Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training

Chapter 45: Is This What VIP Feels Like?

Half a month had passed since Shada Mo ascended the throne. The rebuilding of Tuwang Star was steadily progressing, and the once desolate oasis had grown vibrant with the arrival of a million inhabitants.

Krillin wiped the sweat from his forehead, turned off the gravity training, and sat comfortably on the ground.

"Check stats," he muttered.

Time: Age 757

Name: Krillin

Age: 21

Race: Earthling

Dimension: Level 1 (equivalent to Master Korin)

Combat Power: 390,000 (Next threshold: 5,000,000)

Potential: 4,610,000

Training Speed: Lightspeed

"So fast!" Krillin thought, reflecting on his progress. "It's been a year since I arrived in the Dragon Ball world (excluding time spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber). In just one year, I've raised my combat power to 390,000. Pretty incredible, right?"

While 390,000 was enough to dominate a galaxy, Krillin still felt immense pressure. His enemy, Frieza, loomed like a mountain with a combat power of 120 million, weighing heavily on his chest.

"In the next four years, I'll need to increase my combat power by at least 40 million annually to barely catch up to Frieza. At my current lightspeed training rate, that's a pipe dream."

Krillin frowned. "System, how much energy is left?"

System: "Remaining energy: 98,000. Senzu beans: 750. Total available energy: 473,000."

Krillin had secretly collected energy-rich ores from the other nine slave zones. Yet, despite his efforts, the haul amounted to less than 100,000 units of energy, leaving him disappointed.

"Even with my current pace, I'm barely keeping up. If I don't push harder now, I'll just end up as background noise when the Z era begins," Krillin mused.

"I can't let that happen. System, I need to accelerate my progress," Krillin decided. "It's time to activate VIP mode, even if it's a waste of energy. I'll figure out the energy problem later. For now, I have to focus on increasing my combat power."

"System, can we negotiate?" Krillin asked cautiously.

"What do you mean?"

"Can we make VIP mode cheaper?" he muttered hopefully.

"Do you think that's how this works?" the system shot back.

Krillin gritted his teeth. "Fine! Activate VIP mode! I have energy to spare!"

System Notification:

"VIP training speed: 30,000 energy per month. Monthly package: 2% discount. Annual package: 10% discount."

"Ugh, stop trying to tempt me with that measly discount! Just give me the monthly plan!" Krillin groaned, reluctantly accepting the cost.

As the system activated VIP mode, Krillin extended his hand, feeling every cell in his body harmonize with the surrounding space. For a moment, he felt as if he was the center of the universe.

System VIP Benefits:

Base combat power growth: +5,000 per day Enhanced martial arts comprehension Increased absorption speed for senzu bean plantations Additional perks: [N listed benefits]

"Is this all?" Krillin frowned. "5,000 a day is too slow. System, are you sure this is all you can do?"

The system chuckled. "Why don't you try VIP 2? Or better yet, aim for VIP 8? As long as you have enough energy, anything is possible."

Krillin rolled his eyes. "System, are you secretly an employee of a certain penguin company?"

"Of course not. This system was meticulously crafted by Emperor Ma—"

"Enough. Go back to sleep," Krillin interrupted, exasperated.

Looking at the remaining 173,000 energy, Krillin sighed. "All I do these days is hunt for energy or think about how to find more energy."

Still, the perks of VIP mode eased his frustration somewhat.

"I'll have to deal with bigger problems soon. I killed Zarveiza's men, and he'll find out eventually. Waiting for him to make the first move is a bad idea. I should strike first and divert King Cold's attention away from Tuwang Star."

"Zarveiza's forces are known as the 'Mech Army.' I wonder how much energy they have stored?" Krillin pondered, scratching his head.

5,000 Lightyears Away

In the middle of a fierce battle, Zarveiza suddenly froze, feeling as though he were being watched.

His hesitation didn't go unnoticed by his opponent—a beautiful woman clad in crimson battle armor, her silver hair flowing like the Milky Way and her crystal-clear eyes radiating a deadly aura. Her body bore numerous scars, and her surroundings exuded a chilling bloodlust.

Noticing Zarveiza's distraction, the woman took her chance and vanished in a flash of silver light.

Watching her escape, Zarveiza clenched his fists in frustration. Furious, he unleashed energy blasts in every direction, leveling the battlefield.

A yellow-haired alien cautiously approached him. "Captain?"

Zarveiza regained his composure and growled, "She escaped again!"

Looking at the direction she had fled, Zarveiza muttered coldly, "Let's go."

Back on Tuwang Star

"Ugh, so annoying!" Shada Mo grumbled, staring at the pile of proposals in front of him. "Looking at this stuff every day is driving me insane."

"Ian, you handle this. I need to focus on training so I can protect Tuwang Star better," he declared, shoving the paperwork toward Ian.

Ian sighed but relented, thinking, "Shada Mo is still so young. It's unrealistic to expect him to handle these responsibilities. We elders will just have to bear the burden."

Seeing Ian nod, Shada Mo's grin widened. "The people entrusted me with this responsibility. I can't let them down. With Ian's approval, everything's settled!"

Shada Mo happily ran off, leaving Ian behind.

Watching Shada Mo's retreating figure, Ian smiled to himself. "A good kid. Maybe entrusting my daughter to him wouldn't be such a bad idea."

Krillin's Departure

"Lord Krillin! Lord Krillin! I'm here!" Shada Mo called out excitedly.

"Slow down!" Krillin's voice came from ahead. "You're a king now. You can't be so reckless. What would your people think?"

"It's fine! You're the savior of Tuwang Star. Anyone who disrespects you would have no place here," Shada Mo said earnestly.

Krillin smiled inwardly. "Seems I underestimated him. This kid isn't as simple as he looks."

After a pause, Krillin said, "I'm leaving soon."

"Leaving? Lord Krillin, why?" Shada Mo asked, shocked.

Krillin nodded slightly. "The aliens who invaded Tuwang Star were small fry. The real threats are still out there."

Shada Mo wasn't surprised. He had heard Krillin mention this before.

"The mysterious woman… any guesses who she might be? Haha!"
