Emperor of Mankind (Naruto X Marvel )

Chapter 27: Chapter 27

Naruto returned to Konoha after his time in the sanctuary with a renewed sense of purpose, but there was one thing weighing heavily on his mind: Ai, the little girl he had taken in. Using his sensory abilities to track her life force, he located her at the orphanage. However, as he focused on her, he sensed something troubling—fear and anxiety radiated from her small, fragile form.

Without hesitation, Naruto took to the skies, flying straight toward the orphanage. The moment he landed, the children gathered around him, their small faces lighting up with awe and admiration. They had heard the stories of his exploits, and for them, Naruto was a beacon of hope.

He knelt down and smiled warmly at the group of kids, ruffling their hair and posing for their excited chatter. As he looked into their bright, hopeful eyes, he saw a reflection of his younger self. They reminded him of the days when he, too, felt alone, yearning for connection and love. But these children, he noted, were different. The caretakers, chosen carefully by Tsunade, were clearly providing a nurturing and loving environment.

"Lord Uzumaki," one of the caretakers approached him with a somber expression, "the little girl you brought to us—Ai—she refuses to interact with anyone. She's terrified and hasn't spoken to any of us. We've tried everything, but she seems to be carrying a heavy trauma from her past."

Naruto's expression softened with understanding. "It's not your fault," he reassured the caretaker, his voice calm and kind. "Thank you for taking care of her. I'll go to her."

With a nod, he moved quickly toward Ai's room, his heart heavy. Inside, he found a heartbreaking scene: Ai was curled up in a corner, clutching a small knife in her trembling hands. Her eyes were bloodshot from crying, and the fear radiating from her was palpable.

Naruto stepped into the room carefully, his movements slow and deliberate to avoid startling her. "Hello there, Ai," he began, his voice gentle. "I'm sorry I didn't visit you sooner. I thought you'd love this place. I made a mistake, and I hope you can forgive me."

Ai's grip on the knife tightened as her wary eyes remained fixed on him. Her body was tense, and she didn't seem to believe he was real. Naruto realized what was troubling her—she feared that he might not be who he appeared to be.

To her, any ninja could be an imposter.

Naruto took a step closer, but before he could say another word, Ai lunged at him, stabbing the knife directly into his chest. The blade didn't pierce his skin, barely scratching him. Instead of reacting with anger or pain, Naruto knelt down and wrapped his arms around her in a warm, protective embrace.

"It's okay, Ai. Calm down. No one will hurt you anymore," he murmured, holding her tightly despite her struggling.

For a moment, it seemed like she might relax. But then, the atmosphere in the room shifted. A dark, oppressive energy erupted from Ai's small frame, pushing Naruto backward with unexpected force. Her body floated a few inches off the ground, her eyes no longer her own. They glowed with an unnatural, eerie light.

A deep, otherworldly voice echoed from her lips, sending chills down Naruto's spine. "You have committed a forbidden act! You have opened the door to your heart that you swore to keep shut."

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he watched the scene unfold. It was clear now—something far more sinister had taken possession of the girl. The dark energy surrounding her was unlike anything he'd encountered before.

"Who are you?" Naruto demanded, his voice steady but firm. He activated his sensory abilities, trying to analyze the malevolent force.

The dark, malevolent voice echoed in the room as the entity within Ai confronted Naruto. "Keep out of it, mortal. This is between us. Interfere, and you shall suffer for eternity."

Naruto's expression hardened, his protective instincts flaring up. "I promised to keep her safe, so I'm going to have to refuse. Get out of her, now!"

With resolve burning in his Rinne-Sharingan eyes, Naruto closed the distance in an instant, his hand glowing with the power to extract souls. Without hesitation, he thrust his hand into Ai's chest, carefully targeting the dark presence attached to her soul. He felt its resistance immediately, a sickening pull as it clung to her like a parasite.

Gritting his teeth, Naruto yanked the dark entity out, holding it aloft in his grasp. It writhed and hissed, its form a pulsating mass of shadow. "You should not have interfered, Uzumaki," the entity hissed, its voice dripping with venom. "We had a contract, and I always ensure the success of my deals."

Before Naruto could react, the shadowy mass shifted, condensing into the form of a massive spider with glowing eye-like markings on its back. Its presence grew oppressive, and the air around Naruto seemed to warp. Darkness coiled around him like living tendrils, and the floor beneath him opened into a black void.

Suddenly, countless spectral hands reached out, grasping at him and pulling him downward. Naruto activated his Six Paths mode, golden chakra armor enveloping him as he struggled against the hands. Yet, his movements were restricted; he couldn't release a full-power shockwave without endangering the village.

The spider's sinister laughter echoed. "It is a futile struggle, human. I am the Master of Hell, and you are now my guest. Prepare to spend eternity suffering."

Naruto's teeth clenched as he tried to teleport, but the darkness interfered with his chakra flow. Slowly, he sank deeper into the void, the malevolent laughter of the spider ringing in his ears.

"STOP!" a piercing scream cut through the oppressive air.

Naruto's eyes darted toward Ai, who had regained consciousness. She sat up, trembling as she watched her savior being dragged into the abyss. Her small frame shook with fear, but her voice carried desperation.

The spider turned toward her, its glowing eyes narrowing. "You know I despise rule-breakers, Ai. Your turn will come soon enough. First, we shall deal with this meddler."

Tears streamed down Ai's cheeks as she fell to her knees. "Please, forgive him!" she cried. "I'll do anything. I'll become your servant forever—just let him go!"

