However, Bai Zhongqi felt some resistance, as this woman who seemed to have become a true life form and even mastered Star Energy would become a lab rat under the hands of a group of researchers. Even without understanding a shred about the substance or technology of the Crimson Gemstone, Bai Zhongqi could accept such an outcome. Nonetheless, his mind inevitably raced with thoughts of what would happen if he understood how the Soul Stone functioned, continually creating artificial souls to combine with bionic humans that could be produced almost without limitation.

Even though these bionic humans still might not be able to procreate, their biggest flaw—lack of creativity and subjective consciousness—had been filled.

Bai Zhongqi didn't need to think deeply to understand what this signified.

Yet, a negative panic was also bound to come, and even with the suppression of Supreme Command, both Iridium Star people and Earthlings would be fearful. Their meaning of existence would be negated by these souled bionic humans. Bionic humans with subjective initiative could become competitors to humans, even potentially posing a great threat.

"How can you be like this?" The dissatisfaction in the woman's tone was clear.

Bai Zhongqi was clearly not adept at dealing with a beautiful woman throwing a tantrum, and in a rush, he thought of a name and blurted out, "Zero, how about that? A very cool name."

"That's clearly a number. You're really not taking this seriously," she complained.

Bai Zhongqi explained, "You went from having no soul to having a soul. Zero sounds like 'soul' in Chinese, and it also represents the starting point where positive and negative numbers extend from. Starting today, you will begin to create a life never before lived, a true life."

It must be said that the Chancellor's aptitude for concocting and making far-fetched connections was quite good. The woman thought about it and then smiled, saying, "Since it's a name you've chosen, then I suppose I'll go by that."

Bai Zhongqi smiled gently and extended his hand to shake hers, saying, "Nice to meet you, Miss Zero."

Zero looked at him, her face blushing, and said, "Your Majesty, you're very handsome."

Bai Zhongqi felt awkward again and didn't know how to respond, so he sent her off to write the report and stayed in his own room, researching the second piece of the Crimson Gemstone.

Compared to the first Crimson Gemstone, the function of the second one was much more straightforward. The Homeland Stone was something that provided people with a place to live.

When Bai Zhongqi connected to the Homeland Stone, information about the Crimson Gemstone appeared in his mind. It contained 177,542 square kilometers of land, and unsurprisingly, this land was situated in an artificial ecosystem similar to the Martian underground world, with all the land flat and devoid of any mountains, vegetation, or animals.

The existence of an artificial ecosystem within a space-folded gemstone was already astonishing enough. What shocked Bai Zhongqi even more was everything he discovered after he looked into the information of the Homeland Stone in detail.

After reading all this, Bai Zhongqi couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine.

"These features, damn, are like those in a game's map editor, right? Could the Homeland Stone be something similar to my game saves? Could there be some kind of connection between the Elder Race and my game?" These thoughts haunted him and began to trouble Bai Zhongqi.

But the Chancellor, who had a good disposition and was extremely calm, quickly settled himself down. Even if his world was truly just a game like that of Iridium Star, it wasn't something he could control. Whoever controlled the game was beyond his understanding and wouldn't even come into contact with him. He was still himself, and life needed to go on.

"Regardless, this Homeland Stone is a useful thing; its construction capability even surpasses the technology of Iridium Star. In just one day, I could plan out a fully-equipped administrative district with various living, industrial, and military capabilities.
