DXD : Shinji kouki

"Th-that's right!" Said the red haired teen as a new idea popped into her head. "Koneko! turn off the lights!"

"Hai, Buchou. " Was the petite girl's response.

While she was walking past Shinji, she lowered the curtains of the windows and proceeded to turn off the lights.

Shinji couldn't believe it. It was clear, his eyes were now watching the people in front of him, even though they were completely dark, he could see like a sunny day, every detail, every aspect of the room, their faces, uniforms, even the wings from their backs were visible.

"No…. " He whispered.

". .

. it can't be….

" He walked backwards, his back touching the wall.

"So, you believe me now?" Asked Rias with a smile, proud that she finally proves her point. "That I revived you as a devil last ni-"

"AHHHH HOLY SHIT I'M A DEVIL!" Interrupted the teenager as he started to panic. His hands were shaking as he was running in circles while screaming.

None of the Occult Research Club members were prepared for the scene in front of them, all watched their new comrade freaking out while sharing a deadpan expression.

And thus, Shinji Kouki was now a reincarnated devil.

To say Shinji had a migraine was a misunderstatement, yesterday he found out he died and was revived as a devil, then when he returned to his apartment he tried to sleep, only for him to see like it was day time after turning off the lights. He almost went insane after two hours.

So here he was, sleepy, shocked and angry.

"Why do I feel like these things will be happening from now on?" Said the teenager out loud as he yawned, he was walking to Kuoh Academy as it was time to go to school, he was asked by Rias to go to the Occult Research Club after classes to start with his devil initiation, whatever that is.

Walking through the plaza close to his neighborhood he saw Momo, she was watching the people there. Most of the time Shinji saw kids from Elementary School playing there before going to class.

"Hey Momo, good morning. " The teenager said as he approached his friend.

"Shinji…. .

" Said the white haired teen as she watched her friend walking to her, she had a sad face while watching him, then it shifted to one of anger. Shinji knew what this meant, it was her 'you messed up big time' face, he knew a scolding was coming his way.

"Ok, first off I don't know what happened, but it wasn't me oka-" The teenager's excuse for an apology was cut as her friend dragged him out of the plaza. 'Come with me.

' Was the order she gave him; said girl made him walk to Kuoh Academy and hid behind a wall where no one could hear them.

"So…. " The teenager tried to say something to break the silence.

"What's the problem now-"

"Shut up. Just….

. shut up.

" His friend cut him. "I'm trying to hold back a headache because of you now.

" The girl was now using one hand to shut Shinji, the other was massaging her templates.

"Anyway . .

. what's up?" The black haired teen tried again to talk with his friend.

"What's up? What's up!? Don't you 'what's up' me!" The girl responded as she started to scream at the teenager in front of her.

Her eyes twitching from rage, her eyebrows frowned, her mouth curling into the one of an angry wolf ready to strike its prey, her breathing heavier as she inhales and exhales air; Shinji knew an ass whooping was coming his way.

"Woah woah, calm down Momo. What's gotten into you?" Said the black haired teen as he separated himself a little from his friend.

'The hell did I do now?' Was all he thought while running a memory check to one of his daily antics, none of them ending bad enough to get scolded like this.

"What's gotten into me!? Shinji do you-" The girl suppressed an angry noise coming from her mouth, "-Do you even realize what you've gotten yourself into!?"

"As a matter of fact, no, I don't. Really Momo, the hell are you shouting at me for this time!?" Even if he always listened to his friend's scolding, this time wasn't the case.

The teen barely knew what was happening or why she was so angry at him now.

"It's because you've gotten yourself killed, you idiot!" The white haired girl shouted. "I told you to be careful, I told you not to roam around late at night and yet you, as you always do, goof around doing what you want instead of what I say! And worse of all you're now a reincarnated devil!"

"Well excuse me for being a-" Before he finished his response, the teenager realized what his friend said, "Wait, how do you-"

"-It doesn't matter how I know. " Momo finished for him.

"What matters now is that you're a devil Shinji! You've gotten yourself into a world of darkness! You're now tied to your master and the devil society! And for what, play the 'knight in shiny armor' role!?"

"It's not like that Momo!" The teenager snapped, he ran out of patience. "You think I can leave a place like that!? After seeing a person lying down there!? And what if it was you, huh!? You think I can leave you, Issei, Kiryuu or anyone else like that because my gut was telling me!?"

"Well then maybe your gut is smarter than you!"

"And maybe you need to shut up!"

"Shut up!? Who do you think you are to tell me to shut up!?"

"Someone taller than you, that's who!"

"Well what you got in stature you also have it in brain damage!"

As the pair started to throw insults at each other, everyone else listened to them discussing, again. So they did what they usually do, walk a little further away from them.

"Enough! I'm having a shitty week as it is! Why do you even care anyway!? I'm alive and talking to you, right!? Why does it matter that I'm a devil now!?" Shinji finally said, he wasn't in the...…
