Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 139: Chapter 139: The Battle Pauses, Disaster Diverts East

"So many… treasures!"

Karna deftly dodged another barrage of flying weapons, his brows furrowing in surprise.

He had seen many powerful techniques before, but this was his first time encountering someone who literally threw treasures at their opponent. The sheer extravagance of such an approach left him momentarily stunned.

Having never watched the Q&A group's recorded videos, Karna was unfamiliar with Gilgamesh's abilities.

"Ding! Ding! Clang! Clang!"

Karna quickly adapted, spinning his spear in smooth arcs as he deflected the incoming Noble Phantasms.

"Hahaha! Not bad! But still far from enough," Gilgamesh sneered, his voice dripping with condescension. "Chain of Heaven, bind him!"

A storm of golden chains erupted from the Gate of Babylon, snaking through the air toward Karna.

Although Karna didn't recognize the Enkidu chains or their full capabilities, his instincts screamed danger. One glance at Gilgamesh's confident smirk was enough for him to conclude that he couldn't afford to let himself be caught.

Leaping backward, Karna retreated rapidly, dodging the chains that continued to pursue him with relentless precision.

For the moment, Karna was forced onto the defensive, unable to fight back effectively.

The balance of power in their rivalry was clear. Among the "Golden Trio," their abilities created a peculiar cycle of restraint:

Gilgamesh's Enkidu chains were a nightmare for those with high levels of divinity, making him especially effective against Karna.

Karna's divine golden armor nullified most damage from sun-related attacks, allowing him to suppress Ozymandias.

Ozymandias' Temple of the Sun was uniquely capable of countering Gilgamesh's Ea, neutralizing its devastating power.

This balance of advantages was based on their treasures rather than their overall strength. Still, it meant that Karna, with his A-rank divinity, was at a distinct disadvantage against Gilgamesh in their current matchup.

---

"Oppressors! Feel my rage!"

Spartacus roared and charged forward, his massive club swinging down with terrifying force.

Diarmuid stepped in to intercept him, his twin spears gleaming. The Irish knight had a point to prove after his humiliating defeat during the Fourth Holy Grail War.

However, Diarmuid had chosen the wrong opponent.

Spartacus' immense endurance and durability rendered Diarmuid's attacks nearly ineffective. Neither the yellow spear of Anti-Curse nor the red spear of Anti-Wounds could inflict meaningful damage.

Faced with Spartacus' relentless strength, Diarmuid had no choice but to adopt hit-and-run tactics, using his agility to avoid direct confrontation while landing small, precise strikes whenever possible.

Chihiro, observing the battle from a distance, had initially considered warning Diarmuid about Spartacus' abilities. However, seeing the Irish knight's strategy of "scraping while flying the kite," he decided there was no need to interfere.

Meanwhile, Artoria, Qin Shi Huang, and Hassan of the Hundred-Face stayed by Chihiro's side, choosing not to join the fray.

Despite starting with the numerical advantage, the Red Team had suddenly found themselves at a disadvantage. The addition of Chihiro's summoned Servants had completely turned the tide.

The battle raged on, a chaotic stalemate that stretched into the early hours of dawn.

---

At last, a signal came from Kotomine Shirou, ordering the Red Faction to retreat.

"Stand down," Chihiro commanded his summoned Servants as he noticed the Red Team's movements.

It was a simple but unspoken rule: battles ceased during the daytime to avoid unnecessary attention from the outside world.

"Hahaha! Achilles, let's finish this next time," Iskandar called out as he withdrew.

"Looking forward to it," Achilles replied with a grin.

Atalanta, standing atop Achilles' chariot, glared fiercely at Bluebeard.

"Next time, I'll kill you for sure!" she declared, seething with frustration. Bluebeard's seemingly endless mana reserves had allowed him to summon wave after wave of sea monsters, making it impossible for her to overwhelm him.

Bluebeard smirked disdainfully. "I have no interest in engaging with a woman who fails to appreciate true art."

With that, the Red Team's Servants disappeared into spirit form, retreating from the battlefield.