Naruto's eyes widened at her words, her genuine concern cutting through the overwhelming darkness. She had been so guarded, so scared of him before, yet now she was willing to give up her freedom for his sake.

The spider chuckled, savoring her despair. "How noble. Yet how foolish. You broke the terms of our contract when you allowed emotions to rule you. Now, you'll suffer alongside him."

Naruto struggled harder, gritting his teeth. He couldn't let Ai sacrifice herself. "No!" he shouted. "No one's dying on my watch!"

He focused all his energy, drawing upon the Sword of Nunoboko that rested within his heart. The weapon, a manifestation of pure creation, emerged in his hand as a shimmering spear. Its spiraling energy glowed brightly, cutting through the darkness around him.

With a roar, Naruto hurled the spear at the spider. The blade of creation tore through the creature, unraveling its form and ripping open a hole in reality itself. The spider screeched as its body began to dissolve, its presence forcefully expelled from the dimension.

"You dare wield his weapon against me?!" the spider bellowed as it was pulled into the void. "This isn't over, Uzumaki! I will return!"

Naruto didn't let up. Using his Truth-Seeking Balls, he expanded their radius to cover the area, erasing the remnants of the dark energy and sealing the rift before it could grow unstable.

The oppressive atmosphere finally lifted, leaving the room in silence. Ai ran toward Naruto, tears streaming down her face. She threw her small arms around him, clinging to him tightly as she sobbed into his chest.

"I'm sorry," she cried, her voice cracking with guilt and fear. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Naruto knelt down, wrapping his arms around her protectively. "It's okay, Ai," he whispered, his voice gentle but firm. "You're safe now. I'm not going anywhere."

Ai continued to cry, her fragile body trembling as she poured out all the emotions she had bottled up. Naruto held her close, silently vowing to protect her from whatever darkness might come for her again.

"It's okay. It isn't your fault," Naruto whispered gently, trying to calm Ai, but her sobs wouldn't cease. Her small frame trembled against him, and he could feel the depth of her fear and guilt. Thinking quickly, Naruto decided to change the environment, hoping it might help her relax.

In an instant, he teleported them to the top of the Hokage Mountain. The fresh, cool breeze swept over them, carrying the scent of the forest and the faint chatter of the village below. The sudden change in temperature made Ai gasp softly, and she instinctively buried her face deeper into Naruto's chest for warmth.

"Look, Ai," Naruto said softly, gently turning her toward the vast scenery before them. "This is my favorite spot in the whole village. From here, you can see everything—Konoha and even the world beyond it. Isn't it amazing?"

Ai hesitated at first but allowed herself to be turned toward the breathtaking view. The village below was alive with activity, bathed in the warm glow of sunlight. The vibrant greenery surrounding the village contrasted beautifully with the rooftops and streets bustling with life.

Naruto watched her carefully as she took in the sight, her tear-streaked face softening just slightly. "It's beautiful, right?" he asked with a small smile.

"It looks... lively and warm," Ai murmured, her voice still shaky but filled with a quiet wonder.

"Yeah," Naruto agreed. "That's what this village is—a warm, lively place. It's your home now, Ai. The people here will love you and take care of you, just like family. You don't have to be scared anymore. You can move around freely, laugh, and be happy."

He placed a comforting hand on her head, brushing her long black hair gently. Ai leaned into his touch, feeling a flicker of comfort for the first time in what felt like an eternity. She didn't fully believe his words yet, but something about the warmth in his voice made her want to trust him.

But just as she began to relax, a sinister voice echoed in her mind:

'I will be waiting for you, Ai. Don't think you can escape from me.'

Ai's body stiffened, and she clutched Naruto's clothes tightly as a cold shiver ran through her.

"What's wrong, Ai?" Naruto asked, immediately noticing the change in her.

"Nothing... I'm just feeling cold," Ai lied, lowering her gaze to avoid his concerned eyes. She didn't want to burden him any further. She felt that the creature's presence was her fault, a consequence of her own actions.

Naruto, however, wasn't fooled. He could feel her fear radiating through her, as clear as daylight. The Rinne-Sharingan allowed him to perceive her emotions, and he realized that the spider was still communicating with her. Its malicious influence was far from gone, and Ai was trying to bear the weight of it alone.

Naruto's jaw tightened as he silently vowed to put an end to the creature. Whatever demonic entity the spider was, it posed a threat not only to Ai but potentially to the entire world. He couldn't allow it to continue spreading its darkness. But Ai's fragile state made it clear she wasn't ready to talk about it yet.

For now, Naruto decided to ease her fear. He pulled her close again, wrapping her in his chakra cloak. The golden energy enveloped her like a protective cocoon, radiating warmth and safety.

"Don't worry, Ai," he whispered, his voice steady and full of conviction. "I'll protect you. No matter what happens, you're not alone. I'll always be here for you."

Through the cloak, Naruto shared his emotions with her—a technique of ninshu that the Sage of Six Paths had taught. It allowed him to connect his feelings directly with hers, flooding her heart with his unwavering determination, kindness, and belief in her.

Ai's trembling gradually subsided as she felt the overwhelming positivity Naruto shared. The crushing weight of fear lightened, replaced by a faint sense of peace. For the first time in a long while, she allowed herself to believe that maybe, just maybe, she could be safe.

Naruto held her quietly, his gaze fixed on the horizon. He knew there was much to be done—both for Ai and to eliminate the spider's threat. But in this moment, all that mattered was showing her that she wasn't alone.

As the sun bathed the village in its golden light, Ai rested her head against Naruto's chest, her grip on his clothes loosening slightly. For now, she let herself believe in his words. And for Naruto, that was a victory worth savoring.
