Fate: Emiya the Host

Chapter 129: The Spinning Thrust of the Blue Lancer

Under the sky thick with gloom, smoke and dust rose everywhere.

With the naked eye, one could see the houses up ahead rumbling as they sank into the earth.

Not the collapse of an earthquake, but more like being torn apart as if made of paper, destroyed effortlessly by some power.

And it was drawing closer and closer.

This sign meant Dog Bro had already lured Uncle B over.

At the same time, he had completed his task.

Taking two of Uncle B's lives.

Adding the one Shirou had taken with the Spiral Sword.

That meant right now, nine more deaths were still needed.

"He's here!", Even without Shirou reminding her, Mash could feel the terrifying pressure radiating from Uncle B's body.

Completely different from Medusa, on another level entirely.

Cu Chulainn appeared in the sky above the school, lithe yet still carrying an effortless grace.

With the exhilaration of battle in his voice, he called out, "Master, it's fine to leave the rest to you two, right?"

"If you can sit still."

Just as the word "of cou—" left his lips, Dog Bro realized his legs were seized by immense force, "You've got to be kidding?"

His eyelids twitched madly, and he turned back with a voice that almost sounded like he wanted to negotiate, "Just two lives, not enough to warrant this, right?"

"ROAR!"

On Cu Chulainn's face, still forcing a smile, Uncle B bellowed in fury, yanking him out of the air by both legs, spinning, thrusting.

"AHHHHHHH!"

Amid Dog Bro's scream, he was fired like a cannonball straight at Shirou and Mash.

"So he finally shows himself?", Even though he had expected it, actually seeing it left Shirou with emotions too hard to put into words.

'Looks like giving Dog Bro the spear was a mistake.'

Not even the noble Magus could save spear-happy Dog Bro.

Without the slightest hesitation, Shirou barked an order to Mash, cold and fast, "Dodge, Mash!"

"Got it!", Mash obeyed instantly.

The second before the blue Lancer came crashing down, one jumped left, the other right, both leaping away from where they stood.

BANG!

Cu Chulainn's face hit the ground, half his body smashing deep into it.

"AHHHHHH!"

Uncle B let out a victorious roar, then fixed his gaze back on Shirou.

The meaning was obvious, 'You'll end up the same way.'

Shirou said nothing, projecting Kanshou and Bakuya.

In a flash, the twin blades were hurled.

Uncle B dodged nimbly, and in a great stride arrived before Shirou.

The nameless axe-sword came slashing down with unstoppable force.

"Emiya-senpai!", Mash cried out in alarm, wanting to rush forward to block it.

Shirou calmly shifted his body aside.

At the instant the axe-sword fell, he thrust the newly projected Kanshou and Bakuya into Uncle B's wrist.

Then when Uncle B's left fist came barreling down, Shirou ducked low, bending, and with a reverse grip stabbed into his left hand again.

"ROAR!"

Shirou's movements were flawless, yet the mighty Heracles once more abandoned his weapon, his fists pounding like boulders hurled by a catapult, ferocious and savage.

BOOM!

The cement tiles cracked open with massive fissures under the aftershock.

"Emiya-senpai!", Mash's face went pale.

Just now, Shirou had taken Heracles's full-strength blow.

Even she might not withstand it, let alone a human.

"I'm fine," A firm voice drifted out from the smoke.

Shirou drew a deep breath, suppressing the pain as he threw out Kanshou and Bakuya, unleashing Crane Wing Three Consecutive Attacks.

"Crane wings, without opening;" The thrown twin swords traced a beautiful arc through the air, circling back.

"Spirit and technique, crossing the Yellow River;" The swords in his hands combined with the returning blades to strike in unison.

"Name, ending in a different heaven;" The blades flashed back with unmatched speed.

Heracles deftly avoided Kanshou from behind, and at the same time lifted the nameless axe-sword, shattering the Bakuya in Shirou's hands.

The sheer force of the strike forced Shirou to summon his armor for a second defense.

Even so, the A+ strength nearly sent him flying.

The ground itself collapsed under the crushing weight!

The pain grew sharper.

Through sheer willpower, Shirou kept his face steady, his movements unbroken, continuing to advance.

With twisting evasions, he projected one last pair of Kanshou and Bakuya.

"Two rivals, sharing a life."

Like wings spreading wide, the black and white blades slashed at Heracles from left and right.

RIPPP!

The blades tore open skin as hard as steel.

Like iron clashing against iron.

The Twelve Labors.

Immunity to all physical and magical attacks of rank B or lower, truly a fleshly armor worthy of the name.

Shirou's successive strikes, to Heracles, may as well have been tickling.

But Shirou himself hadn't pinned his hopes on those blows. He suddenly retreated, opening distance.

"Mash, don't come!", Shirou shouted.

Though it seemed long, in reality the charge had lasted only an instant.

Seeing Shirou fall back, Heracles pressed forward, the nameless axe-sword gripped horizontally in his right hand, already cleaving down.

With sheer muscle alone, no magical energy at all, he split the very air.

"Broken Phantasm!"

Every blade embedded in Heracles's body lit up with blinding white light.

In the instant the armor spread across his body, a tremendous explosion erupted with scorching heat.

Heracles's body melted into that heat in an instant.

"Ugh!"

Mash, who had just arrived nearby to join the fight, was almost blown away by the force.

She had no choice but to jam her shield into the ground, holding back the storm at point-blank range.

'Too fast!'

From Heracles's assault to Shirou's detonation, perhaps only five seconds had passed.

Yet in those five seconds, one side displayed the demigod's unmatched strength and indestructible defense.

The other displayed superb skill, and the courage to face a hero without a trace of fear.

Such a breathtaking sight stirred stormy waves in the hearts of Fujimaru Ritsuka and Olga Marie.

"Amazing, Emiya-senpai," Fujimaru Ritsuka murmured in awe. Dreaming of one day reaching that level herself.

Olga Marie only became more convinced of her suspicion.

'With a freak like this, who would dare seal him away?'

Only Mash, struggled bitterly within the storm.

Who could understand, the experience of a rookie tossed into a high-level boss's battlefield?

'I can't do it. I can't do anything!'
