Elven Domination: Reincarnated with a Cloning System

Chapter 69: Learning Elven Language

Arthur once again tried to lift the book, but this time using both hands and only trying to lift one book at a time.

"Urgh."

Arthur lifted it with full effort.

He didn't even bother to put it on the same table, as he could definitely imagine his fingers being crushed by this block of metal, so instead he just dropped it on the ground.

"BAAM!"

The sound it created while hitting the ground made his spine tingle. If he had slipped and dropped it on his leg, it would have definitely broken a few bones in him.

What was more surprising was the fact that not once had he seen any damage to the wood structure which the building is made of, but just now he had witnessed, for the first time, a little dent on the wooden floor.

He didn't know who made these buildings, but they were very sturdy.

One by one, Arthur put all the books on the ground by simply lifting one from the table and then dropping it on the ground.

Arthur's arms were hurting from the strenuous job he had just done; one of the black books would be around 50 to 70 kg from his estimate. He was not completely sure, but that was the feeling he was getting when lifting them.

Finally, after all the hard work, ignoring the dull-looking books on the ground, he excitedly came to check the fancy book.

He laid his eyes on the title.

'Damn this! All the hard work for nothing.'

He read the title.

"Everything You Need to Know About Men as a Woman"

He does need this knowledge too, but now is not the time for this. He had done all the work to see these things, which means the black books that could even be considered dumbbells were the ones that were on magic and cultivation.

'I am not going to lift these up.'

He had decided to sit on the floor and start reading them. He randomly selected a book, as they are almost identical to look at, and tried to open it, but he was not able to—no matter how hard he tried to open the cover page, it wouldn't even budge.

"Arrgh!"

He tried it again using everything he had, but he failed. If he tried any harder, he knew his nails were going to come off, so he stopped.

He tried to calm himself by telling himself that they seemed to have some type of magic that required him to complete the first book before he could try the other parts. His thinking wasn't wrong.

The next black book he tried to open opened quite easily, but seeing what was written in it made him furious.

He was already having mood swings due to his periods, and now this broke the last straw and made him extremely angry, as fire started to come out of his eyes just like it did from Fira earlier, but the fire from his was much stronger, indicating how he was angrier than her.

The reason for his anger was quite simple—unlike the previous one, where reading the title after the hard work made him mad, this time he couldn't even read a single word written in the book, as it seemed like gibberish to him.

A few letters seemed familiar to him, as he had definitely seen them on the front logo of the library. He knew the books were written in the Elvish language.

'I've only had less than a month with them, and I don't know the language they were written in.'

It felt hopeless to him, but he didn't give up because he knew his learning ability had increased after getting the Mana Genius talent from Ember. His memorization—the proof of it is still in his mind—as he does feel sharper too, and the golden magic circle was still clear in his mind.

'I can do this if I try hard enough.'

He still had so much free time left for the day, so first he took out the black pouch around him and tried to put the books in it. It was hard to use the pouch at first, as he hadn't used something like this before. After a few tries, he got the hang of it.

Instead of moving the books, he moved the pouch closer to them, and using his mental energy, he put all the books inside it.

Now he was ready to leave for the library, where he had seen the book on the Elven language. He left his room and began to walk toward the library. After reaching the garden, he decided to just run to the library. It was around a mile away, so it would serve as good exercise.

He ran at a pace that wasn't either too fast or too slow—a moderate speed. After reaching the library, he was sweating quite a lot, and his breath was labored too.

'This body really is not used to any form of physical exercise.'

After catching his breath, Arthur naturally entered the library. He wasn't nervous like the previous time; he knew his destination—the fifth shelf.

After reaching the fifth shelf, Arthur took out the four books that were on the Elven language and moved to the empty table where no one else was sitting.

The titles of the books were written in English too, and he could tell by reading the title that each book was a part of a four-part set.

He started reading the first part, which started with a history lesson about where this Elvish language is derived from, which could be called modern Elvish language—it was derived from the Ancient Elvish tongue.

Arthur felt very happy seeing the subtext written in English; it had to be expected from books which are meant for the slaves who only know English to begin with.

He focused on the book, and first, he had to memorize the basic letters. He knew he only needed to know how to read, but when he was learning, he read the letters through their English definitions quietly so that no one could hear him.

There were only very few people here other than him, and they were quite far apart from where Arthur had chosen to sit, so his voice couldn't be heard by anyone.
