Renegotiation III
With the fight going to happen, Jun snapped his fingers and the scenery around everyone suddenly changed into a barren plane.
"What the-!?" Along with multiple other exclamations of shock and surprise could be heard from all around.
"I took the liberty of creating this little dimension for our little . . . Well, calling it a duel would be too serious and you're not competent enough for a spar so . . . Bullying session?" Jun grinned.
With those words, everyone just looked at him in awe, fear and shock, even his supposed opponents.
After all, he had literally create an entire dimension, even if a small one, with a single snap of his fingers. Such a feat was on the level of a powerful Longinus class sacred gear yet Jun did it without any gear and with apparent ease.
"Well then, let us move away from the bystanders shall we?" Jun suggested as he slowly walked away.
His three opponents walked off in a different direction so that they would end up far from both the audience and Jun.
The moment they took some distance, a dome of magecraft formed around the audience as a form of protection, something which they had understood Jun did.
"Won't having to maintain this dimension and even our defensive barrier put Jun-san at a disadvantage?" Sae innocently asked with worry.
Asako was swift to respond.
"There is no need for any concern such a minor effort from Jun-sama will not influence the result in the slightest." She spoke as if but a matter of course.
The two opposing parties faced off.
Jun smirked as he used Beyond Nothingness: Crossing into Creation, which could be said to be the very pinnacle of all Mana Burst type skills.
He didn't attack, just materialized a prismatic colored storm of magical energy with heat values rivalling that of the dawn of creation, even if at a much smaller scale.
The sheer oppression from the release of magical energy that was pumped out endlessly from within Jun's Apokalypsis Heart made the entire dimension creak.
While the viewers inside their barrier could only see the effects happening, the three unfortunate sacrifices that deemed it possible to actually put up a fight against Jun, were feeling it in their own bodies.
Byakko and Ouryuu were both physical fighters of the highest degree with the the latter also being a master Shito Spellcaster but Seiryuu was mostly a spell based fighter.
The moment they felt the promise of a crushing defeat from the sheer might Jun was emanating, Byakko and Ouryuu channeled the power of their Sacred Best, turning into a humanoid White Tiger and Humanoid Golden Dragon respectively.
Seiryuu who lacked this ability could only summon the aura of the Azure Dragon to protect himself but despite the considerable distance he had from Jun, he was still feeling breathless and restrained.
Gone from all three were thoughts of winning.
All they hoped for now, was to at least put on a showing that could not be considered too humiliating.
The truth of the matter however, was that what everyone thought to be an intimidation tactic by Jun, was simply a lack of control on his part over his Mana Burst skill.
It was so powerful and so efficient, that even normally insignificant fluctuations in Jun's magical energy caused huge bursts of power and since he had yet to get much practice with this extremely powerful new Mana Burst of his, the power leaked towards the surroundings.
While this was not that big of a problem for this particular fight, it meant that using this Mana Burst while having allies or bystanders nearby would be quite disastrous.
And so, while his opponents were fretting over the huge amount of power Jun was outputting, he was actually trying to figure out how to properly wield it.
His massive leap in power after he had become a dragon once again totally unbalancing the rigorous control and precision he had after his training with Scathach.
In fact, Jun could see a beatdown in his future if his strict master was there to see his current showing. When fighting someone like Scathach, he had learned that skill and control were much more valuable that extreme but raw and untamed power.
Jun internally sighed, resigning himself to another round of harsh training to get his rampaging power back into his utter and complete control.
For now though, he deactivated his Mana Burst as with his current grasp over it, a light careless attack would probably obliterate his opponents which was not at all what Jun was going for.
The disappearance of the overbearing pressure left everyone confused and as Jun didn't want to harm his prestige by revealing the truth, he simply said.
"From how you reacted, I immediately realized that was a bit of an overkill so I rethought my fighting method just so you can actually do something before you lose." He claimed with a voice like he had done the three a huge favor and should be thanked for his kindness.
Of course, everyone took it as Jun trying to show his opponents their place and not that he couldn't properly control his own power.
Instead, Jun decided to fight with his Ideal Craft. This ultra advanced for of magecraft actualized with blinding speed as Jun could use his Innate Mystery to will it into existence would be more than enough to teach his opponents a lesson and his control over it was perfect so no accident should occur.
"So are you just going to stare or are you actually going to make a move?" Jun questioned.
His initial showing of power had unsettled his foes so much that their thought processes had become sluggish but the taunt woke them up from their stupor.
They didn't mindlessly charge however.
Seiryuu launched himself into the air with the power of wind and conjured a massive storm, pooling his power and redying himself to support the two main attackers.
Ouryuu, in his golden Dragon Man form, began using his powers that allowed him to draw colossal amounts of energy from the earth by tapping into underground ley lines that were also known as Dragon Veins.
Jun could actually stop him as the entire dimension they were on was under his control but he let it happen as he both wanted Ouryuu to be fully convinced of his loss with his peak strength crushed and he was simply curious as to how powerful he actually was.
Byakko it his humanoid White Tiger form guarded in front of his companion in case Jun decided to attack before he was finished accumulating power.
Jun wanted to see their full power but also felt it deeply insulting that they thought he'd let them carefreely power up in front of him without doing a thing so he decided to teach them a little lesson . . .
He pointed a finger gun at Byakko whose intincs flared, screaming at him to move but he staunchly held position in front of Ouryuu.
As a magical circle matrix flashed in front of Jun's finger, he wondered whether to praise his courage or mock his foolishness as a beam of magical energy shot towards Byakko, too fast for him to doge even if his mind changed.
The White Tiger inheritor crossed his arms in front of his chest and prepared to take the hit for Ouryuu.
The thing was, Ideal Craft adapted to nullify enemy strength and prey on their weaknesses so defending against it is utterly impossible unless one's defence is truly flawless.
Byakko's wasn't.
The beam hit right where his arms crossed, obliterating them and opening a huge hole on his chest before curving upward so as to not hit Ouryuu behind him.
As Byakko fell down in critical condition, Jun spoke.
"Next time, power up faster."
Then with a bit of spatial manipulation, he sent Byakko into the barrier and gave Asako some orders before turning his attention back to his opponents.
Asako grabbed an elixir Jun provided to all his subordinates that originated from Aurea Poculum and she poured a bit onto Byakko, resulted in the hole in his chest closing up and his arms being regrown.
Those around could only stare in awe and wonder what other miraculous means Jun and his people possessed but they could clearly see that even his supposed Team was shocked and didn't know just how deep his reserves were.
It only left them curious to how much he was hiding and who was Asako to have his trust.
Ouryuu and Seiryuu however, had no idea of what happened inside the barrier and thought their companion had been crippled or possibly even killed.
It frightened them, how simple and easy it was for Jun to do it but it also sparked their rage far better than any mocking could, the two remaining Sacred Beast Inheritors were out for blood and vengeance . . .
The real question however, was . . . Would that make a difference?
