DxD│A Devil with Three Essences

│1st Person POV of Meliodas│

[Underworld Realm, Valefor Territory, Valerfor Lord's Mansion…]

I let out a smile at Morgiana's excited expression before reaching into my shirt and removing the chain around my neck.

On the chain was the shrunken form of the Boosted Gear.

Separating the Sacred Gear from the chain, I laid it above my right palm. Soon, the red gauntlet grew bigger and returned to its original size.

"Are you ready, Morgiana? Ddraig?" I asked.

"I am ready."

"Get on with it, brat. This should have been done ages ago."

After receiving their response, I stepped close to Morgiana.

I placed the Sacred Gear on her chest, with the main jewel of the gauntlet touching her skin, before starting the process.

The next moment, the red gauntlet began to sink into her chest slowly as a crimson glow surrounded Morgiana's figure.

I was imitating the process of how an Evil Piece bonds to a person's soul to bind the Boosted Gear together with Morgiana's soul.

Additionally, I was also creating a Soul Connection between the two of them. Soul Connection was a lesser version of the Soul Corridor link that Aurora and I share.

Soul Connection allows the exchange of thoughts, memory, energy, skills, spells, etc. through the link between them just like Soul Corridor.

However, unlike the latter, the former required permission from both sides to do so, every single time. It also didn't allow one of them to take control of the other.

This way, it would be like Morgiana was born with the Sacred Gear. This process was also much better than what the Fallen Angels could do.

I would know. After all, apart from the Divine Realms of the various Pantheon, I have spies everywhere, courtesy of Aurora and the innumerable constructs she created through Utility Construct.

So I knew how the Fallen's method of extracting and bestowing the Sacred Gears worked.

Anyway, a few moments later, the Boosted Gear finished merging with Morgiana and I stepped back while declaring, "With this, you are now the Red Dragon Emperor of this generation, Mori.

"Now, try to awaken the Sacred Gear. You remember my lesson on how to do so, right?"

Morgiana nodded without saying anything and closed her eyes.

Nothing happened for a few seconds before Morgiana opened her eyes and took a stance.

The next moment, her left arm glowed brightly. The light from the glow started to take form and cover her left arm.

After the light disappeared, her left arm was covered in a red gauntlet.

However, the gauntlet's shape was different. Instead of having the appearance of a humanoid draconic arm, it looked like a simple Twice Critical gauntlet now.

Although not for long as the next moment, the red gauntlet glowed again, manifesting in its second form, the Dragon Booster Form.

The green jewel at the back of her arm glowed as Ddraig's voice came out of it, "Do not try to evolve the gear to its final form right away, New Partner.

"You should familiarize yourself with [Boost] before looking to play with [Transfer]."

Morgiana wilted under my deadpan share.

She gave a sheepish smile before saying, "Alright. Bring it on, Ddraig."

[Boost]

Morgiana's presence doubled. Her Touki flared to life around her, forming a cloak of power.

Her Conqueror's Haki also burst out in an uncontrollable manner as crimson lightning rained down on the surrounding area, dealing slight damage to the training room's floor.

'Hmm…, Mori's Conqueror's Haki isn't strong enough to deal physical damage to her surroundings. Though it seems that with her increased mental capabilities due to the [Boost], she could.

'Can she also use Conqueror's Infusion with enough [Boost]?' I couldn't help but think to myself.

Morgiana did some maneuvers to bring her powers under control for a few seconds before I interjected, "Just come at me. A spar will help you control your powers much better.

"Also, don't [Boost] her anymore, Ddraig. Let her adjust to 2x power for now and we will if she can try more [Boost] within the next thirty minutes."

"Alright."

So, for the next half an hour, I let Morgiana have a go at me.

In that time, she grew to be able to comfortably fight with having four [Boost] active constantly. Anything more than that, she was struggling hard to keep her powers in check.

And Morgiana wasn't willing to use [Boost] more than what she could control, considering uncontrollable power was her biggest fear and trauma.

I wanted to see how many [Boost] her body could handle in total before ending the training session, however, I had to discard that thought for now.

As we exited the training room, I decided, 'Well, it seems that it was time to force the issue. Not today or this week, however.

'After all, according to my information, Cleria is going to get attacked in the next few days. I have to see through the event myself to ensure that she comes out a winner in this confrontation.'

Leaving that aside, for now, it was time for us to join Rias and Sairaorg. Only one last thing to do before that, however.

"Alright, that's enough for now."

With that declaration, Morgiana stopped mid-strike before backing off.

"Go ahead and unlock the true form of the Boosted Gear. Though we won't be able to test out [Transfer] today." I said. Morgiana nodded in response before closing her eyes.

[Reset]

Being a Devil who has been training her body for more than four years now, she wasn't affected by the drawback of [Reset] that stops the Sacred Gear's user from using [Boost] for a period of time.

[Dragon Booster Second Liberation]

Ddraig's voice rang out before the Sacred Gear changed into the Boosted Gear Gift form.

With this, she only has Balance Breaker and Juggernaut Drive left to unlock before she would have to find her own path on how to advance the Boosted Gear further.

