EVIL SYSTEM

Chapter 72: Butcher

Ben was walking down a dark alley. Obviously, a wanted gang wouldn't be on the main street, but in reality, they weren't very well hidden either.

Cerberus, Wolfy, and Suzanne followed closely behind.

Ben already had the demon mask on his face. He threw a red jacket over his clothes because he realized how difficult it was to remove bloodstains.

Cerberus and Wolfy had to eat half of the man to make him spill all the information he had.

Ben turned a corner into another alley.

Two men were smoking in a corner.

"Are you ready?" Ben asked.

Suzanne pulled out her phone and started recording.

Ben walked toward the men.

When the men saw him approaching, they dropped their relaxed posture against the wall.

"Who are you?" The first to speak was a Black kid who couldn't have been more than 18 years old. "What's with that mask?"

He pointed at Ben with a cocky attitude.

"I think you're lost," the other man said. He was bald and had a mustache.

He took the cigarette out of his mouth and tried to press it into Ben's face.

But Ben grabbed his wrist and broke it with a simple squeeze.

"Arghh!!"

The man didn't even get a chance to scream properly before Ben grabbed his head and crushed his eyes with his fingers, then dug deeper.

After a few tremors, the man stopped moving.

"You!" The Black kid panicked and tried to pull a gun from his waist.

Ben stepped closer and yanked the gun out of his hand. Ben's strength far surpassed the kid's.

He easily subdued the kid and shoved the gun into his mouth. The kid looked at him with panic and pleading in his eyes.

But all he received was a cold stare and a bullet to the head.

Blood splattered across Ben's mask. Without cleaning it off, he dropped the kid's body and looked at the heavy steel door blocking his way.

...

Far below the same location, an important meeting was taking place.

On one side was one of the most wanted men in the country.

N2.

Across from him was the old cop who had tried to imprison Ben.

"Is it all there?" The old cop opened the briefcase on the table and saw the stacks of bills, impossible to count quickly.

"You know it is," N2 said disdainfully, smoking some Ralen to calm his nerves. "There's 100 million argens in the briefcase. You just have to hold up your end of the deal."

The old cop swallowed hard and thought deeply before reaching out and grabbing the briefcase.

He took it and left through a back door, heading toward a secret entrance he had used earlier.

...

Ben grabbed Suzanne and the two dogs and used his dark element.

[Shadow Jump]

The amount of magic he used to activate the spell increased due to the number of people he was transporting and their weight.

Fortunately, the three of them weren't heavy at all.

When Ben shot the kid outside, the men inside heard it and went on high alert.

When Ben suddenly appeared with Suzanne and the dogs, they immediately aimed their weapons at him.

Ben only had a second to react, and he did.

[Shadow Jump]

The men pulled the trigger, unleashing a hail of bullets where Ben and the others had been just a second ago.

Ben reappeared in the shadow of one of the men and, with the gun he had taken from the kid at the door, blew the man's brains out.

His companion noticed Ben's presence and tried to aim, but Ben was faster, placing a bullet in his head.

Suzanne recorded everything with her phone, focusing the camera on Ben's mask.

Ben gave her a quick glance and kept walking.

"Ahhhh!!"

A shirtless man suddenly emerged from a corner with a machete, trying to catch Ben off guard with a slash to the face, but Ben had heard him the moment he started running.

With his left hand, Ben grabbed the machete by its blade, but not even a small cut appeared on his hand.

The man's eyes widened in shock, but before he could do anything, Ben slammed him against the wall.

With his right hand, Ben held the man's head against the wall, and with his left, he slowly moved the machete toward the man's neck.

With Ben's strength, it would have been incredibly easy to decapitate the man, but he didn't. Instead, he deliberately moved the machete slowly, giving the man the impression that he was resisting Ben's strength, but the blade inched closer to his neck.

When the machete began to cut into his neck, the man screamed in desperation.

Still, Ben kept cutting slowly.

