Chapter 192: Arrival of the Troops
Two important pieces of information spread throughout the entire Star Wind Kingdom.
One was about Fredrinn's promotion to Great General. This garnered the attention of the military and the martial households.
Now that Fredrinn had become a Great General, his position in the kingdom had become unshakable. He was no longer just a talented genius of the younger generation, but a true powerhouse who could command the winds and clouds within the kingdom!
The second news was more explosive that it shocked the entire populace- the princess was being married to Fredrinn!
…
It has been two weeks since Fredrinn was promoted to Great General, but the number of people who came to visit the estate to congratulate him didn't decrease.
At this moment, he was overseeing the training of the soldiers when a servant came to his side and whispered something.
"They're here?" Fredrinn's eyes lit up upon hearing the servant's words.
"Yes, my lord! Our scouts spotted them one kilometer from the estate. They should be here any time soon." The servant confirmed.
"Good! Great job! You may go." Fredrinn motioned to the servant to leave.
"Yes, my lord!"
After the guy left, Fredrinn called Argus and told him to supervise the soldiers' training.
He then left and headed to the entrance of the estate with Nix to welcome their visitors.
When he got promoted, he sent a letter to Ulysses and the other commanding officers of the troops he commanded in the northern borders. He told them to gather the soldiers and bring everyone to the estate.
That's right…
Fredrinn planned to form a new army with them as the core force!
Soon, the two arrived at the main entrance of the estate.
Fredrinn stood atop the walls and used his spiritual perception.
A moment later, he discovered a large group of people marching towards them.
'Not all of them came, but there's still over a hundred thousand who have come.' Fredrinn wasn't disappointed by this.
Everyone has different paths in life. He didn't want to force those who had no interest in working for him.
'I'm surprised that Ulric is with them. I thought that guy would be the first one to reject my call.' Fredrinn grinned when he saw Ulric among them.
The guy was known for his strong pride and unusual prejudice against the martial households.
Considering his personality, Fredrinn thought that Ulric wouldn't listen to his call.
He never expected that the guy would come all the way here with the rest.
"Wait here, Nix. I'll go and meet them." Fredrinn muttered before he jumped down from the top of the wall and landed gracefully on the ground.
He then summoned the Barbaric Blade Pegasus and jumped on its back, squeezing his legs to urge the pegasus to move forward.
With a loud snort, the pegasus dashed and moved like a mirage. It was so fast that it left a series of afterimages in its wake.
It didn't even take long for them to reach the location of the troops.
"That pegasus… it's Great General Fredrinn!"
"The Great General is here to welcome us!"
The soldiers quickly discovered the pegasus. It was too conspicuous for them not to notice.
Fredrinn patted the pegasus' body and told it to slow down.
The commanding officers quickly gathered before him and gave him a snappy salute. "Greetings, Great General Fredrinn! We are deeply honored to work under your leadership!"
Fredrinn's lips curved upwards when he saw their familiar faces.
"Thank you for answering my call, everyone!" He cupped his fists and slightly tilted his head to show how grateful he was.
The soldiers were moved by this scene. He was already a great military figure, but he was still humble and polite. This was also one of the reasons why they didn't hesitate to come here.
"Let's go inside the estate first. I haven't prepared your accommodations yet. I hope you'll forgive my lack of hospitality." Fredrinn muttered apologetically.

He had been so busy in the last two weeks since his promotion. He had to take care of the visitors who came to congratulate him. Furthermore, he also had to prepare for his engagement with the princess.
He didn't even have plenty of time to rest. If he wasn't a 9th Layer Nascent Soul martial practitioner, he would have already collapsed from exhaustion.
"That's not an issue, Great General! We brought our equipment with us so we can just sleep in our tents temporarily." Ulysses.
(Note: always tend to misspell his name. The correct spelling here should be Ulysses. Let me know if I ever misspell his name again.)
They were soldiers who had gone through hell in the northern borders. They could even sleep in the middle of the rain so having no accommodation wasn't a problem to these veterans.
"Don't worry, I will have the workers speed up the construction of your new home. You can also bring your family to the estate once the buildings are built. I guarantee that they will get a job. For your children and descendants, they will receive education from the household's top teachers and instructors." Fredrinn promised them.
For these loyal soldiers, he didn't mind spending more money. They fully deserved it.
Everyone's eyes lit up upon hearing his words.
"Thank you for your generosity, Great General Fredrinn!"
The soldiers cheered in unison. Most of them were from commoner households so it was a bit hard to gather money to buy their own houses.
Fredrinn solved this issue for them and he was even willing to accommodate their families. Where could they find a generous leader like him in this cruel, war-ridden continent?
Fredrinn smiled lightly. "Let's go, everyone! We have a lot of things to do."
When the guards garrisoned at the top of the walls saw the large army coming towards the estate, they were immediately on high alert.
"It's Lord Fredrinn! He is with them!"
"Oh my god! Is that Lord Fredrinn's troops?!"
"Just how many of them are there?!"
