Evil Organization’s Extra Mr. A

Chapter 14

[13th Chapter]

It was a mess. When the cleanliness of my living space exceeded what I usually considered acceptable, it became noticeable.

I’m an average bachelor who doesn’t clean often and isn’t particularly neat. I don’t live in filth, but I don’t feel the need to maintain cleanliness either.

However, looking at the state of my room with my girlfriend coming over, it was a sight. Every hair in the corners was noticeable, and even though the floor looked fine earlier, it now felt sticky.

The trash bag near one corner was almost full, and the garbage for sorting wasn’t properly placed, rendering it useless as a trash bag.

“Ugh!!”

I scolded myself for not cleaning yesterday and started tidying up every nook and cranny. With only about an hour left, my 10-ping studio suddenly felt enormous.

After sweeping the floor and removing hair and dust, I noticed dust under the bed, expanding my cleaning area.

With the kitchen and bathroom still to go, the future looked bleak.

“Oh! Laundry!”

I opened the dryer door to find clothes that had been neglected for days. Though the clothes were dry, they were wrinkled from being left in a heap.

“This is irreparable.”

Sorting wrinkled clothes would be like organizing trash, so I decisively put them back in the washing machine.

“What’s next…”

I hadn’t cleaned thoroughly before, so when I tried to do it right, I couldn’t decide where to start.

Despite the pain in my jaw from earlier, I began cleaning one thing at a time, but even a small studio can’t be cleaned completely in just an hour.

Around an hour later, the doorbell rang. Checking the intercom, I saw Yubin standing at the building entrance, and I surveyed the unfinished room.

“What a mess.”

I had done some surface cleaning, but I hadn’t taken out the trash or dealt with the laundry. Even after vacuuming twice, I worried about dust and hair in the corners. I couldn’t keep Yubin waiting, so I pressed the door button.

Within a minute, I opened the door to Yubin, who stood there wearing a beige high-waisted skirt and white blouse.

“Brother, hi.”

“Yeah, come in.”

Yubin entered with a shopping bag full of luggage on her shoulder. It seemed strange that she had packed so much in just two hours, given we had been fighting.

“I said I’d clean, but the room might be a bit messy.”

I preemptively set the stage, and Yubin nodded while looking around my room.

“It’s clean enough.”

Seeing Yubin didn’t seem too bothered, I relaxed a bit. But then Yubin went to the kitchen and put down the shopping bag.

“What’s this?”

“Groceries. I’m cooking for you.”

“Cooking?”

Surprised by the sudden mention of cooking, I stared blankly until she pulled out an apron from the bag.

“Tie it for me.”

Wearing the apron, Yubin turned around and asked me to tie the strings. I obliged her request.

“Why cooking all of a sudden?”

“You always eat convenience store food or go out, so I thought I should sometimes cook for you.”

While grateful, I wondered if she could actually cook.

“Are you good at cooking?”

Silence.

One thing I learned through communication was that Yubin usually eats out rather than cooks. While anyone with hands can cook, I was curious if she could do it well. Her silence made me uneasy.

“But I looked up recipes online!”

Watching her speak loudly in frustration, I smiled, thinking “So what?”

“Alright, I’ll look forward to it.”

“Don’t get your hopes up too much.”

She then started taking out ingredients from the shopping bag and prepared to cook. Even after taking out most of the groceries, she still peeked inside the bag.

“Pajamas, toiletries, clothes… even underwear?”

“Oh! What will you do if you see everything?”

“I saw what was inside.”

I snatched the bag and hid it in a corner of the kitchen. Although it seemed pointless, I didn’t want to show her everything.

“…Are you staying overnight?”

Looking up from washing vegetables, Yubin blushed and nodded.

Although it was unexpected, having my girlfriend stay over didn’t seem problematic. She could just stay overnight.

“I have work tomorrow, and it’s close by.”

Understanding, I moved to the sofa and watched Yubin prepare dinner in the kitchen.

She kept checking if I was watching her, making eye contact each time. Each time our eyes met, I simply smiled.

Seeing my smile, she blushed and continued cooking.

“What are you making?”

“Kimchi stew and rolled eggs.”

Ordinary dishes, but there’s no reason to dislike them. I first ate kimchi stew when I came to Korea, and it left a good impression, so I’ve eaten it several times since.

I couldn’t find the right moment to talk to her as she focused intently on cooking. Watching her move busily, I found myself staring rather than talking.

As she closed the lid on the kimchi stew pot and prepared the rolled eggs, I approached and rested my chin on her shoulder.

“!!”

Startled, Yubin turned and our eyes met.

“Just watching. Is that okay?”

