Elven Domination: Reincarnated with a Cloning System

Chapter 59: Favor (2) [Bonus]

Firiel felt pity for him, knowing how desperate he is, as he is willing to even copy them and give her back, but she doesn't think he would be able to copy all the concepts. Either way, she does have books on magic and cultivation her mother had given her when she had just started learning.

Those books are precious to her, as they have notes made by her mother inside them. Her mother is an Arcane Master, only one step below the legendary Monarch rank, which is the rank of the Elven Queen known to everyone.

She is one of the few Arcane Masters present in the Elven Empire. No one knows the exact number; they are rare, as it represents almost the pinnacle of power.

Which is also the reason her mother is the Guild Master of the Gourmet Guild.

It was a bit of a hard decision for her this time, knowing normal people would kill to get their hands on these books.

She could just tell him to wait and get the best book she could find and give him those, but he is her first friend. She is not giving these books to him and would be just lending them for the time being.

The thought of the books being damaged didn't even enter her mind because she knows how highly ranked the material they are made up of is. He would never be able to rip a simple page of it. Only in her current rank had she felt she would be able to damage the book, but she didn't do so, as they are precious to her.

'I will lend it to him until the day I depart, which means he would have a little less than a month with those precious books.'

But she is not going to take them out here. She would visit his place and give him the books.

"Okay Arthur, I can do that for you, but you have to meet me after you are done with your work. Then I will show the books to you in your room. I am only lending them to you until I am here. Those books are precious to me, and I will be taking them with me when I am gone."

"My mother had written them for me."

Arthur heard her loud and clear. At first, he had thought that books on magic and magical cultivation must be so rare that even to her, they are precious, as he knows she is the daughter of the Guild Master of the Gourmet Guild.

He felt grateful, knowing she was still willing to give them to him even for a month. It was a huge favor.

However, her next words made him pause for a little bit.

'Books written by the Guild Master of the Gourmet Guild—they must be precious.'

He believes she would be a strong person, as her daughter, at eighteen, is too powerful for him to comprehend as of now. He knows her cultivation rank is called Mana Weaving, which he had found out in the Embers' information.

'I don't know which rank it is, but it must be high, as she even has the power to defeat the Warden.'

"Thank you. I will come to meet you after my work is done so that we can go together to my room."

He now knew the reason why she didn't want to give him the book here—because they are too precious to show in public.

After thanking her, Arthur said his goodbye and left to work in the mines.

He is a bit later than yesterday, as he is at the last of the line. The line was moving quickly, so he didn't wait for much, as in only a couple of minutes he reached the entrance, where the same two half-elves, Zyra and Liora, are in charge.

Arthur knew there was no one behind him, so he was not in a hurry. So he's going to ask a few questions to them.

"Good morning, Liora."

"Good morning, Zyra."

Zyra and Liora's faces brightened up after seeing Arthur greeting them with a smile on his face. They answered his greeting, but they noticed instead of going in, he is standing in front of them without moving.

'What is going on?'

They gave each other a look with the same question in their minds. Both of them understood each other, but seeing the clueless look on each other's faces, they knew both of them knew nothing about what was happening.

But they are happy to know they got to talk to him a bit more. They haven't seen him much for the past few days.

Arthur didn't beat around the bush and got to the point, saying with a stern look on his face:

"Liora, and you too, Zyra—both of you—why haven't I seen you for the past few days? Where have you been? You guys have promised to help me with everything I need."

"But where are you guys when I need you the most?" He didn't forget to show a bit of sadness in his eyes for a moment to get a reaction from them.

While Arthur wanted to know what they were up to, as he liked talking to them, he decided to joke with them a little and see how they would react, without knowing what type of reaction he would get from them.

Zyra and Liora—both of them—heard him, and the sternness in his voice made them straighten their backs a little. They hadn't expected something like this from Arthur, but knowing he cared about them and missed them like they did, both their hearts throbbed quite a bit.

Liora even giggled a little in excitement, as she felt it wouldn't be long before she and her Arthur would be together.

Zyra only had a smile on her face.

But his next words, and the hint of unknown sadness, had caused both of them to go silent.
