Despite their meticulous planning, things didn't go as expected. They encountered no Exorcists that night.

"It's been a few days since those Exorcists were eliminated. Perhaps those targeting priests have gone into hiding," Irina speculated upon their return. "Luring them out might take some time."

Yuuto and the others nodded in agreement.

"I'll wait, no matter how long it takes," Yuuto declared, his voice filled with determination. The others nodded; they were willing to wait as well.

After reaching a consensus, Issei and Yuuto returned to their respective homes. Koneko, however, stayed at Mika's apartment. It was spacious enough to accommodate her, and there were plenty of spare rooms.

Rias had suggested that Issei and Yuuto stay as well, but Issei was worried about Asia—and Yuuto wanted to be alone.

Thus, only Koneko remained.

And so, another eventful day ended quietly.

The next morning, neither Mika nor Rias went to school. They had a more important matter to attend to: Grayfia's arrival.

The previous day, at Mika's request, Rias had contacted her brother, Sirzechs. After reviewing the information, he had concluded that Mika's suspicions were correct.

Sirzechs was familiar with the personalities of the Fallen Angel Cadres. Kokabiel was the type to instigate a war between the Three Factions.

However—he didn't believe the situation would escalate. He doubted Azazel, the Governor General of the Fallen Angels, would allow Kokabiel to provoke a full-scale conflict, especially after his theft of the Holy Swords.

Sirzechs knew Azazel despised fighting; his true passion was researching Sacred Gears. This explained Raynare's attempt to steal Asia's Sacred Gear—hoping to earn his favor.

Therefore, Azazel wouldn't tolerate Kokabiel's warmongering. He must have a plan, perhaps even being present in Kuoh Town himself.

After all, with Issei—the Red Dragon Emperor—now part of Rias's peerage, Sirzechs wouldn't be surprised if Azazel was personally observing the situation.

However, there was a difference between Kokabiel being apprehended by Azazel and being killed by Mika.

If Kokabiel died at Mika's hands—it would have significant effect for the Underworld, the Gremory clan, and Rias herself. She would no longer have to worry about her safety or her future. A servant with Ultimate-class power could overcome any obstacle.

As Rias's older brother, Sirzechs was naturally familiar with her peerage—especially Mika!

His performance in the Rating Game and the fact that even Grayfia had taken note of his abilities had prompted him to gather more information.

He had concluded that Mika had the potential to defeat Kokabiel.

Therefore—he agreed to Rias's request and sent Grayfia to protect them. With her presence, he was confident Rias and her peerage would be safe, regardless of the outcome.

"It all depends on you now—Mika," Sirzechs murmured, sitting on his throne.

A magic circle glowed—and Grayfia materialized before Rias and Mika.

"Grayfia! I'm so glad you're here!"

"Rest assured, Lady Rias. I will protect you." Despite her own Satan-class power, Grayfia, as Sirzechs's servant, addressed his family with respect.

It was her unwavering loyalty—a testament to her character. And the Gremory family, in turn, treated her with respect.

"I know I can count on you," Rias said with a smile.

Grayfia smiled back, then turned to Mika. "I'll be watching your back, Mika." She had received explicit instructions from Sirzechs.

"I'm counting on you, Grayfia," he replied.

With Grayfia's arrival—all the pieces were in place.

He could now focus on preparing for his confrontation with Kokabiel.

"To conceal your presence, you'll be staying here for the time being, Grayfia," Rias said. "We've prepared magic circles and barriers to mask your aura. Kokabiel won't be able to sense you."

"Excellent preparations. Then I shall assume the role of—head maid," Grayfia replied with a smile.

"....."

Mika and Rias exchanged amused glances, then silently offered their condolences to Irina and Xenovia, who were currently cleaning the lower floors.

After all, one of a head maid's duties was to—manage the other maids. And who were the maids in this building? Irina and Xenovia—the Holy Sword wielders—of course.

They were currently downstairs, diligently fulfilling their duties.

Grayfia's choice of words—"Head maid" instead of simply "maid"—suggested she was aware of their presence. And as a professional maid, she would undoubtedly "Train" them properly.

Facing the Deviless Grayfia—they had no chance of resisting. They would be at her mercy.

Both Mika and Rias could envision their—unfortunate future.

