Mika nodded, his promise to Alfia weighing heavily on his mind.

However, Airmid's task was also crucial. Her abilities could save countless lives.

In this war between the Familias and the Dark Faction, it was the ordinary citizens who suffered the most. They were the true victims.

Looking around at the chaos, Mika suddenly said, "Since Riveria and Gareth aren't here, Ayu should accompany Airmid."

He turned to Yahweh and Ayu, then addressed Finn. "You'll be staying at Babel Tower, won't you?"

"Yes," Finn confirmed, stepping forward.

"Someone needs to remain here. The enemy will undoubtedly target Babel Tower, attempting to break the seal on the dungeon."

"Then I'll entrust Yahweh-sama to your care," Mika said, turning to his goddess. "Is that alright with you, Yahweh-sama?"

"Don't worry about me," she replied with a wave of her hand and a smile. "Even without my divine powers, I can still handle a few Level 2 adventurers." She winked at Mika.

He smiled, understanding her meaning.

Thanks to Gabriel's Experiences in other worlds, Yahweh, though unable to use her divine powers, could still wield Nen, Magic, and other forms of energy.

"Understood." He nodded, then turned to Finn. "I'm entrusting Airmid, Mellie, and Ayu to your command. Use your wisdom to protect them."

"You can count on me," Finn replied seriously.

Mika nodded and headed towards the Loki Familia's defensive lines.

"Good luck, Mika!"

"We believe in you!"

"You must win!" Alise, Gojouno, and Shakti shouted encouragement as he left.

Yahweh, Mellie, and Airmid silently watched him go.

Unlike the others, whose trust was mixed with worry, they had absolute faith in Mika's abilities.

They knew all they had to do was wait for his return.

"Even though there's only a one-level difference between us, it feels like he's already leagues ahead," Mellie murmured, gazing at his retreating figure.

Airmid nodded silently in agreement.

After leaving the Loki Familia's temporary base, Mika swiftly made his way across the rooftops, heading towards the abandoned church—Alfia's likely hideout.

Their earlier exchange had been more of a playful challenge than a formal agreement, so they hadn't set a specific location for their duel.

He had to find her.

"First, I'll check the church." His pace quickened.

Although the probability of finding her there was low, it was still worth a try.

After all, this was a crucial battle for the Dark Faction, and their strongest assets, Zald and Alfia, wouldn't be idle.

They were undoubtedly tasked with important objectives.

Mika suspected their mission was to eliminate Orario's strongest adventurers.

After all, the disparity in high-level combat power between the Dark Faction and the two main Familias was immense.

The Dark Faction only had one Level 5, Valletta, the Killing Empress, while the Loki and Freya Familias alone had seven Level 6 adventurers, not to mention their numerous Level 5s.

Without eliminating these first-tier adventurers, the Dark Faction had no chance of victory.

Therefore, Mika believed that Zald and Alfia would likely target the Loki and Freya Familias.

He knew that Ottar, Orario's future Level 7, had achieved that level by probably defeating Zald in this very battle.

This suggested Alfia's target was the Loki Familia.

Logically, Mika should head towards their position, to where Riveria and Gareth were leading their forces.

But he didn't.

He wanted a one-on-one duel with Alfia.

If he ambushed her near Riveria and Gareth, they wouldn't allow him to face her alone.

After all, he was officially only Level 5.

Given Riveria's responsible nature, it would be difficult to convince her otherwise.

Therefore, he planned to wait until Alfia engaged them, then arrive and rescue them.

With Riveria's abilities, he would be able to sense their battle, no matter the distance.

And at full speed, he could reach any location within Orario in under three minutes.

Riveria and Gareth, both Level 6 adventurers, could hold out for that long.

If they were still at the peak of Level 5, he wouldn't risk it. They would be no match for Alfia.

Besides, he had another reason. He didn't know when Alfia would attack.

Waiting for hours wasn't ideal. Orario was currently engulfed in flames; adventurers and citizens were dying every minute.

This was the crucial time to save as many lives as possible. He couldn't waste it waiting in ambush.

