Jellal launched the huge, black hole–like sphere toward Su Yan.
Su Yan waved his hand, and the massive fist formed by his Conqueror's Haki collided with the black hole.
"Crack Crack!!!"
Black-red lightning flared where the black hole–like sphere and Su Yan's Haki fist met.
"Boom----!!!"
The entire Tower of Heaven trembled violently, as if struck by a magnitude-strong earthquake.
After a moment, the shaking subsided. Su Yan remained unscathed—his body was simply too abnormal.
Meanwhile, Jellal's abdomen churned, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood. He was already injured from Su Yan's earlier punch. When magic power is high enough, it provides strong defensive power around the body, but Su Yan's previous attack had been too strong.
Seeing this move fail, Jellal's expression grew uglier.
"Meteor!!"
His body streaked through the air like a meteor once more.

Su Yan's Conqueror's Haki erupted suddenly, slamming into Jellal.

"Ughhhh!" Jellal screamed, flung aside.
"Pfft!" He spat blood as the wound on his body worsened.

Jellal roared. He pointed a finger at Su Yan, sending a stream of starlight at him.

Su Yan didn't dodge or even react, choosing instead to release another surge of Conqueror's Haki at Jellal.
"Boom boom boom!!"
The starlight struck Su Yan, causing an explosion that shredded nearly all his clothes, revealing the solid muscles beneath. But Jellal took the brunt of Su Yan's returning Haki blast.
"Wow ah ah!" Jellal howled in pain, injuries mounting as he crashed into the distance.
"Great! Su Yan won!" Lucy cried excitedly, watching him knock Jellal away.
Suddenly, the sky changed color. A giant golden magic circle appeared above the clouds over the Tower of Heaven, layers of additional circles spreading outward in the sky.
Noticing this, Jellal's expression turned ecstatic.
"Hahaha! It's here! Finally here!"
Everyone else looked on in horror.
Lucy trembled. "That...that's..."
"Etherion," Erza said, her voice unsteady. "So it's true. The Magic Council really plans to strike here..."
Even Erza's body quivered. Facing a force said to be able to destroy an entire country in a single blow, no one could remain calm.
Even Su Yan grew very serious.
Etherion was rumored to demolish a kingdom with one hit—effectively leveling the Kingdom of Fiore. That made it a weapon of ultimate human power, and Su Yan wasn't confident he could withstand it.
Yet in that moment, a new resolve burned within Su Yan. If he couldn't confront even this, how would he ever challenge the Black Dragon Acnologia in the future?

A terrifying wave of Conqueror's Haki poured out of Su Yan's body.

Everyone stared at him. Was he intending to fight Etherion? That seemed impossible.

"Hah! How foolish—just a mere human daring to go against Etherion!" Jellal sneered. "You'd better pray the R-System can complete itself, or there's no chance any of us survive!"
"Shut up!!" Erza shouted at Jellal.
Su Yan ignored him, focusing wholly on the Haki sword forming above him, continuously pouring Conqueror's Haki into it.
He didn't believe in fate, nor in blindly following any scripted outcome—only in his own power.

"The final launch preparations for Etherion are ready."
"Satellite Magic Array, activate!!"
"Thirty seconds until Etherion is launched... nine, eight, seven..."

A colossal energy surge flared from the Satellite Magic Array. This bullet of energy was Etherion, transmitted here through the satellite circle.
It was like a second sun rising into the night, illuminating everything like daytime.

Su Yan bellowed. The huge Haki sword over his head speared straight into the sky.

On the Magic Council's large screen, they saw a gigantic purple sword shooting from the Tower of Heaven toward the Etherion in the sky.
