Chapter 1122: The Opportunity Arrives
Stina immediately corrected Yang Fei: "It's not 'cure,' it's the Second Prince George."
Yang Fei stood up solemnly, looking shocked.
"Oh my God, boss, you are actually friends with the Second Prince George. I'm so honored."
This display of a sycophant greatly satisfied Stina's vanity.
Yang Fei's subtle flattery felt effortless and natural, gradually reducing Stina's anger.
Suddenly, she didn't find this guy with the sly smile so annoying anymore.
Stina tried hard to project an authoritative image: "It's good that you know."
"But since you solved the issue with George's Porsche's insufficient combustion rate, you count as talented. Just stay and work well at our Spark Company."
At this, Stina gave Yang Fei and Blair a disdainful glance.
"Last night, Prince George came to collect his car, won the championship at Wild Wolf Peak car race, and he was very pleased. He specifically requested to meet the engineer who fixed his car."
Yang Fei was immediately overjoyed and honored.
"That's great! I've never met a Prince before! Thinking I can soon meet a real Prince makes me so excited I might wet myself."
Stina rolled her eyes at him: "No chance for that now."
"Prince George is of noble status; he can't afford to be associated with the riffraff from Mos Castle, or his reputation will be tarnished. You should wait for another lifetime."
Yang Fei looked crestfallen.
"Really? We just go to Mos Castle for some pure fun, just watching performances and all."
His sincere and innocent eyes made Stina believe Yang Fei's words instantly.
"Maybe this guy isn't as sleazy as I thought; he's new here and understandably wants to get along with his colleagues."
For reasons unknown, Stina easily forgave Yang Fei.
Seeing Yang Fei anxious and fearful, Stina's anger subsided significantly.
"There's no chance now, but George and I are good friends."
"As long as you perform well for the company, I'll mention you to Prince George when the opportunity arises."
Stina's words made Yang Fei feel as if he'd received a great favor.
This guy nodded repeatedly, waving his fists as if pumped full of adrenaline.
"Alright, I will do my utmost for the company, long live Spark, long live the boss!"
Yang Fei's enthusiasm made Stina laugh charmingly.
She waved her hand: "Alright, nothing more to say, just do a good job."
After saying that, Stina rose with an air of authority, hands in her pockets, and briskly walked out of the engineering department office.
Blair stared open-mouthed as Stina strode out of the office.
He was in disbelief: "Is the matter settled just like that?"
Given Stina's temper and iron-fisted methods, the engineering department's collective escapade to Mos Castle and subsequent tardiness would normally have resulted in severe punishment—deductions in wages and bonuses would be expected.
Yet, Jack managed to defuse the situation with just a few words.
No engineer even received admonishment or warning; it was nothing short of a miracle.
Yang Fei waited until Stina walked out of the office, then gave her a big middle finger.
He snorted disdainfully: "Fighting against me, this little lady is too green."
In fact, this was just a minor demonstration from Yang Fei, the psychology master and con artist.
A boss as outwardly cold yet internally naive as Stina was like a gentle little rabbit to Yang Fei.
He could easily manipulate Stina's mood at will, playing with her as he pleased.
As Stina walked out of the engineering department, she paused slightly.
She had intended to use this opportunity to properly reprimand this unruly group of engineers, but somehow they passed with flying colors.
This was indeed strange.
However, thinking about how Jack easily resolved the Second Prince George's racing car issue, Stina felt somewhat pleased.
This would elevate Spark Auto Modification Company's status in George's eyes.
"It seems necessary to introduce this genius automotive electronics engineer to George," Stina thought secretly, then smiled slightly and left.
Yang Fei began working normal office hours, giving him plenty of time in the evenings to search for Professor Mi's whereabouts.
Due to Yang Fei's profound mechanical and electronic knowledge, John stepped aside and let Yang Fei take over as the director of the engineering department.
Therefore, Yang Fei's work was quite leisurely, only being reported challenging issues the department couldn't resolve.
And these elite engineers were very capable, rarely sending problems to Yang Fei.
Feeling incredibly bored, two days later, Yang Fei received news from Ellis and Na Sha.
Professor Mi had indeed arrived in Novis, forced to work for a secret royal laboratory in Glenf Country, though the exact location was still unknown.
Yang Fei couldn't help but marvel at the strength of the Blood-cloth Tower's intelligence network, even surpassing that of the Hidden Dragon Nine Divisions.
Yet, on reflection, it made sense to Yang Fei.
The ancient underground sect, the Blood-cloth Tower, dealt in the business of women.
In this world, there are few men who do not like women, and the more powerful a man is, the more he likes women.
The beauties of the Blood-cloth Tower whispering sweet nothings or acting coquettishly often proved more effective than brutal torture.
This is akin to the Western saying that a spoonful of honey catches more flies than vinegar.
Since Professor Mi was possibly hiding in a royal secret laboratory, Yang Fei decided to start his investigation from Prince George.
Taking advantage of Stina's connections, Yang Fei found it quite easy to get close to George.
After spending extended periods with Stina, Yang Fei discovered she was an ambitious woman.
Though she came from a private enterprise, she hoped to leverage George's power to secure various modern military manufacturing contracts.
Yang Fei even faintly sensed that Stina harbored fantasies about Prince George.
She hoped to win George's affection and become royalty through marriage as a consort.
The Stina Family's vast economic resources laid the foundation for this possibility.
The Stina Family, the largest automobile manufacturer in the Greenworth Empire, had a great chance of transitioning into a military enterprise.
With her family's immense financial backing, Stina's ambition to become George's consort wasn't far-fetched.
Given Stina's experience and ability, she didn't need to manage such a racing modification factory.
However, everyone knew that George loved racing, and modifying race cars was his passion.
The existence of the Royal Military Laboratory was an enormous secret of the Greenworth Empire, known only to the royals.
Based on the intelligence Yang Fei received, the Imperial Laboratory was overseen by George and another prince, Brown.
Yang Fei had been waiting for an opportunity to meet George.
He was confident that a dedicated racer like George would be interested in a genius auto mechanic like him.
Finally, the day arrived for Yang Fei's opportunity.