Racing across the rooftops, a large bow strapped to his back, Mika fired arrows at the Dark Faction members below, saving nearly a hundred lives on his way to the church.

"Heave-ho!" Mika tossed a heavy wooden beam aside, revealing the man trapped beneath. "Are you alright?"

Before the man could answer, two figures rushed to his side.

"Honey!"

"Daddy!" It was his wife and daughter.

Mika smiled, watching them embrace.

"That was a close call." He patted the man's shoulder.

"Save the reunion for later. Let's check your injuries."

They quickly separated, their faces etched with worry.

"My leg…it's broken. I can't move." Despair filled his voice.

A broken leg in the midst of this chaos was a death sentence.

But Mika didn't share his pessimism.

"Just your leg?" He nodded, then turned and shouted, "I need a strong back! Someone injured here!"

A burly man from among the rescued civilians quickly approached.

This was a street Mika had cleared earlier.

He had encountered several trapped civilians while a small group of adventurers struggled against a larger Dark Faction force.

Seeing them about to be overwhelmed, Mika's arrows had saved them.

After he joined the fray, they quickly eliminated the enemy and began rescuing the trapped civilians.

Due to his earlier display of power, they obeyed his commands without question.

After helping the injured man onto the burly civilian's back, Mika instructed, "Stay in the center of the group. Find someone to replace you if you get tired. I'll have the adventurers keep an eye on the wounded."

"Thank you!" the man replied gratefully.

"Thank you, adventurer!" The man's wife and daughter bowed their heads in gratitude.

"It's my duty," Mika said, smiling at the little girl, then turned to a group of nearby adventurers.

"Inferno Blaze Emperor!" They stood up and greeted him respectfully.

In Orario, addressing stronger adventurers by their titles was customary.

It was an adventurer's second name.

"Are there any more people who need rescuing?" Mika asked, returning their greetings.

"No, everyone nearby has been rescued," a young female adventurer replied.

"Then head back to Babel Tower. Follow this route." He pointed out the path he had cleared earlier.

"It should be safe for a while. But don't delay. Things can change quickly."

"Yes!"

"Good luck. Take care of the civilians, especially the wounded."

"We will, Inferno Blaze Emperor!"

"I'm counting on you." He waved goodbye and leaped onto a nearby rooftop, disappearing from sight.

"He must be off to rescue others," the young adventurer said, watching him go, her eyes filled with admiration.

"Of course," the other adventurers chuckled. It was expected of a hero.

"Ignite! With this ring of flames, I command thee!" Mika chanted, transforming his magic into a flaming arrow.

Whoosh!

The arrow flew, exploding amidst a group of Dark Faction members, incinerating them. Ignoring the aftermath, he quickly moved on, his Enhanced Senses confirming no other life signs nearby.

With his flaming bow and arrows, his range had increased dramatically.

Sometimes, those he saved didn't even see him.

If not for the traces of fire left behind, they wouldn't even know they had been rescued.

He soon reached the abandoned church. It was empty. He wasn't surprised.

"This area is clear. Time to move on." Without pausing, he continued his journey, saving countless lives along the way.

With his current strength, no one, besides Alfia and Zald, could match him.

He moved through the city like a wraith, his progress unimpeded.

He was glad he hadn't chosen to wait in ambush. He would have saved far fewer lives.

However, he couldn't continue like this indefinitely.

After rescuing another group of adventurers, a massive ice pillar suddenly erupted in the distance.

"There she is." He smiled, recognizing Riveria's magic.

Only Alfia could force her to use such a large-scale spell within Orario.

"Stay safe. I'm going to provide support elsewhere." With that, he vanished.

His rescue mission was over.

Compared to saving people one by one, ending the battle was a far more effective way to save lives.

And to do that, he had to defeat Alfia and Zald.

Once they were gone, the Dark Faction would pose no further threat.

He raced across the rooftops, quickly reaching the location where Riveria had unleashed her magic.

He saw Riveria sent flying by Alfia's attack.

"Perfect timing," he chuckled, leaping towards her.
