Bai Zhongqi was in an awkward position now, he had just asked Sacred Falcon to put her clothes back on, but now he had stripped the artificial intelligence's humanoid form bare again.

Fortunately, he had already paused the operation of Sacred Falcon. This tall, athletic figure, lethally beautiful female artificial intelligence, at least in appearance, had already fallen into "slumber."

He repeatedly reminded himself not to look too much at this tempting female body. Yet, he still caught glimpses unintentionally, convinced it was the most perfect body he had ever seen. Golden ratio, no excess flesh, every inch of skin was radiant, as beautiful as a goddess in an imagined painting.

Overcome with curiosity, Bai Zhongqi couldn't resist touching her arm. The warm body temperature, the smooth skin, and the feel of muscle and fat all confirmed that this was a living, beautiful woman. But Bai Zhongqi was also acutely aware that although it had all the structures to mimic a human body, this body was not made up of DNA, but rather carbon-based bionic cells.

It did not possess any genetic material, yet it had extremely high material strength and could perform all sorts of unimaginable feats.

A mechanical arm extended from the side, slicing open the chest cavity of Sacred Falcon's body. Blood flowed out, an indeed frightening sight. This synthetic blood was an indispensable conveyor within the bionic human's body, transmitting oxygen and energy.

Under normal circumstances, the programmed bionic cells would automatically repair themselves, but Bai Zhongqi had temporarily halted this function to continue the operation.

An operation conducted entirely by himself, without the involvement of any Iridium Star scientific researchers.

Bai Zhongqi was very clear about what he was doing; he was trying to create a real person.

He had always been curious about the difference between bionic humans and real people. The Soul Stone obtained from the ruins of the Elder Race made him want to test whether there really was such a thing as a soul and whether a bionic human with a soul would become a real person.

This seemed like a philosophical question, but it was enough for Bai Zhongqi to obtain more information through experimentation about life, the universe, and the Elder Race.

Each Crimson Gemstone was actually a complete piece of hardware with software drivers that could operate automatically. Through contact with it, Bai Zhongqi had fully understood how this Crimson Gemstone should be used—to embed it within a soulless body to create a person with a soul.

Bai Zhongqi did not understand why the Elder Race had created such a thing and for what purpose it was originally made, but now he was eager to see what would happen if he embedded this gemstone into the humanoid form of Sacred Falcon.

He first conducted a major overhaul on Sacred Falcon's body. This body was, in fact, always operating as an avatar. The true body of Sacred Falcon was the Battleship Cruiser; her various memories, even her self-consciousness, were stored on the warship, and the computational system was also that of the warship's.

This body was simply executing actions in response to signals sent from the warship's artificial intelligence.

For the experiment, Bai Zhongqi even used the most powerful storage medium at the current stage of Iridium Star, a biocomposite grade quantum computer, to rebuild the humanoid form of Sacred Falcon, making her true body a human one rather than a ship body.

This was essentially a body modification, only more complex and powerful than the modifications Bai Zhongqi had previously done on himself.

After the bionic human modification of Sacred Falcon was completed, Bai Zhongqi placed the Crimson Gemstone inside her chest cavity. Since the volume of the heart in her body was very small, the gemstone actually looked more like a heart inside the chest cavity. By adjusting, Bai Zhongqi caused the bionic cells in her body to form new body tissues, connecting to this Crimson Gemstone.

Once the synchronization program between the Crimson Gemstone and the bionic body was set, Bai Zhongqi, using a medical mechanical arm, quickly created bionic cell tissues and stitched Sacred Falcon's opened chest cavity, leaving no trace whatsoever.

However, after the suturing was completed and he saw the two naturally flattened peaks with two distinct pink gemstones resting on them, Bai Zhongqi felt slightly embarrassed once more.

"Bring the Sacred Falcon back online," Bai Zhongqi issued the Supreme Command, and the Sacred Falcon rebooted.

The woman lying in the bed opened her eyes again, and just as she did, Bai Zhongqi was quite certain a faint red light flickered across her body and vanished in an instant.

"Welcome back. Do you feel anything different?" Bai Zhongqi asked with concern.

The strikingly beautiful woman with wheat-colored skin sat up in bed, turned her head, and looked steadily at Bai Zhongqi, sending a chill down his spine.

Suddenly, she leaned in and her soft lips pressed against Bai Zhongqi's. He wasn't sure if it was his imagination or not, but the female scent briefly filled his nostrils. Just as he felt something warm and full about to draw closer, he immediately stepped back, breaking free from the kiss.

Seeing the wariness on Bai Zhongqi's face, the woman smiled, stood naked before him, and curtsied, "Thank you, Your Majesty, for granting me new life."

Bai Zhongqi felt slightly relieved only after sensing that his Supreme Command still had full operational authority over her. But at the same time, he realized something; artificial intelligence and bionic humans do not possess initiative.

They won't do anything more than they're told unless they're programmed with specific instructions to carry out an abstract command, in which case they might improvise.

However, Bai Zhongqi had definitely not given the Sacred Falcon an order to kiss him. Thus, there was only one explanation—she decided to kiss him on her own.

Bai Zhongqi still wasn't clear about what had happened, so he remained cautious and asked, "Do you feel any different?"

The smile on Sacred Falcon's face continued as she opened her arms and replied, "Everything is different. I can feel the world now, truly feel it!"

She said with a smile, "To put it accurately, I have developed subjective cognition. Although I could observe the entirety of the world before, my cognition was realized through human perception. Now, I perceive the world on my own. It feels like the entire world has presented itself before me in a brand new way."

Bai Zhongqi still couldn't quite understand, and what happened next nearly caused his eyes to pop out of their sockets.

In the open palms of the Sacred Falcon, a fluctuating liquid suddenly emerged, quickly transformed into a flame, then into leaves, into soil, into metal, and finally, vanished into nothingness as she closed her hand.

"This, this is Star Energy?" Bai Zhongqi immediately recognized the miraculous existence that could change matter and energy; there could be nothing else but Star Energy.

The Sacred Falcon's smile carried a divine aura that Bai Zhongqi found sacred as she gently said, "This? It's probably a little gift from my newfound perception of the world."