---

As the golden rays of the rising sun spread across the horizon, the exhausted Servants and their Master settled down to rest, sitting on the grass as they admired the dawn.

Gilgamesh, ever impatient, broke the silence. "Chihiro, how did you travel to this world?"

Chihiro gave him a sideways glance. "Why should I tell you?"

The King of Heroes bristled at the response. "You insolent fool! Do you have a death wish?!"

"Relax," Chihiro replied calmly. "Don't forget, I'm your Master right now."

Gilgamesh scoffed. "Hah! You think this pathetic contract gives you the right to command me? Don't delude yourself."

Qin Shi Huang's cold, calculating demeanor betrayed a glimmer of curiosity. "Still, I admit I am intrigued. How did you come to this world?"

Artoria, sitting quietly nearby, tilted her head, her curiosity evident. "Hmm?"

Realizing he was unlikely to avoid the question, Chihiro smirked and began spinning an elaborate tale.

"This is called the Qillin Seal of Divine Authority, the most prized artifact of Mount Koya's magical community," he began. "Thousands of years ago, it was forged by the collaborative efforts of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors using extraterrestrial crystals. This relic allows its wielder to traverse across worlds…"

The Servants listened intently, nodding along as if his explanation was completely plausible.

Chihiro maintained an air of absolute confidence as he wove his story, his tone smooth and convincing. Even Qin Shi Huang seemed momentarily lost in thought, pondering whether any ancient texts in his empire's archives might contain references to such a relic.

Gilgamesh, for his part, appeared skeptical at first. However, recalling Chihiro's uncanny luck, even the King of Heroes grudgingly admitted that it wasn't entirely implausible.

---

"Alright, we should get moving," Chihiro announced, standing up and dusting himself off. His voice snapped everyone out of their thoughts.

Qin Shi Huang nodded. "Agreed. How shall we travel?"

The First Emperor had his Divine Wheel, which allowed him to transform into spirit form and evade detection. However, it wasn't equipped to carry so many people.

"Don't worry," Chihiro replied with a smirk. "Let me demonstrate."

He tossed out the Qillin Seal, and with a flash of light, a sleek golden-red vehicle appeared before them.

The car's luxurious design immediately caught Gilgamesh's attention.

"Hoh… This is a fine chariot," he remarked, his golden eyes gleaming with approval.

The vehicle was clearly styled to perfection, its aesthetics aligning with the King of Heroes' taste.

---

Despite having the car, space remained a problem. With nine people present, the car could only accommodate five at most.

Artoria quickly summoned her twin-wheeled chariot, a motorcycle perfect for the situation.

"How could I forget?" Iskandar muttered, summoning the sleek motorcycle he had confiscated from Waver during the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Not to be outdone, Gilgamesh retrieved a golden motorcycle of his own, a custom-made vehicle commissioned from Tokiomi Tohsaka during the same war.

In the end, everyone found a way to squeeze in. Artoria offered Jeanne a ride on her motorcycle, while Iskandar graciously allowed Diarmuid to accompany him.

As for Bluebeard, the unfortunate Caster was left to awkwardly perch on the back of the car.

With their makeshift convoy assembled, the group departed for Trifas, their destination clear.

---

Meanwhile, at the church, Kotomine Shirou sat in deep thought.

"This is becoming a problem," he muttered, lying back against Semiramis' lap with one hand covering his eyes.

Chihiro's arrival wasn't unexpected, but the summoning of seven powerful Servants had thrown the Holy Grail War into complete chaos.

"Perhaps we should gather all our forces and deal with him first," Semiramis suggested, her voice smooth and gentle as she stroked Shirou's chest.

"No," Shirou replied firmly. "Such an action would cost us dearly. The Black Faction would only take advantage of the situation."

"Then what do we do?" she asked.

Shirou smirked faintly. "Simple—we muddy the waters.."

"Muddy the waters?"

"Yes," Shirou explained. "Chihiro and his Servants threaten not only us but the Black Faction as well. All we need to do is pit them against each other."

"And if the Black Faction sees through this?"

Shirou chuckled. "That doesn't matter. It'll come down to who has the better strategy."
