Chapter 58: hell
The dark red lights were the only thing illuminating the establishment called Sons of Hell.
Loud music blared through the venue. Women danced on poles set up on the stage. The men below threw money and whistled in excitement.
The noise and excitement were interrupted when several gang members rushed into the place, carrying some of their injured comrades inside.
Many of the men in the venue were surprised and watched with clear curiosity.
The gang members quickly entered the offices and closed the doors.
"A gang war?" one of them asked.
"Who would dare challenge the Sons of Hell in Azakur?"
"Yeah, everyone knows they have connections in the government and the police."
"Was one of the injured Enzo?"
"No, you must've imagined it. Enzo's an intermediate mage."
The voices and whispers continued, but inside the office, the gang members were in a panic, unsure of what to do.
"We need to call the higher-ups."
"Yeah. And tell them what? That some college kids beat us up and we can't handle their territory?"
"We just have to wait for Enzo to wake up. He'll decide."
"You know how he is! He doesn't forgive anything. He'll probably call the higher-ups to get permission to kill the kid."
"That puts us in a bad spot."
"What if we kill him?"
The question hung in the air without an answer.
"They're just college kids who've never killed before. That's why they didn't do it, even when they could have," one of them theorized. "They're clearly just passing through. Once they leave, there won't be any problems, and we can go back to business as usual."
Again, there were no answers, but this time the silence was one of acceptance.
At the entrance of the venue, a middle-aged, pot-bellied man approached alongside a boy who looked like he was wearing a demon costume.
A skeletal mask with hollow eyes and a eerie smile covered the boy's face. The mask had two long, intimidating horns that made anyone who looked at him want to step back.
"Stop," a guard at the door halted them. "Who are you."
"We're just customers," the man replied.
"I need to see your faces."
Ben didn't have time to waste on these trivialities, so with one hand, he grabbed the burly guard by the neck and lifted him.
The guard tried to fight back, but Ben slammed him against the wall three times, knocking him out.
Ben and Hubert entered the venue.
"We need to find my daughter," Hubert said, to which Ben nodded without saying a word.
Aside from the large open hall where music played, drinks were served, and naked women performed, the venue seemed to have several private rooms for "entertainment."
Many in the venue stared at them but soon lost interest, assuming Ben simply didn't want to be recognized.
Ben and Hubert entered the first room with ease. Ben just had to push the door with a bit of force, and the lock gave way.
The same red lights greeted them, but in the small room, there was only a bed and various tools and sex toys on the wall.
A completely obese man lay naked on the bed, on top of a girl.
"Who are you?!" he shouted angrily. "Didn't Enzo teach you how to behave?"
Ben ignored his shouts and with a simple slap, sent him flying against the wall.
Doing this revealed a small girl lying naked on the bed.
Her body hadn't fully developed yet, and her features were still childlike.
Ben's steps faltered for a moment.
He approached the girl, who recoiled in horror at the sight of him.
Hubert also approached the girl and tried to calm her down.
"It's okay, sweetheart, we're not here to hurt you," Hubert tried to touch her, but the girl shied away from his touch.
"Do you know who you're messing with?" the fat man got up, his face swollen and tears in his eyes.
Ben kicked a sex toy, which hit the fat man in the head and silenced him.
This seemed to satisfy the girl, and she became less afraid of them.
"What's your name?" Hubert asked softly, trying not to upset the girl.
"S-Suzanne Miller," the girl replied in a shaky, uncertain voice.
Hubert nodded and continued with his questions.
Ben's fists clenched tighter and tighter as he listened to the poor girl's story.
Suzanne hadn't done anything wrong. She had simply gone out to run errands for a friend's house and was kidnapped by Enzo and his gang on the way.
That same day, the girl lost her innocence at the hands of Enzo himself.
Since then, she had been selling her body to anyone who could pay.
By now, she had lost count of how many men she had been with.
Her family had missed her dearly and had caused a huge uproar to find her.
To avoid trouble, Enzo killed them in front of Suzanne's horrified eyes.
To this day, she had lived her life as a sexual object and a semen dump for the powerful.
Without hope or the will to live.
And this girl had endured all of this at the tender age of 11.
Hubert couldn't help but hug the girl and start crying, thinking about everything she had gone through—and by extension, his own daughter.
Suzanne didn't know how to react to Hubert's embrace and tears and simply stood still like a statue.
Ben, on the other hand, had no outlet for his emotions but quickly found one.
The fat man sitting in the corner of the room.
Ben felt so full of rage that he was surprised to realize his anger was even greater than when he had been kidnapped and tortured.
He grabbed the fat man by the neck and slammed him against the wall.
**"Don't you dare do anything to me," the fat man threatened, even with his bruised face. "I'm the mayor's secretary, and I can make your life hell."
Ben ignored him and delivered a powerful punch to the man's gut.
The look of disbelief and pain on the man's face filled Ben's heart with glee.
With ease, Ben moved his right hand to the man's genitals and, without blinking, ripped them off with cruelty and malice.
"Arrrrgggggg!!!"
The fat man's screams of pain caught Hubert and Suzanne's attention, and they watched in shock as Ben held the bloody mass to the man's open mouth, forcing him to eat his own genitals.
The man struggled, choking and gasping for air.
But before he could die in such a pathetic way, Ben began punching his head.
This time, without holding back at all.
From the first punch, the sound of something breaking against the wall was heard.
After more than ten punches, the man's head was nothing more than a smear of blood and bone on the wall.
Only then did Ben let go, allowing the headless body to collapse to the floor.
When he turned around, he was met with Hubert's horrified gaze.
"What?!" Ben asked. "I warned you what you were unleashing."
Suzanne, on the other hand, didn't look at him with fear or horror. Her eyes shone brightly as she looked at him. There were tears in her eyes, but they were tears of happiness.
Ben left the room and stood in the middle of the large central hall of the establishment.
Everyone ignored him and focused on the women on stage.
They ignored him until they felt it.
A raw, overwhelming amount of gray magic unleashed in the air.
A cruel and barbaric intent to kill that sent shivers down everyone's spine.
The lights seemed dimmer, and the music felt distant.
[Cursed space]
People slowly turned and looked at the source of the disturbance.
A boy covered in blood, standing in the middle of the hall, wearing a demon mask.
Many gang members also came out of the offices, sensing the unleashed magic.
Unlike their previous encounter, which had been a coincidence and most of them were unarmed, this time they were all armed—with daggers, machetes, knives, pistols, mini Uzis, shotguns, and rifles.
There were more gang members than Ben remembered, around 30 to 40 of them.
Hubert came out of the room to find such a scene.
The customers moved to the corners, hoping not to get involved in the conflict.
The girls on stage fled in terror.
But the center of attention stood in complete silence, looking at all the gang members and also directing his gaze at the customers and workers in the venue.
"Who are you?" one of the gang members asked, intimidated by the sheer amount of magic Ben was emitting.
He assumed Ben was at least an intermediate mage.
I didn't want to get involved in a fight with a mid-level mage without a good reason. Maybe the boy unleashed the magic to get attention, maybe he really didn't want a fight with them.
Either way, I wanted to exhaust all options before engaging in a fight with such a being.
But Ben ignored his question and, after observing everyone, declared:
[None of you will leave here alive today!!]