“Not exactly prohibited.”

“Then I’ll watch.”

I hugged her waist and watched closely as she prepared each dish slowly. Noticing her hand stop occasionally, it seemed my gaze made her nervous.

“Brother, you’re too close…”

“Really? Should I move away?”

I wondered if it was interfering with her cooking. Even if she might get cut by a knife, she wouldn’t need such strong defense as a HunterKiller.

“No.”

When I asked if she wanted me to move, she didn’t insist on it. Uncertain, I decided to stay close.

Moving together, we returned to our positions.

Once the rolled eggs were ready, she held my arm and turned around, facing each other closely.

I read her signal clearly and gently kissed her lips.

Opening her eyes, she looked at me curiously.

“Only once?”

“No way.”

We kissed again, and gradually moved from lips to cheeks, then down slowly.

When I kissed her collarbone, she spoke urgently.

“Brother!”

“Yes?”

Her urgent voice snapped me out of it. Looking at her flushed face, she also looked at me, unsure of what to do.

“Let’s eat first…”

“Right.”

I forgot how quickly dinner was ready. Was I more excited about my girlfriend coming over than I realized?

We sat at the table and she nervously watched me, wondering if her cooking suited my taste.

“Want to eat?”

Tense, I took a spoonful of stew and tasted it.

“…Salty.”

She waited for my evaluation. I told her honestly what I felt, and seeing her reaction, I felt a bit dejected.

Still, honesty is important. If there’s a problem, it needs to be addressed.

“Sorry…”

Feeling dejected, I started eating.

“Brother, if it’s salty, you don’t have to eat it.”

“Salty is salty. You cooked it, so I’ll eat it.”

It’s definitely salty for me, but others might not think so. However, it’s her effort, and dismissing it because of salt isn’t polite.

“You don’t have to force yourself.”

She seems to think I’m forcing myself to eat despite saying it’s salty. I didn’t say it was inedible.

“It’s not forced. You should try it too.”

“…Okay.”

Yubin also took a spoonful of stew.

“Salty.”

If she feels it’s salty, it must be true.

“I’ll look forward to next time.”

“Huh?”

She looked up, surprised by my words.

“You won’t do it next time?”

“I will. Next time, I’ll make it really tasty.”

I worried she might be hurt by my comment and stop cooking. The joy of having a girlfriend cook for you is immense.

“Yes.”

Eating together, the tension eased, and my jaw ached.

“!”

I winced while chewing, and Yubin stopped eating, concerned.

“What’s wrong?”

“No, nothing.”

I quickly thought of an excuse. I couldn’t say I got hit in the jaw earlier.

“It’s because I slept badly.”

I didn’t know why sleeping could cause jaw pain. I had never experienced it before, but I blurted it out, feeling silly.

“Does it hurt a lot?”

She believed me, seemingly understanding the situation.

“No, just a bit when chewing.”

She examined my jaw, then resumed eating. After finishing, she washed the dishes thoroughly.

Even though I offered to do it, she insisted on doing it herself. Meanwhile, I checked the laundry in the dryer.

“Brother, can I use the bathroom?”

Finishing the dishes, Yubin carried her shopping bag.

“Sure, go ahead.”

Since the bathroom was clean, there was no hesitation. She cautiously entered and soon I heard the shower running.

‘Is it…?’

We hadn’t been intimate at a motel yet. We hadn’t intentionally avoided it; circumstances just didn’t allow it.

Did Yubin come today to be intimate? Or was I just guessing?

It’s possible she came purely to eat, play, and sleep. I couldn’t engage in such behavior.

Realizing I had finished the laundry, I waited for Yubin to come out. Seeing her in pajamas, I couldn’t help but stare.

“Why?”

Maybe she felt uncomfortable under my gaze.

“You’re beautiful.”

I blurted out my thoughts, and Yubin seemed delighted.

Seeing this, my instincts stirred, but I tried to control them.

Time passed as we talked, and soon it was bedtime.

“Yubin, you can use the bed.”

My single bed was spacious for one adult, but sharing it would be uncomfortable. So, I offered her the bed and decided to sleep on the sofa.

“What about you?”

“The bed is narrow, so I’ll sleep on the sofa.”

Yubin, sitting on the bed, looked at me quietly. Calm down, my instincts.

To calm myself, I headed towards the sofa when Yubin called from behind.

“Brother.”

“Yes?”

She blushed and patted the bed with her palm.

“Sleep together.”

I am not an animal driven by pleasure.

I am not an animal driven by pleasure.

I am not an animal driven by pleasure.

Fine. I’ve said it three times, so I won’t do anything inappropriate.