When the blade severed the carotid artery, a torrent of blood splattered across Ben's face and body, but he didn't even blink.

Once he cut off the head, he grabbed it with one hand and tossed it aside.

Suzanne's hands trembled as she held the phone. Even though she knew Ben wouldn't harm her, she couldn't control the overwhelming fear he inspired.

With a kick, Ben sent a door flying off its hinges.

The warehouse fell silent as the wooden door landed in the middle of the room.

A few men were sitting at a table, playing what looked like cards.

On the same table were what appeared to be high-caliber weapons.

Ben immediately started running, and the men began shooting at him, but none of their shots hit.

Quickly, Ben zigzagged toward them.

The first man ran out of ammo, and Ben took the opportunity to deliver a full-force punch to his head.

The man's body crumpled like a ragdoll. His head hit the floor and cracked with a sickening sound.

Ben took the man's weapon and reloaded it.

He held the man's body with one hand while firing the machine gun with the other.

Using a human shield in one hand and a machine gun in the other, he quickly took out the other five men.

But the noise quickly drew more attention. Men began pouring out from different doors.

Some were dressed in what looked like lab equipment, others were shirtless, showing their skeletal figures, and they carried high-caliber weapons.

Some were well-equipped with what appeared to be bulletproof vests.

They all aimed at Ben, and he raised both hands in surrender.

In one hand, he held a machine gun, and in the other, a machete.

No matter how much he tried to appear harmless, he failed.

Especially with the mask and his blood-soaked body.

These were gangsters with more blood on their hands, and they didn't hesitate for a second to open fire.

Ben disappeared into his own shadow and reappeared in the middle of the men. With the machete, he sliced open one man's chest, and with the machine gun, he fired without aiming, but it didn't matter—there were too many men around him.

And so, the massacre began.

...

N2 frowned as he looked upward. He couldn't understand what was happening, but he could sense the use of magic and feel the vibrations in the ground from where he stood.

"What's going on?" he asked one of the men beside him.

One of his trusted men pulled out what looked like a radio from his pocket and began asking questions.

Within seconds, the man's expression grew more and more serious.

"Sir!" The man bowed. "It seems we're under attack."

"Under attack?" N2 was incredulous. "By whom? I doubt any gang in this backward country would dare challenge us."

Even their main rivals in the world wouldn't dare pick a fight with them without weighing the consequences first.

"It's just one person, sir."

N2 raised an eyebrow with a smile.

"Really?"

The man trembled under his gaze and nodded.

Standing up from his seat, N2 stretched with a smile on his face.

"That's good. It'll serve as a warm-up." Flames began to erupt from his body. "It's been a long time since I've had any fun."

Slowly, he made his way up the stairs, not really caring how many died above him due to his patience.

...

Ben had killed everyone who had come out to greet him with open arms.

His body was drenched in the blood of his enemies.

Lately, he had realized it was very difficult for his enemies to truly hurt him.

Even with firearms, only high-caliber bullets could injure him, and even then, he could heal very quickly with his gift.

So, unlike his first group battle in Azakur, this time he remained completely unharmed.

A wide grin spread across his face as he saw how many evil points he had gained.

Cerberus and Wolfy began devouring the corpses with obvious pleasure, growing larger with each body they consumed.

Ben left the corpses and Suzanne behind to delve deeper into MK16's hideout.

Entering a large warehouse, he was met with the sight of dozens of bodies lying face down, large cylindrical tubes piercing their heads.

There were bodies of women, men, and children.

Ben approached with a furrowed brow. They were all alive but completely unaware of their surroundings.

A white substance, glowing with a silvery flicker, dripped from the cylindrical tubes.

Ben reached out to touch one of the bodies, but at that very moment, a chill ran through his entire body.

He dropped everything he was doing and raised both hands in a defensive stance.

In an instant, Ben was thrown out of the warehouse by a tremendous force, flying through the air until he crashed into a wall.