I wonder which path she will take after that.

Abyss Side Balance Breaker like Tobio Ikuse or her own version of Diabolos Dragon like Vali Lucifer and Issei Hyoudou did in Canon.

[Human World, Japan, Kouh Town…]

A few hours ago, a little bird told Aurora that some imbeciles were starting their attempt to assassinate Cleria Belial.

I am annoyed with this because the Fan Meet was going to start within the next ten minutes or so.

Although I have left a Clone behind to take my place in the event I don't return in time, with Aurora keeping an eye on that Clone so that he doesn't mess up, I want to attend the event in person.

However, Cleria's event was more important than the Fan meet.

So, here I am, watching Cleria stroll through Kouh Park, acting like she was on a patrol of her territories and just so happened to pass through this secluded area.

She was actually waiting for the Devils from Great King Faction to arrive as she also knew that they were going to attack today.

I was the one who informed her–

'Correction. Aurora was the one who did that, Boss.'

'Yes, yes, you did, alright?'

Anyway, it seems that the show is about to start. I hope you impress me, Cleria Belial.

│3rd Person POV│

While walking through a secluded part of Kouh Park, Cleria thought of the message she received along with the other bizarre things she experienced in the past year.

Approximately a year ago, she was contacted by a mysterious person in the middle of the night, just when she was about to go to sleep.

Apart from the person's unfathomable prowess and his gender, she didn't know anything about him. Even his gender was something she assumed to be male based on his voice.

— Flashback —

In their first meeting, he said that he found her interesting and wanted to give her a chance to serve under him.

Cleria of course rejected the notion without a second thought.. She wasn't interested in serving some dark, humanoid shadow with glowing golden-yellow eyes.

Hell, she wasn't interested in serving under anyone.

If she did, she would have accepted when Diehaurser offered her the position of Bishop in her Peerage.

She didn't expect the answer she received from the person.

"I reject your rejection." The shadow had declared.

And the next moment, her right hand was on top of his left hand and a Magic Circle was hovering above her palm.

It was her Belial Clan Magic Circle.

"This…!!!" Cleria had attempted to break away from him only to find out that she was paralyzed from the neck down.

If she wanted, she could have screamed to alert her Peerage Members and have them come over to lend some aid.

However, she didn't because she would only endanger them by doing so.

After all, she didn't even notice how and when the person appeared in her bedroom, bypassing the security features of her mansion, how he was somehow capable of summoning her Magic Circle without her consent and messing with it.

After a few moments, the man finished whatever he was doing and Cleria was free to move again.

"I have bestowed upon you a spell that is an inferior version of Ajuka Beelzebub's Kankara Formula. It will help your understanding of various phenomena, whether they be mundane or supernatural, very easily.

"Don't worry about any potential side effects from using an imparted spell; it will calibrate itself to suit you once you summon it for the first time.

"I will come back to see what you have accomplished with my gift after a year. If I am satisfied, you will get the opportunity to serve under me. If not, then I will take back my gift and erase your memory of this event.

"Till then, I wish you luck, Cleria Belial."

— Flashback End —

The first thing she did after the mysterious person disappeared was to contact her cousin and try to tell him about the incident.

The keyword being 'try'.

No matter how much she tried, she couldn't inform anyone of what had transpired that night in any way or form.

Whenever she tried to speak about it, her voice would get stuck. If she tried to note down the event, her hand would get paralyzed.

By the Satans, she had even tried to have Diehauser look into her memories of that night. Even that turned out to be futile.

When he viewed her memories, Diehauser saw that she had just gone to sleep after lying on her bed.

Her cousin was quite concerned about her abnormal behavior, however, as he couldn't find anything wrong with her, there was nothing he could do.

He attempted to persuade her to leave the Overseer duty of Kouh Town to another Devil and go back to the Underworld for a few years.

Cleria rejected that notion as by then, she had already decided that it would be for the best to keep the mysterious person's attention on herself.

If she had to make use of the spell he gave her to become stronger and more useful to do so, she would do it.

That's what she did in the past year. She trained the hardest she ever had in her life.

And now, she was sure that she was capable of contending against Ultimate Class beings with her Clan Trait, Worthless, even though her Demonic Power and physical attributes were only slightly higher than last year.

Only a few days were left until the mysterious person visited her again when she had another breakthrough.

She finally found some definite evidence of the existence of King Piece, the thing she had been investigating for a long time.

However, she never expected her mysterious sponsor to suddenly send her a message, informing her that her snooping around had caught the attention of the Great King Faction and that they were going to come for her today in an attempt to silence her.

He said in the message if she took care of the problem to his satisfaction, she would have passed his test.

Even if she didn't want to dance according to his tunes, she knew that she had no choice.

So, Cleria steeled herself and left her mansion to confront her attackers in a place away from her Peerage Members.

Suddenly, Cleria sensed the appearance of a Teleportation Circle a few meters behind her.

She turned around to face her attackers and saw five Devils appearing in a flash of yellow light.

She recognized the Devil at the front as the Queen Piece of Lord Bael as she readied herself for the upcoming battle.
