Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The First Pieces on the Board
The buzzing of the Fox River Prison alarm echoed like an omen.
The giant concrete structure surrounded by barbed wire was just as intimidating as it was in the series. But unlike the first time I watched it, this time I was inside.
The guards escorted me as I walked down the hallway, my beige prison shirt weighing heavily on my newly tattooed body. The cells lined both sides, filled with criminals of all stripes. Some ignored me, others looked at me curiously, and some... were already considering whether I would be easy prey.
But I wasn't the original Michael Scofield. I was someone different, with the System on my side and the knowledge of five full seasons.
And I would use that to win.

The First Rule of Prison: Meet the Players
Fox River was a chessboard, and each piece needed to be positioned correctly.
Main players:
1. Lincoln Burrows – My brother, sentenced to death.
2. Fernando Sucre – My future cellmate and ally.
3. John Abruzzi – The mafia leader who controls the mafia from within the prison.
4. Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell – A dangerous and unpredictable monster.
5. Benjamin "C-Note" Franklin – A former soldier who would become useful.
6. Brad Bellick – The corrupt guard who could be both an enemy and a tool.
7. Sara Tancredi – The prison doctor... and my main interest.
My strategy needed to be meticulous. If I moved too fast, I would draw attention. But if I took too long, the whole plan could fall apart.
---
First Contact with Lincoln
My first objective was clear: to see Lincoln.
After the initial bureaucracy, I was escorted to my cell. Sucre was already there, lying on the bed, giving me a suspicious look.
"Do you speak Spanish?" he asked, without ceremony.
"Un poco," I replied, with a small smile.
He seemed to accept my presence and went back to bed. Good. Sucre was a trustworthy guy, and I would need him in the future.
But first... Lincoln.

Michael stood in line at the mess hall, carrying his tray of food slowly. His gaze roamed discreetly around the hall, analyzing the prisoners and the surrounding environment. Every detail mattered.
It was then that he noticed a group of inmates whispering among themselves, their gazes directed towards an isolated area, where common prisoners did not have free access.
Death row.
Lincoln was there. Separated from the others.
Michael took a deep breath. It wouldn't be as simple as walking up to him and saying, "Hey, bro, I'm here to get you out of this."
He needed a different approach.
---
On Visit
Michael filled out an application for internal visitation. As Lincoln's brother, he was entitled to supervised visits inside the prison.
When the moment arrived, he was escorted to a secluded area, where Lincoln was already sitting behind the thick glass of the visiting booth, holding the phone.
Michael picked up the phone on the other end.
Lincoln's eyes studied him carefully before frowning.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Michael kept his expression calm.
"Saving your life."
Silence.
Lincoln let out a short, humorless laugh.
"You shouldn't be here, Mike."
Michael leaned forward a little, his voice low but firm:
"And you shouldn't be on death row."
Lincoln's eyes flashed with suspicion and something else. Hope.
Michael smiled slightly.
The game had begun.

Gaining Abruzzi's Trust
If I wanted to escape, I needed the one thing I couldn't do on my own: a plane.
And for that, I needed John Abruzzi.
The mobster stood in the center of the courtyard, surrounded by his henchmen. If I approached him the wrong way, I could end up dead before I could even begin the plan.
But I had an ace up my sleeve.
I walked calmly to the table where he was sitting. His sharp eyes scanned me, and one of his men already moved to stop me.
"Stop it, newbie."
"I want to talk to Abruzzi."
The mobster slowly looked up.
"And why would I talk to you?"
I leaned in slightly, so that only he would hear my next sentence.
"Because I know where Fibonacci is."
The air around us seemed to change instantly. The henchmen stopped moving. Abruzzi's eyes gleamed with murderous interest.
"And even?"
I smiled.
"Can we talk in private?"
He was silent for a few seconds, then he stood up and motioned for me to follow him.
I had just secured a seat at the table of one of the most dangerous men in the prison.

First Meeting with Sara Tancredi
After making sure Abruzzi would listen to me and Lincoln knew I was there for him, I was called to the infirmary.
It was time for the first contact with Sara Tancredi.
The office was organized, with medical files stacked and medicine bottles labeled. When I walked in, she had her back to me, organizing some papers.
"You can sit down," she said, without looking at me.
I obeyed and waited.
When she finally turned around, our eyes met.
And for a second, I saw surprise pass across her face.
"Michael Scofield..." She frowned. "You seem... too polite to be here."
I smiled slightly.
"And you look too good to work here."
She let out a low laugh, shaking her head.
"You're not the first one to try to flirt with me, you know?"
"The difference is that I really meant it."
+5 Charm!
She raised an eyebrow but didn't answer. She just took my file and began reading it.
"Type 1 Diabetes... That means you'll be here regularly for monitoring," she said, looking at me.
"I hope it's not a bother."
"As long as you don't cause any trouble, I think we can get along fine."
I stared at her for a moment and then smiled.
"I will try not to disappoint you."
Updated Side Quest: Gain Sara Tancredi's Trust – Progress 20%
I left the ward knowing one thing.
This woman was going to fall in love with me.
---
In just one day, I had already positioned several pieces on the board:
✔️ Lincoln knew I was there to save him.
✔️ Abruzzi now saw me as a valuable asset.
✔️ Sara Tancredi was curious about me.
But there was still much to do.
Time was running out, and I couldn't fail.
