The three cars rolled down the long driveway, flanked on either side by towering trees that formed a natural canopy. As they approached, an impressive mansion came into view, a striking blend of elegance and luxury
As the cars neared the mansion, the front gates slowly opened. Two security guards stood at attention. Their eyes widened in disbelief as they spotted Qew behind the wheel, a woman they had known to be paralyzed since childhood.
The shock was apparent on their faces, if only for a second, before they quickly masked it and stepped aside, letting the cars pass through.
The driveway curved into a broad front yard that stretched out like a private park. Vibrant flowerbeds framed the lawn, and a bubbling fountain sparkled at the center.
When the triplets stepped out of the car, a warm breeze brushed against them, carrying the faint scent of jasmine from the nearby garden.
Just as they were about to head to the doors, Qew paused and locked eyes with her bodyguard, Esha, who silently followed her.
Qew gave her a subtle smile, filled with unspoken meaning. Esha, understanding it instantly, returned a knowing smile.
Kay noticed the silent exchange and tilted his head. "What are you planning, Qew?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of suspicion.
But Qew only gave him a sly grin, eyes gleaming with mischief. Kay raised a brow, clearly puzzled, but Jay had already caught on.
Qew spotted the look on Jay's face and quickly remembered the mind-reading ability he shared with Olivia.
"Hey, that's an invasion of privacy. Stop reading my thoughts," she said, half teasing, half serious.
Jay shrugged with a small smirk. "It's not like I eavesdrop on purpose. The thoughts just come through unless I'm consciously blocking them."
Kay's eyes widened as the realization hit him. "Wait... Olivia can do that too? She can hear everyone's thoughts all the time?"
Jay quickly waved off his concern. "She can, yeah. But relax, I tweaked her Sigil so that she can't hear yours."
Kay let out a sigh of relief. But before he could fully settle, Qew smirked and said, "You don't need to read minds to know when someone's into you. Especially when they're making it painfully obvious."
Kay's unease returned upon hearing his sister's words, wondering if Olivia had seen through him.
Just then, Esha quietly approached the group with a foldable wheelchair she had taken from the car trunk.
Kay watched curiously as Qew walked over and calmly sat down in the chair. She glanced up at him with a mischievous grin and motioned for him to follow.
"As far as our family knows, I'm still a paraplegic," she said casually.
Kay asked with a puzzled look, "What's the point of pretending? Brother's going to explain everything about the System and the Trial Program soon anyway."
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Qew giggled softly. "It's more fun to catch them off guard. You know I can't resist adding a little drama."
Kay and Jay exchanged a glance and shook their heads helplessly; it was typical of their sister to pull something like this.
Qew pouted, "Oh, come on! Why do you both look like you're just putting up with me? Just play along. This is going to be a memorable surprise for Mom and Dad!"
With that, the group headed toward the villa's entrance. Inside, the mansion was just as impressive as it was outside. The decor was elegant, a perfect mix of modern design and traditional touches.
The polished wooden floors gleamed under the soft lights, and the walls were decorated with tasteful artwork that gave the space a calm and refined atmosphere.
A large chandelier hung in the center of the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the spacious living area. In the dining room, the table was already set for breakfast.
Plates of fluffy pancakes, fresh pastries, bowls of fruit, and a variety of other dishes were neatly arranged across the table. A few staff members stood quietly by, ready to help if needed.
At one corner of the table sat Olivia, and not far from her was Sergei. Jay's parents sat on one side of the table, speaking in low tones, while their uncle and aunt sat across from them, waiting patiently for everyone to gather.
Near the end of the table, their cousin Lokesh leaned back in his chair, drumming his fingers with a restless rhythm. He wasn't paying attention to the food. His eyes were on the hallway, clearly waiting for someone.
The moment he saw the triplets walk in, his whole expression lit up, and a wide grin spread across his face.
"Finally!" Lokesh exclaimed as he sprang up from his seat and hurried over.
"It's been too long!" He wrapped both Jay and Kay in a tight bear hug, laughing loudly.
"Jay, you hardly ever show up around here! What's it been, months?"
Jay chuckled, returning the hug. "You know me. Always tied up with something. Figured I'd drop by before you forget what I look like."
Lokesh playfully punched Jay on the arm. "Forget? How could I forget the new chief of security? I was surprised when I heard you finally joined the family business. It's great to have you on board, especially since HR and security have to work so closely. Looks like we'll be seeing each other a lot more now."
He then motioned toward the table. "Come on, take a seat. It's not every day we get the whole family under one roof."
Turning to Kay and Qew, Lokesh kept the mood light with some teasing remarks as he gently wheeled Qew closer to the table, placing her beside the others before settling into his own seat.
Jay's parents brightened at the sight of their eldest son. His mother's face lit up with a big smile. "Jay, it's been too long! I was starting to think your work had completely taken over your life."
Before Jay could respond, his uncle Umesh chimed in with a wave and a cheerful tone. "You're just in time! We've got some big news. Miss Olivia has finalized the announcement date for launching the new S.E.E.D. tech products. Tomorrow, at our main office, we're going public with the FUTURE Conglamorette partnership. It's going to change everything."
Jay's expression remained unreadable. He didn't seem surprised or even mildly enthusiastic about the announcement. Instead, his voice cut through the excitement with a serious tone.
"There's something more urgent we need to discuss. Something that could change the future of our planet."
The room fell silent. The cheerful atmosphere vanished in an instant. Everyone looked around, confused and uneasy, except for those already in the loop. They stayed quiet, composed, waiting for Jay to speak.
His mother's smile faded into concern. "Son, what do you mean?"
Jay took a steady breath and looked around the table, locking eyes with each person before he began. His voice was steady, his words clear.
As he explained everything, from the System to the inevitable GENESIS INCURSION and the truth about the Trial Program, the family sat frozen, their expressions filled with disbelief.
