DxD: I Am Light With Villain System

Chapter 39: Chapter 38: An Advantageous Contact

The information he had on Yuki was clear, the appearance of Momo Belia Deviluke was known to Light Yagami... but he had to pretend not to know so as not to make the friendly moment look bad.

About halfway through their workload, they find a place to sit down and decide to breathe in the air around them.

Light and Momo sat down on a small mound of grass at the school and decided to observe the landscape ahead, giving them a view of the city from where they were standing.

The gentle breeze stirred Momo's pink strands as she looked down at the city below. There was something almost mesmerizing about the way her eyes sparkled in the evening light, but Light kept his expression as calculated as ever. He needed to play the part of the casual colleague, not the meticulous strategist he really was.

"It's nice, isn't it?" commented Momo, a soft smile forming on her lips.

"Yes, especially at this time of day," replied Light, measuring each word. He couldn't seem overly interested, but he didn't want to seem disinterested either. Creating the right atmosphere was key to extracting information without arousing suspicion.

Momo laughed softly, hugging her knees as she leaned forward slightly. "You don't look like the kind of person who usually takes the time to enjoy the view. Am I wrong?"

Light let out a small smile, more to feed the interaction than out of genuine amusement. "You're not completely wrong. But some things are worth observing, depending on the company."

Momo blushed slightly, but quickly shifted her gaze back to the city. "You're full of surprises, Light-kun. Yuki didn't comment that you were so... considerate."

"Ah, Yuki," Light replied, feigning a casual tone. "Does he talk about me a lot?"

It was a simple question, but for Light, it was a test. He watched Momo's reaction carefully, analyzing every micro-expression for clues.

She tilted her head, answering. "Yes, he ends up talking too badly about you... I don't really understand why, since you did a positive action in that incident in the dining room."

Light was a little confused, but quickly realized that Yuki should have understood that his intention had always been clear... falling on a beautiful girl's breasts would somehow inflict a new beginning on a story.

Apart from the fact that, even after this problem, Momo was still by his side to help him with the Harem Plan, it would be advantageous to try to get Momo to fight with Yuki, since it's disgusting for a girl of this size to be used as his ladder for other girls.

"But I see you as a nice person, I'm sorry if I suddenly pretended not to know you..." Momo laments as she puts her head between her legs and stares into the dark.

Light rests his hand on her head and gives her a little caress so that she doesn't feel too guilty for hiding this truth.

"It's okay, I hope he didn't overdo it," said Light, with a tone that was a mixture of humility and joking. "It's not hard to understand, I just did my part."

Momo smiled as she kept her head down, but there was something in her eyes that still left her with many doubts.

She lifted her head and looked straight ahead, trying to find a solution, and Light watched her without really understanding what she was thinking.

With a snap of her fingers, she finally understood what she had been doing wrong all this time, and quickly stood up, happy to have figured it out.

"Thanks again Light, I have to go now!" Momo, with a tone of enthusiasm and satisfaction, starts to run across the lawn below... but Light grabs her by the hand.

"Wait, you forgot this."

Light hands her the cell phone she had forgotten on the grass, Momo takes it gently and smiles in thanks for remembering not to lose it.

"If you want to talk or need anything, you can contact me through this." Light hands her a slip of paper with his personal contact number on it.

"That's fine, thank you very much." She bids Light farewell as she walks to Kuoh College, and Light gives a small smile at having gained yet another support contact.

With this small advantage, he can acquire both her data and keep Yuki's data encrypted on his computer... Momo doesn't know that Light keeps Yuki Rito's very private things on file, both the recordings of the lunchroom incident and her home.

The key point is whether Yuki has somehow evolved into seeking revenge for being extremely humiliated in public, he's got a huge grudge against Light and quite possibly must have looked for a thousand ways to improve himself physically or similarly to get the better of him.

"Apparently he still holds a lot of grudges... I think it would be good to put an end to that." Light reflects as he smiles evilly, loving the feeling of hatred from such a weak boy.

[The Deviluke princess, Momo Belia, has had a significant change in her perception of her host. Her Fortune increased by 50 points and her Fate points by 150]

On a Friday evening, a door was shown... and through that door, there was a dark room, where on the right side of it, there was a cupboard with a picture forcefully nailed with a knife pierced over a man's face

"The day will come, Light Yagami." The message written in bloodstains was stencilled below the picture.
