanced at her phone, reading Tutu's messages with an amused smile.

She could practically picture Jason's helpless face as Jiang dragged him into the dinner plans.

Lin Xiaohan: "What's his business, anyway?"

Jiang : "Oh, it's a trading company in the high-tech zone. He's doing alright for himself."

Jiang : "For this meal, I even helped him organize his office and cleaning needs. I'm basically his unofficial assistant! Tonight, we're ordering big to make up for it!"

Lin Xiaohan: "Haha, make sure you don't fill up on snacks so you can make the most of it tonight!"

Jiang : "Trust me, I'm saving my appetite! But let me tell you a secret—Jason isn't just rich; he's loaded. He started his company with 10 million yuan in paid capital!"

Jiang : "If it weren't for the fact that we're such good friends, I'd be tempted to make a move on him myself! I feel like I'm missing out on a fortune here, haha."

Lin Xiaohan: "Wow, that's way more than I expected. He mentioned he had money but didn't need any help with loans. I assumed he was doing alright, but not that well!"

Jiang : "Exactly, Xiao Han! You should totally go for it. If you snagged him, you'd be set for life. And, as your best friend, I'd get to live a bit of the high life too!"

Lin Xiaohan: "What are you talking about? Jason and I are just classmates and friends!"

Jiang : "Yeah, sure. Guess I believe that—or do I?"

Lin Xiaohan: "Guess away. Nothing's going on, believe me."

Jiang : "Come on, Xiaohan! You used to have half the guys at university wrapped around your finger. Are you seriously telling me you can't charm a guy like him?"

Lin Xiaohan shook her head, amused but also frustrated.

Although she had a feeling Jason might like her, he never took any initiative! They'd only messaged a few times, and he hadn't even called her or suggested meeting up outside of class.

It was almost comical, his lack of interest. Jason was a single-minded guy, but when it came to relationships, he seemed completely clueless.

When Lin shared this with Jiang, her friend was equally baffled.

Jiang : "What's going on with guys these days? Have they all lost interest in pretty girls? Are games, shows, and novels all they care about now?"

Lin Xiaohan: "Right? He doesn't even try. What do you expect me to do?"

Jiang : "Take matters into your own hands! There's no way that guy could resist you if you really tried."

Lin Xiaohan: "Me? Make the first move? What if he rejects me? That'd be so embarrassing!"

Jiang : "Reject you? Are you kidding? You're gorgeous, smart, and have a great personality. Why would he say no?"

Lin Xiaohan: "Maybe he would. He seems like the type who'd turn down even a supermodel, just because he's too into his own little world!"

Jiang : "So what? If he's tough, you just have to be even more determined. And think about it—if you manage to snag him, you'd never have to worry about him getting distracted by anyone else. You'd have a totally loyal, rich, and charming guy. Isn't that a dream come true?"

Lin Xiaohan let out a little laugh, feeling both amused and exasperated.

Lin Xiaohan: "Alright, alright, we'll see what happens. What time should I pick you up tonight after work?"