But neither of them intervened. After all, a Devil's amusement often came at the expense of others. And since it wasn't their suffering, they were rather…curious to see how Irina and Xenovia would handle the situation.

....

....

With everything prepared, a strange calm settled over Kuoh Town.

Although Yuuto, Koneko, and Issei continued their nightly patrols, attempting to lure out the Fallen Angels and Stray Exorcists—they encountered no enemies.

This inactivity made Yuuto increasingly anxious.

He feared Kokabiel might escape. While Mika suspected he was targeting Rias, it was merely a theory.

He worried that Kokabiel might leave Kuoh Town—heading to another city, or perhaps even returning to the Underworld.

That would be a devastating blow; this was a rare opportunity.

His growing anxiety was evident.

Neither Mika nor Rias could help him; this was a battle he had to fight himself—a personal demon he had to conquer.

However, Mika knew it wouldn't last long.

After all, while he had presented his theory about Kokabiel's target as mere speculation, he was certain of it. It was only a matter of time before Yuuto encountered his nemesis.

A few days later, Yuuto and his team finally encountered the Stray Exorcists who had attacked the priests. However, the battle was inconclusive; the Exorcists, recognizing Yuuto—had fled.

But they hadn't returned empty-handed.

Yuuto had finally seen his enemy: Valper Galilei.

After their earlier meeting, Xenovia and Irina had revealed his identity. Valper Galilei, Genocide Archbishop—was the one who had initiated and overseen the Holy Sword Project, the one who had ordered the execution of Yuuto and the other children.

Although he had tried to conceal his involvement, the truth had eventually been revealed. His actions were deemed unforgivable by the Church, and he was branded a Heretic.

While he should have been executed, he had escaped and joined the Fallen Angels.

Xenovia had suspected they might encounter him in Kuoh Town. After all, few knew more about Holy Swords than he did.

This revelation strengthened Yuuto's resolve. He had initially sought only to destroy Excalibur, the symbol of his suffering. But now—he could avenge his friends.

And today, having finally seen the man responsible for his past trauma—his desire for revenge burned even brighter.

Therefore, after Valper's escape—Yuuto pursued him relentlessly, not returning that night.

Neither did Xenovia and Irina.

Having finally encountered their target, they had given chase, eager to complete their mission and escape their—domestic servitude.

After all, under Grayfia's tutelage, they were rapidly becoming—competent maids, a situation neither Holy Sword wielder could tolerate. They were likely counting the days until they could escape Grayfia's clutches.

"So—neither Yuuto nor Xenovia and Irina have returned?" Rias asked, her voice filled with concern as she listened to Issei and Koneko's report.

"Do you think something happened to them?" She knew Kokabiel was involved, lurking in the shadows.

"Don't worry. Kokabiel isn't targeting them. He wouldn't bother," Mika reassured her. "Besides, they know Kokabiel is involved. They wouldn't be reckless."

Based on the original story, he knew they would be fine. Even Irina—who would be captured, wouldn't be harmed.

Of course, he wouldn't rely entirely on the original plot; his actions had already altered the timeline significantly.

He was using [Observation Haki] to monitor Kuoh Town. He would intervene if necessary. Unlike when Kokabiel had first arrived, Mika's recent tests had confirmed that he couldn't detect Haki.

Hence, Kokabiel was constantly under his surveillance!

"I suppose that's all we can do for now." Rias, unaware of Mika's surveillance, could only hope he was right. After all, she had no idea where Yuuto and the others had gone. Otherwise, she would have already intervened.

"That's all for tonight. Koneko, Issei, go home and rest." Issei, and Asia were now staying at Mika's apartment, at Rias's insistence, after learning of Kokabiel's presence and his interest in her.

She wanted to protect them from Kokabiel and his Stray Exorcists.

"Yes, Buchou."

As they left, Akeno entered, carrying a tray of freshly brewed tea.

She, too—had moved into Mika's apartment. However, unlike Issei, and Asia, who had been ordered to stay there by Rias, Akeno had volunteered.

After all, everyone else was involved in this—interesting situation.

She didn't want to be left out.

"How are things progressing?" she asked, pouring them each a cup of tea.

"Everything's ready. We're just waiting for the right moment," Mika replied, taking a sip of his tea, his voice filled with confidence.
